    Thanks for sharing. I have an 05 trafic showing low fuel pressure and started cutting out friday. Drive few minutes and it cuts out again. Very hard to start it. I changed the fuel filter but no better. This looks like it could be the culprit.

    Would you know if my fuel pump gause might be blocked? '07 Trafic with big bubbles in transperent fuel line near the filter. Engine starts then quickly stops. Priming the line with the bulb gets it going then driving seems ok although often at trafic lights lack of revs in first gear. Need to clutch it sometimes to get revs moving. No diesel leakage or smell of diesel under the bonnet. No error code nor any lights on dash. Fuel filter recently replaced and a good brand. Any ideas please before I go to all the trouble of dropping the fuel tank??

    • @stuungar3390
      @stuungar3390 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @antz123-m3f - air can be introduced to the fuel through suction so diesel wouldn't go out. I think the best way would be to check all fuel line connections (look for perished etc) then check fuel line for ruptures wears etc , if it's an air leak and not releasing diesel then it's not likely to be low down as the weight of the diesel in the tank pressurises and diesel should leak out. Have you changed your fuel filter etc?

    • @antz123-m3f
      @antz123-m3f 24 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@stuungar3390 yes i recently changed the filter. When this intermittent fault happens, the engine first of all starts, then stops before I get out of the driveway. Then either the STOP light or engine light or maybe both come on. I even saw the glow plug heater light coming on despite my changing all of these very recently. Then I go and prime the fuel line and wait a few mins. Then try to start again. And it usually does, but only after maybe 20 or 30 seconds with starter motor engaged. Its like the engine is fuel starved. Then when it does finally start and runs, all these bubbles are in the fuel line up near the filter. Ill check the lines. Its just getting round to doing it without a garage hoist is going to be a pain in the arse literally!

    • @stuungar3390

      @antz123-m3f do you see the air bubbles on the line in, or line out to the engine from the filter?

    Hi Peter, could this problem with the sensor cause the van to idle but not rev when warm? It does eventually rev but I notice the idle speed is low then gradually creeps up to about 800 RPM then it will rev ok, or if your on a hill and increase the RPM in gear that way. I'm waiting for a new accelerator pedal thinking it could be that. Thanks

    • @kennedysgarage3281
      @kennedysgarage3281  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If yours is the 1.9d engine, the most common issues with them running wise is EGR valves & Airflow meters.
      But both of them normally create fault codes, have you a EOBD code reader ??

    • @acewelding
      @acewelding ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kennedysgarage3281 yes it is the 1.9 thanks for the reply. I’ve blanked off the EGR and tried 3 different MAFS. No fault codes register. I’ve ordered a the pedal to see if that works, but as the fault seems to happen mostly when the engine is hot I don’t think it will solve the problem. It wouldn’t happen if I could increase the idle speed.

    I have a 1.9 Diesel Renault Trafic '06. Disconnecting the pressure sensor and probing with a volt meter, gives me 5 volts on pin 3 , when pin 1 is ground. Now, when I probe the middle wire of the connector, I get 15 mV D.C and not the 4.9 volts that you recorded. Any ideas? Thanks ? Do you think I should change the pressure sensor ?

    • @kennedysgarage3281
