Thank you for the follow up video! We have been dowsing around our property in hopes of one day having our selves a well. Not many people in our area have a well. Deep drilling through bedrock in most cases makes it quite expensive. But, we will see!
Glad to see an update! Did the well drilling company offer any additional input on location? That’s a very deep well in our region unless you’re on a mountain/hill.
They didn’t offer much other than to keep drilling deeper. We’re technically on top of a foothill, Lake Hartwell makes the land feel more level here, but we’re at the top of the old ridge that goes down to Little Beaverdam Creek aka Hartwell today. They had to go through 300 ft of granite 😳
@@cottagefarmstead I ask because most often, well drilling companies offer that service. I’ve been dowsing or witching for water for many years but haven’t heard about the depth or flow rate.
Deeper is probably better; but drilling companies get paid by the foot. Therefore the deeper they go; the more money for them. Not very reliable for the correct answer to the dowsing rods. I haven't used them. My dad did have a well dowsed about 40 years ago. Don't know much else about it. Thanks
Thanks for the update. Such a sweet couple ❤

😮
Oooo
Just curious, did you ask the drilling company where they think would be a good spot to drill?
They didn't have anything special to find a location. They just told us to mark where we wanted them to drill.

So, in other words, the dowsing did not work. If you drill 500+ feet anywhere except Sahara, you are likely to hit water...
