Thank you! I've only ever shipped cookies a couple of times and it was just a few so I'm no expert. What I do know is tons of bubble wrap and make sure there's no movement in the box so when you shake it, nothing moves inside, so stuff it with buble wrap or paper until that happens!
Not really a good long term solution, but I use shredded waxed/parchment paper for shreds. I also use the “natural” kind (the kind that’s brown) for a natural look
I usually get a bag thats at least 4 inches wide because thats how wide my cookies are, I like to some that are 5 inches too because sometimes when you have a thicker cookie and layers of icing you need a little extra space. So my go to sizes are 4x7, size 4.5x10 (this size is good if your tying them with ribbon) or sometimes I can bag 2 cookies with this one cause its tall, and size 5x8 for my bigg cookies!
Great info! You can also buy these cookie pouches made of bubbie wrap and it really protects the cookies from getting smashed or broken. They also have clear plastic envelopes for cookies and it has a glue seal you just peel back and stuck together no heating machine needed however the pouches may be more costly than the heat sealer
Hi! This is my icing recipe, I don't live ina super humid area so you may have to add a bit less water but it should work! th-cam.com/video/L5mVKZnTqac/w-d-xo.html
@Little Cookie Co So I went to your link for the "heat sealed bags" .... but the companys instructions so that under ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: it says: Heat Sealable: not recommended. So maybe this is an incorrect link?
Hello! If you’re giving them individually wrapped to the customer how do you hand them their cookies? Do you bring them in something and make sure they bring something to carry them in?
Sometimes I'll have bigger versions of these boxes on hand and line them up in the boxes, so not on top of each other but put them sideways and one behind the other. I've also just lined them up in paper bags before too, for that I'd suggest doing it for studier cookies, so ones that don't have any narrow sections so they don't break.
I do! I love making them every since I figure them out. I have a video on the method, but it doesn't include a recipe because I bought it so it wouldn't be fair to post it. But really its the process not the recipe that will make it successful. Here's the video: th-cam.com/video/CebdK-ZUlso/w-d-xo.html

OMGOSHHHH...all amazing ideas and tips, makes me want to have a real cookie business...but first I have to learn how to make beautiful cookies like yours😞 You are so talented and a true cookie artist👍❤️💕
Awww thank you!! I don't even sell my cookies anymore but I just love that I have all my packaging stuff leftover so when I bring some someone's house it still looks so special! I know you can make them just as beautiful if not better ♥️♥️
@@LittleCookieCo Hi! I noticed how a lot of cookie sellers on youtube stopped selling their amazing sugar cookies and I was wondering why? Does it drain people out?
It is very draining, a lot of time goes into them and a lot of cookiers like myself have other full time non-cookie jobs. Most people don't charge enough to make it worth while because they feel like people won't pay. And I know a lot of bakers have said that cakes are much more profitable because they can charge a good price and they take much less time. Hopefully cookies will get to that point as well one day!
I used to have deeper and wider boxes where I could put more in there, but haven't had them recently. I know some people get deep boxes and then will lay the cookies sideways so they're in a row so they're not on top of eachother if you're worried about them getting smashed. My cookies are quite sturdy so if I lay them on top of the one next to it or behind it they usually are ok!
Hey unrelated note, your cookies you gave us in class are delicious! Thank you for making us cookies and for free, you really are a good cookie creator, subscribed!
When I put my dried cookies in a heat sealed bag, the total icing will “stick” to the bag & almost get wet & smear. I have no idea what I’m doing wrong or how to stop this. Do you have any suggestions?
How long do you let your cookies dry for?I normally leave them at least 8 hours or longer uncovered. Sometimes the surface is really dry but the icing may be slightly wet under or its really humid and it's not full dry. Another thing is the type of bag you use that could be causing the issue, sometimes different plastics don't do as well. I believe mine are polypropylene (I have them linked under the video) and I've never had issues with them.
You could technically try and work out your ingredient cost and then add an hourly wage etc. I've never actually sat down and done that though. But if you're consistently busy with cookie orders, then it's a good sign you need to raise your prices. It has to be worth it for you to make them and be compensated fairly for your time and effort. Also, depends on the detail, amount of colours, size of cookies, if they want individual packaging etc. All of those things should be considered and added on to your minimum prices..
@@LittleCookieCo Hi thank you for your reply and love can i substitute the bakery emulsion because i can't find it at bakery supplier shop .thank you again
You can leave it out if you can't find it. Or you can add a different flavour if you'd like! Its only for flavour so leaving it out won't affect your icing 😊
Great video! First time cookie baker just for fun. How do you prevent your cookie designs from “sweating” or melting in the plastic bags? I had beautiful designs on my cookies but once I put them in the plastic bags the designs were fuzzy and melted looking. Any advice is much appreciated.
Hi and thank you!! It sounds like maybe you were using a different type of icing? If you are using royal icing you would have to let it dry about 8 hours or overnight on the counter uncovered for them to be fully dried and be able to bag them. I have my icing recipe here, maybe that will work better for you? th-cam.com/video/L5mVKZnTqac/w-d-xo.html
@@LittleCookieCo Thank you!!! I used royal icing. That's where I messed up. I did not let it sit out long enough. Only an hour. Thank you for the advice. I will give this a try for my Christmas cookies.
Oh good, glad you figured it out! It takes a really long time to dry so I always make sure to finish them the night before I need them. That way there's no question if they'll be dry enough to package 🥰

Yes or course you can! You don't need to have the exact same things, try to see what you can yet locally or online. And try to see if there are any cookiers near you or in India to share ideas. I know some of the Facebook groups I'm in have people from all over the world!
In certain areas yes and others no. Where I am I don't need one but I hear in a lot of places in the US you need a cottage food license or something along those lines!
