    2nd comment: omg that T2 hand. I love the logic you talked through about him likely betting his own hand on the river if he made it because it doesn't look like you have much of a hand to bet with as played. That's the kind of thinking that separates good players from great players; good stuff man.

    In the AJ hand I think you always just call the river. Even if you're good it's not by much, and you can't expect him to call with worse more often than he will just have you beat; and he isn't folding better.

    Great run great video. KJ was a punt tho. We have to find a balance between being aggresive and preserving our stack. That's why poker is a beautiful game.

    • @Jermo484
      @Jermo484 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a pretty standard call for 15 bb if there isn't a serious ICM implication like a bunch of tiny stacks near a big pay jump.

  • @christianbache4074
    @christianbache4074 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    In these massive field tournaments with loads of different players you are only gonna play with during a short timespan: for sure go a more milky sizing of like 120-140K on the QQ hand as an exploit. Save the balanced stuff for smaller field tournaments against more skilled experienced opponents imo. My few cents.

    Hey @KevinRobMartin, I'm a big fan. What I think about the AJh hand is just to flat the river bet because your hand is not that strong to call a 3bet on the river. AJh is just a bluff catcher on that spot. But overall it was a good fold! GLHF on your future games! Jah Bless!

  • @bryankarst3881

    I moved to Vegas from Ohio 22 years ago. Rollin in my Cavalier...Red, it's a red Cavalier..!? (anyone who knows what movie that is from is a legend) Anyway I primarily bet on sports but I played poker my entire life and this was just before the boom, so I was ok. Anyhow, I am constantly impressed by your analysis when put to the test and your reads, breakdowns, but more then anything, the most important thing in poker, risk/reward analysis. Its not always about the right read, but is it worth raking the risk to be right . Had to Monday morning Quarterback a little, lol, (come on Kev you are supposed to play perfect every hand for ever! 😂) I did cringe every step of the way on the AJ of Hearts hand, but I really jaw on the floored on the river! A rivered top pair not even top kicker with a spread board, sooo many two pairs, so many sets, str8's and got bailed out with the horrible 3k into 18k bet! There is no "raise for value" on that river...it's just literally not a thing...on what...A8, A2, the QJ I guess...but an easy nice pot, or easy get away from any tough decision! Anyway I have loved you since BB days, then my other fav thing Poker, which simple math dictates that = You are my favorite human... or at least top 100. Keep it up we are all behind you!!!

    HI, thanks for the great content just love all the vlogs at WSOP , Great play so far ,I must say I think the big difference why your in a positive profit value is you are willing to go down to very low BB ,Whereby plenty of other players are not willing to go less then 10BB sometimes
    That 3 bet to 3/4bet wow, I bet that guy had KJ or at least 2 pair, don't feel bad I think it was a good laydown, and even if you lost a big pot there, see it as bet for info

    Funny that T2 is called the Doyle Brunson, I'd call it either 'terminator' or 'in the drivers seat.' In all fairness, that hand sucks other than nobody expecting it (Hellmuth would freak out if it beat him.) I wonder if any of my hand names are popular: K2 'a mountain of a hand' or K9 'a real dog of a hand.'

I get that maybe hes going small for thin value sometimes, but surely him raising shouldnt be SHOCKING

    how many people are at one table if theres UTG+7? so that’s 8 people already and I’m assuming youre calling hijack and lojack utg+x for some reason? so then cut off, button, small blind, big blind? 12 handed?
    I havent played a live tournament before so maybe there’s something im missing but its kinda funny to me theres like 3 different ways to call the positions
    I don’t really play live tournaments.
