This series must be kept going and the franchises to follow up should be:
Donkey Kong: the biggest character after Mario and Link, and one whom actually had his own G&W games back in the 80's.
Pokémon: the franchisme made for the handhelds, just think what they could come up with for the clock function.
Kirby: the one character who was born for handhelds and the one who could rival with DK regarding popularity.
These make such awesome collectors items, and this one seems like an improvement from the Mario Bros one already. Give us a DK and a Metroid one next please!
OMG! DK nes 1, DK nes 2, DK 94.... Oh yeah and donkey kong game and watch.....But they will screw it up somehow. lol.
@@rezterralico4369 I think they did a decent job with the Mario one and this one looks cool, I think they would do a good job.
A kirby one too
Am i the only one who legitimately got very happy when this was announced? i wasn't expecting Link's Awakening to be on there too
I flipped out over it personally. Especially because Link's Awakening was a childhood fav'. Zelda 1&2 are cool too.
I don't need it...

Game and Watch: Kirby's Adventure
I think the Game & Watch might be coming back completely soon. Nintendo has an entire section of their U.S. support website dedicated to Game & Watch now.
PLEASE MAKE A POKEMON RED BLUE and YELLOW game and watch i'd sleep with that thing.
Why would you want a red, blue, and yellow one? They're all essentially the same game. Yellow, Crystal, and a spinoff game (like pinball or something) would make way more sense.
Fun fact: The Game Boy version of Tetris was the first game played in space.
And that has what to do with Game & Watch or Zelda games?
@@xeokym223 it has the word game in it
This was a very fun fact
Thank you once again The Fact Man! people may ignore and talk down on your work, but i'll appreciate every single fact
@@apersonontheinternet7607 💪
And here lie all my hopes of having either TP, OoT, WW, or MM for switch
when i first saw this trailer i was not expecting this. they are now defnitly coming out with a kirby game and watch 35th
I'm looking forward to getting that Zelda Game & Watch
Does this mean we'll get a Kirby Game & Watch next year with Dreamland 1, 2, Adventure, and Chef?
Oh God I would love that. Chef Kirby lol.
Chef with Kirby is too much of a good combination. Make it happen Nintendo!
@@TreadTheDonutDuck This!
Why stop there, lets get metroid, pokemon, and punchout.
Imagine if it used the sprite from Smash Bros when Kirby inhales Mr Game & Watch and uses neutral B! That would be perfect!
Cries over the fact that we aren’t getting a 3D all stars for Zelda’s anniversary T_T
@JOAO DAVI SANTANA DE CASTRO I guess their is still a possibility, it’s just kinda extremely low at this point.
@@Youraveragecartoonfan they confimed that we won't be getting any more anniverrsary stuff
@@nicholaskroeplin81 yea I’m pretty sure sure the said “we won’t be doing anymore campaigns or games this year” or something like that.
That doesn’t mean it won’t ever happen. We might get individual ports in 2022. Or maybe even later with the switch pro(if that ever comes). We’ll just have to wait and see I guess.
@@Youraveragecartoonfan doug bowser said that a switch pro won't happen in a inteview
Nintendo, please make a Metroid Game & Watch. Would love to have the classic game
Maybe include "Octopus" as it's Game & Watch game, and replace the diver with Samus.
It probably wouldn’t have Super Metroid, likely just 1, 2 and some Game & Watch game with Samus in it. But eh, it’d still be nice and on par with the Mario one. I like that this Zelda version has 4 games tho
That's the 35th Anniversary bundle you wanted. Enjoy.
That actually was the thing i wanted.
The Legend of Zelda’s 35th Anniversary so far:
- The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD
- Game & Watch: The Legend of Zelda
- Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity DLC Announcement
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Sequel Announcement
- New Loftwing and Zelda Amiibo
This makes the mario version look almost disappointing.
I still like mine personally. I will admit "Vermin" is more fun then "Ball."
I actually liked the Mario one. But this one might be better probably because of ball and a game boy game.
Honestly, this is better then the Mario version due to the fact that Link's Awakening is a great game from the time, and actually piqued my interest in this one unlike the other one.
Yeah the down side to the Mario game & watch was it didn’t have Mario 3 and I’m guessing Nintendo thought 2 8-bit games from the 80s harden difficulty wouldn’t be fun
@@pleasecallmedaviddjs1298 not even super mario land, that just feels unfair tbh
@@Spiffyo They did us dirty with that one
@@Spiffyo and it’s a good thing to put links’s awakening because it’s one the fun Zelda games same as Mario 3
@@pleasecallmedaviddjs1298 I dunno I still enjoyed SMB and SMBLost Levels too personally. I even liked the ball game.
Please make a Donkey Kong Game & Watch for his 40th!

Best Buy is showing preorders available. I got one preordered today. Was surprised it hasn't sold out already. Unless Nintendo plans on making a ton of these. Just in case they do run out, get your preorder before it's too late!
How much it cost i cant order it yet in my country
@@hollow7608 $50 usd
@@KillSchwill ok thankyou
Please make a kirby one
I just realised something and need to ask: How does "Vermin" fit into the Zelda-Timeline?
It go's after breath of the wild 1&2
It’s a sequel to A Link to the Past. He got a hammer in that game and whacked moles with it.
in the middle of link to the past he helps out somebody with their lawn for 5 minutes
“Ball” didn’t fit with Mario but nobody cared
@Dragonballfan976 idk how me talking about Mario makes me a nerd but you do you I guess lol
I'm disappointed this didn't include the actual Zelda Game & Watch somehow. I would've even settled for the GBA version of it.
Didn't people criticise the Mario Game and Watch for not having the original Super Mario Bros Game and Watch game on it?
@@allthelonely4287 I think both were excluded, because neither of those G&Wes were released in Japan. I'd say "Vermin" is more fun though.
@@beauwalker9820I did not know that, although an argument could be made that these new Game and Watches could be a good way to introduce those games to Japan.
Its almost like they actually listened to criticism of the mario game and watch and delivered something good. Im in.
I am so getting my hands on one of these.
@Damien Cl What problem?
@Damien Cl That kind of is a good point.
imagine casually getting through the dark-souls-level of difficulty that is Zelda II on this handheld device
Nah man. Dark Souls is easier than Zelda 2. By a fair margin.
@@noahfessenden6478 i don't disagree
Eh not to brag, but having grown up with the game I can breeze through Zelda 2 easily now. (I think it's easier then Megaman & Castlevania 3) I can beat Lost Levels on the Mario G&W so I can probably handle it.
@@beauwalker9820 Nah man, brag away. You should be proud of that.
I wish they used Link's Awakening DX but this is still really cool.
At first I was miffed but I have a soft spot for the green screen. They should have at least given the option to have both though.
@@TBrizzle01 Agreed. Especially using such a high quality screen. There was no reason to use the worse, lesser known version.
I wish they added minish cap but I’m still hyped for this
There may be some secret codes in this like the mario g&m
Oh that’s cool,
Nintendo! You remembered the 35th anniversary!
Me:...patiently waits for a pokemon game and watch
I think Kirby should be next
Notice how there's no "Limited time" restriction on this thing.
And we're still waiting on
that Switch Zelda Edition.
It will come with botw 2
This proves that the limited time thing was just a one-off thing!
Why did I need to scroll all the way down to here to find someone bringing this up
@@litessbu It's strange you know people seem to complain about Nintendo doing things wrong, but never when they fix it or do something right. Anyway, thanks for noticing my comment!
“one-off”
3D All Stars, Mario 35, Mario G&W, Fire Emblem…
@@Melonposting I meant the entire year was a one-off!
Ah yes, I was planning to play Link's Awakening. But now I can.
Nintendo: “our E3 presentation will be focused exclusively on software.”
Also Nintendo:
What’s so bad about it?
@@christopher32074 Nothing, I think this is actually pretty cool. Arguably more-so than the SMB one because it shows that the whole Game & Watch line is back to some extent, and the Mario one probably wasn’t a one-off thing. It’s just funny to me, because people interpreted that quote to mean there wouldn’t be hardware. I mean, this is a novelty thing with fully original software on it, so the focus is still on software. I just find it ironic since so many fans were saying “tHeRe’S nOt GoNnA bE hArDwArE aT e3!!!1!11” to dispel Switch Pro rumors. Which was correct, but their reasoning was wrong.
This is actually one of the highlights of this Nintendo direct.
Honestly, I'm excited for it, I never played the OG Link's Awakening (I only played DX and Switch version), so I'm genuinely happy to get this one!
@@xxglitchygamesxx1038 its already sold out lol, I have the super mario bros one, im definitely getting this one.
Cool, but I don’t understand why they went with monochrome for Link’s Awakening instead of color
I'm fine as that was the version I grew up with. The color version is already on 3DS.
I really like this actually. Its something different than just putting 3 games together.
Hey at least this Game & Watch isn't a limited production, so I guess Nintendo learned their lesson.
I want one of these for Donkey Kong too!
This is the most hype thing from this direct for me.
@Damien Cl yeah it’s either this or LiS for switch. It would have been Botw2 if it hadn’t been announced 2 years ago. Also this game & watch is really cool.
Well as long as Link's Awakening can be played in the dark, it's worth a buy.
You can buy it for $5.99 on Eshop. Lol 🤷🏼♂️
@@gwngeschiedenis8558 He's talking about the 3DS Eshop
I didn't get the Mario one since I can play Super Mario Bros on nearly anything, but I might get this Zelda one.
I think the Mario Game and Watch was better then the previous Virtual Console releases. The colors and brightness were better and clearer too.
@@beauwalker9820 plus pretty easily hackable, its my go to my gameboy emulation now
They're probably gonna do pokemon or kirby next.
I have the Mario one, so I'm definitely buying this.
i hope they do kirby next 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Ordered. This was my PlayStation when I was 12. Still have Oil Panic and fire attack.
I'm too young for Game & Watch, but I loved the Gameboy remakes in the "Game & Watch Gallery" series. Kinda wish I had a real one, but used ones are so expensive now.
