Thank you for the great advice. The more solid box is a great idea. Also individually wrapped is such a small thing to do but has great benefits. Thank you. Cheers!
Love your videos! I am making and sealing cookies for a wedding that I have to bring in my carry on bag on a plane. Yikes! Do you know of an easy way to open a sealed bag without scissors for those who want to eat them at the wedding?
Will they have a wedding coordinator that you can contact to ask to have scissors available at the venue for you? I agree - you will need you them heat sealed for the plane and traveling. Then, once at the venue - you can open them all up before plating them for the guests. Or I imagine most venues would have scissors available somewhere. 😬 That’s definitely a predicament!!
I also loathe cake boxes for that exact reason. I would much rather my cookies be secure and arrive unbroken than dropped with a flimsy box. Question for you. I am shipping dozen floral cookies out of state. Any packing suggestions for those delicate flowers?
Flower cookies make me the most nervous, butI have shipped them successfully. Do you individually bubble wrap each cookie when shipping? I line my box with bubble wrap and then I also individually bubble wrap each cookie. Make sure your most fragile flowers have the least amount of pressure on them. And if you have grocery store plastic bags, fill up any empty space in your box with those bags. It may not look pretty, but it is worth it!! It's a fine line of makings sure that your cookies have plenty of space in the box but also making sure that empty space is filled with bags (or bubble wrap but bags are cheaper).
I would recommend the 6x6 for one dozen! Remember you will have to cut off the lid and layer them standing up - not stacking them on top of each other. 🧡 also, when factoring in your costs - be sure to include the additional cost of the packaging so you might want to raise your price $1 per dozen to cover your additional box cost! But these boxes are absolutely worth it! I highly recommend them!! Here is the link! www.uline.com/Product/Detail/S-16642/Indestructo-and-Literature-Mailers/6-x-6-x-1-1-4-White-Literature-Mailers

I want to make the Levain cookies that use 6oz of dough. What size bag would you recommend to use?

Don’t care about the box. How did you seal the cookies?
Do you package this way with Esty orders?
