How to Repair TCL TV Vertical Lines on Screen || LED TV Display Troubleshooting || Easy Method

- How do you fix vertical lines appearing on a TCL TV screen?
The only way I have been able to ‘repair’ these faults without replacing faulty t-cons was by opening up a screen and (TV Display Troubleshooting & Repair) applying some push and pull force to the ribbon cables to see if it helped.
If I was lucky enough to find a sweet spot I'd use strong tape to hold the ribbon in place.
The fault is often a loose connection or break in the very thin cables that carry signals to the screen, but can't be properly fixed without replacing the entire screen/tv so the tape fix is better than nothing.
There are obvious safety issues with opening up a TV if you don't know what you doing.

okay i didnt even touch my tv and all of a sudden its a black screen with big white lines going vertically through it, it also has a purple line at the bottom and a light blue line at the top. it still plays sound but i dont know what to do

Hi i have tcl 65 inch tv i bought it 6 months before and i dont use it so often but today i just turn on today and see vertical line in middle and horizontal on bottom . Pls help
Basically the Vertical lines on tv screen due to bad FPC cable.
Before this please disconnect all external devices and unplug the power plug 🔌 from tv. Hold tv power button for few seconds.
Now connect all cables tightly and plug carefully.
hopefully this can solve the problem. If not work then reply me.

Ever since I plugged in my fire stick hdmi cord my screen is showing white vertical lines , I have reset the tv. Removed the cords and everything I have no clue what else to do.
Hello sir, please unplug all external devices from tv. Unplug power cable from wall. Wait 5 min. Hold power button to discharge electricity. Then plug back in and try. If same problem persist then problem is on internal lvds cable.

Hi Lovella gamolo, there are two reasons for the problem:
1. Tv fpc cable problem ( connect with t con board)
2. Tv backlight led block / strip problem.

i just replaced my t-con board with a brand new one and now i have like 3 blueish vertical bars on my screen. One is at the left side of the screen and sometimes its hard to even notice and the other two are just to the left of the center of the screen. I can still see through these bars at whats being displayed on the screen. The tv is a TCL 55US57-W. I bought a package of replacement cables for everything on the tv because the t-con board i bought didn't come with cables and on the two ribbon connectors on the one side of the board they have a black line on them to tell you if you have them pushed in far enough and when pushed all the way in you can't see the black line and the cable that connects on the other side of the t-con board is a flex ribbon and where it connects to the main board it has a dotted line on it and when i pushed it in i could still see the dotted line no matter how hard i pushed and im wondering if this is normal for the dotted line to still be visible when pushed all the way in. If this isn't my issue with my tv can someone please give me some ideas of what i can try to fix this please. Thanks :-)
My tcl all of the sudden half of the screen had vertical rainbow lines and did a factory reset and it worked for now

Hi lawrence sunga, there are two reasons for this issue.
1. Bad lvds cable
2. Bad tv panel
So please check the faulty parts and replace or repair the board.

The device from globe (roku) cause the damaged of our TCL TV. I'm here because of the small line that is visible. The same device that damage our samsung tv for 10 yrs!
I activated the roku device because it has to be activated before December 15, 2020 and it can only be use for 1 year only. This is free but the damage is also free. Fuck this device. I was about to give it to someone else but then I realize that it can only DAMAGE THE TV!!
