Might I add? If you don't want to sand and repaint your bed-frame, you can always lovingly arrange a throw-blanket with a spooky graphic/design over it!
my room is basically a goth valentines day. red, pink, and black plus a bunch of hearts and flowers everywhere. managing to get stuff with biologically accurate hearts to go with the cutesy love hearts on it is such a pain though so i had to hand make that stuff lol
My room is inspired by haunted forests and fae circles lol.
But also I love vintage teddy bears and carousel horses so trying to incorporate all these things together has been an absolute treat

This was my dilemma, too I wanted a trippy room filled with plants. But also a grunge and alt feel. I ended up just saying fu*k it and getting anything I liked. And now I have a beautiful mix of both :) the best part is most things aren’t permanent you can change them as you tastes evolve!!!

Dark brown wood looks fantastic too. Ive personally gone for dark brown antiques with brass hardware, red velvet upholstery on my chairs (want red curtains as well) and gold mirrors and an intricate but lighter rug. The walls are still white but i want to make it either petrol or dark red. Not sure what to go for yet
Agreed. I think it's worth following a theme for any colors you add though. (Such as trying to stick with only cool toned or warm toned colors.)

I have a black bunk bed and use the top for decoration! I hang lights, but plushies, and store some blankets on the top :D it’s pretty cool!
You can even look at antique stores too.
Maybe even garage sales.
Maybe even estate sales.
Maybe even farm sales.
Ranch sales.
Maybe even find some cool items for free the people are hitting by the dumpsters the trash cans.
For things that they set out by the curb for free.
You can even ask your friends or coworkers cool vintage items evil items or Gothic items they don't want anymore.

Giiiirrrllll i’m a new subscriber now cause I actually appreciate how genuine and real you were this entire video!!! A lot of youtubers don’t show what they do with their extra stuff and honestly this gave me so much more peace of mind knowing that it’s ok to put stuff under my bed (lol my mom used to say only messy people do that but in reality my apartment just doesn’t have the space!) I’m also glad you mentioned that it’s ok to have pops of color my room rn is a little more y2k and it’s just not me I love hello kitty sm but (the way my room looks rn) it’s just way wayyyy too kid like and I want more of my style/ vintage touch instead of all these 5 below decorations ahhh it’s just so hard 😭 but i love your advice this truly made thins so so much easier haha that sounds silly but sometimes i need people to break things down (bed, wall decor, trinkets, furniture) because i always overwhelm myself with the bigger picture! I have a brass candelabra in my bathroom now,i leave LED candles on 24/7 in there in the candelabra after i used them in a content shoot for halloween and i love it.i dont need to use my over-mirror light and it looks beautiful while they flicker

You can use dark colors, i would just use a glossy paint so it use the lightening to help the small space feel

Okay, so I know in my profile pic I don’t look very spooky! But I am a self declared spooky bitch! I love all things spooky, and vintage. Therefore my bedroom has some pretty spooky elements! And let me give you a little secret, I found the most BEAUTIFUL and spooky throw pillows at Ross this Halloween. They are black and white beaded spiderwebs with beaded spiders! They are amazing! If you are a spooky person I would suggest trying to find decor around Halloween, or right after Halloween so you can get the best sales! Also start shopping early because that way you can scout out the good stuff before others who only put it out once a year find it!😂 and I would say stores like Ross, home goods, TJ-Maxx, or target are the best places to find that stuff for cheap. Walmart is good for spooky lighting, candles, and ofc spiderwebs! Also, if you’re looking for cheap frames year round, Dollar Tree has REALLY cheap quality frames!! Good luck! Also don’t forget the spooky cheap candles at TJ-Maxx and Ross!!🖤 sorry that was long! But no Gatekeeping!🖤

I’ve been trying to make my room more gothic, I’ve got green blue walls tho and I’m not allowed to paint them. So I’ve been putting up metal/stranger things posters and my paintings which tend to be dark. However none of those things are particularly goth and as I have ten cents to my name, I want to do this revamping thing as cheaply as possible!

Obviously I have no idea how much ur safety deposit was, but I rent too and decided fu*ck it. I’ve been in this bedroom for 13 years it’s MINE LOL. Having a space that feels like me was totally worth the couple hundred bucks!!
You can also use mount tape for most things, it will hold up a picture frame ☺️ and is renter friendly

How can I make my walls look my gothic style without painting my walls I live in an apt and we're not allow to paint the walls in here and the walls here are them brownish wood paneling type .
Use command hooks and hang dark curtains/fabric from them to cover the walls.
