How would change up the list??? An interesting detail is that a couple great modern players are on the verge of cracking the list. If Russell Westrbrook plays with another team after Denver, he’s eligible. Chris Paul becomes eligible the instant he plays his first game in San Antonio. Both guys would easily be in my Top 10.
Just want to say that rondo isnt the only player to win a chip with the lakers and celtics. Clyde lovellette (although nobody likes him for obvious reasons) also did it.
Awesome video and list, Jonny! I remember learning about Adrian Dantley from your videos, and it was great to see him on this list and learn more about him. I also appreciate the inclusion of Chandler. I remember when he was on the 2012 USA Olympics team too. I agree with you that he was a superb defender and rebounder. Great to see McAdoo too. I hardly hear about him these days but it's great to see appreciation for him and his greatness too. I agree with putting Moses Malone at #1. He was an amazing center. It too surprised me when I learned about how many teams he was on, given how great he was. Definitely one of the greatest centers of all time. Great video again and Happy Friday, Jonny! Have a nice weekend 😊!
Wow! Unbelievable topic, incredible list. You outdid yourself with this one. Awesome work. Mark my words, an NBA organization or NBA related show is going to recognize your work & talk $$$'s to you. Very original & very interesting list. Keep up the great work.
I would have prioritized guys like Trevor Ariza, Sam Cassell, Jeff Green and Vernon Maxwell for this list. I know they aren't the same caliber of players but I don't classify a soneone as a journeyman when they have teams everyone associates them with (Billups with Detroit, Carter with Toronto, McAdoo with Buffalo etc).
Video idea johnny: which MVP’s have the fewest all-star appearances? Bob McAcdoo (5x all star) got me thinking this. Also idea, which MVP were the WORST on defence.
Make a top 10 recruiter of all time. Top 10 draft class Top 10 defensive player in the finals. Top 10 most impactful player that popularize NBA more. Top 10 most underrated in each position of all time. Top 10 player in each position of all time Top 10 performance in a playoff series or finals of all time Top 10 greatest season of a player of all time. Top 10 all around player of all time
Hey Jonny! Great vid as always. I’m curious , shaq barely missed the cutoff with 6 teams. If the criteria for your list were 6 teams, would shaq be number 1 on the list? If not who would. Thanks!
I was expecting a completely different list! But I love this one! Can you make a list of the best journey men that never made an all star or all nba????
Soon as I saw this video pop up, I knew a whole lotta New Orleans (then) Hornets/(now) Pelicans would be on this list. Everybody makes a stop on my team.
Great video as always! Jamal Crawford needs to over he played for 9 different teams he played well enough for 6 of those 9 even tho the half the teams overall were pretty bad he was still a good player on those teams and won 6th man of the year for 2 different teams
Jonny can you do video segment called the breakdown. Where you discuss every juke every hand position. The hows of reading the defense and how.the player reacted. I think it will show how good of a passer mike was and how jordan gets to his spots . Or how larry dominates without being athletic. And maybe do a video of how hustle, heart ang being fearless and never giving up is a big factor in winning
Idea for a video: Critique every all-NBA selection, and if you went back before the late 80’s, you could pick what a third team all-NBA would have looked like for you. Could be a video series with a half decade per video.
Bob McAdoo is never thought of as a journeyman, considering he was with seven teams in 14 years. It's probably because of his resume that this is the case. I mean, you don't see many journeymen who averaged 22 points and nine rebounds a game for their career. McAdoo was a great center in the time of great centers. And after he dominated the league in Buffalo, he bounced around before finally winning two championship rings with the Lakers.
The only one I would take off the list is Vince, only because he didn't win a ring, but in his place the choice would be between Maxwell, Cassell and below them Ariza and Jeff Green.
Hello Jonny, greetings from France, I'm following you since a long time now, and for once I don't agree with your list. And here's why. As far as I remember, when I think journeymen, I think of role players that are unable to settle in few teams despite they can be a great addition to the teams they play for. Jeff Green seems to be the perfect example in modern times. Due to that, I have hard time to consider players that were stars to be great journeymen, even if they were playing for a lot of different teams. But beside that, you still make a great work.
Just want to say that rondo isnt the only player to win a chip with the lakers and celtics. Clyde lovellette (although nobody likes him for obvious reasons) also did it.
Sumpfin makes me wanna put Jermaine O'Neal, Terry Cummings, Otis Thorpe & Jamal Crawford on this list but, I have no problem with it tha way it is....✌🏽😐❤️🏀
I mean, it’s just the minimum requirement I set for my own video, but by no means am I the authority figure on such a thing. If someone wanted to say a journeymen is a minimum of 3 teams, then that’s just a valid, and the whole list changes dramatically.
just as a left field pick, I will highlight JaVale McGee. While he is the butt of Shaq jokes, he generally added decent productivity in the limited minutes he was given and has played for many, many teams.. Kevin Willis was magnificent! Really great player who played with energy. He was strong and athletic, even in his latter years which he was pushing 40
8:19 As you may remember, Melo was the best player but Chauncey Billups is the one who brought the intangibles that previous Nuggets teams didn't have as a leader.
I would say Chris Paul definitely deserves a spot here and I’m not really sure why he isn’t here. Maybe because he technically hasn’t played on 7 teams yet, but if he plays a single game with the spurs in this upcoming season he will and I feel he deserves an exception to be made for him
4:20 - Just going to have to say it: Adrian Dantley scored a lot of points, but just like Melo he was an iso-hog and the points were empty. He did not make any team better, in fact you could argue he made them worse. The Pistons, Lakers, Jazz, never made it over the "hump" until they got rid of him. Dantley was great at getting to the free-throw line but that's about it.
I feel that the “journeyman” title has a bit of a negative connotation overall. I think it’s more like you’ve been around a long time, jumping from team to team, and have been impactful and effective on basically every team you’ve gone to, but you’re only a borderline All-Star, not Hall of Famers. I feel players like Jamal Crawford or Lou Williams fit the journeyman moniker better
I used to think of it as 5+ teams, but nowadays EVERYONE is a journeyman and by choice, so that would increase the field. I used to think of journeymen as scrubs like Chucky Brown
When I read this comment, I genuinely had to go back and check to see if that's what I said, because I knew that was wrong.... Sure as heck, that's exactly what I said. Lmao. My bad, I just misspoke and I'm honestly not sure why.... He only played a tiny bit of his career at PF, but he was a Center 90% of the time.
I'd get Vince off the list. Only positive impact he ever had was on the Raptors. Every other team he joined got worse with him. 1. Nets were in back to back finals before Vince. Couldnt get out of the 2nd round with him 2. Magic went to a finals before Vince, topped out at ECF with him 3. Mavs won the chip before Vince, did nothing with him 4. Suns were a 60 win team and contender before Vince, missed playoffs with him 5. Grit n Grind Grizzlies were a perennial dark horse contender before Vince, fell into obscurity with him Then by the time he was a King/Hawk he was just a depth player anyways
Moses would definitely be more well received if he didn’t play for so many teams. I think that since a single team can’t claim him as their own it hurts the overall viewpoint on him
I think lack of total rings is the mote limiting factor (at least in mainstream perception). If he started for 3 or 4 championship teams, no one would care if he bounced around the league.

JONNY how could you not have the goat Ish Smith this was the perfect video for Ish Smith Content we were so close come on
Just want to say that rondo isnt the only player to win a chip with the lakers and celtics. Clyde lovellette (although nobody likes him for obvious reasons) also did it.
@@sammywestside9582 Jonny specified the LA Lakers, not Minneapolis.
Since i didn't remember Moses going everywhere, i thought after the second place Mcadoo that now only Nate Robinson must be left.
dantley gotta be higher than vince carter forsure
Jonny is so underrated! Man should easily have a million subs. Appreciate you informing "younger" fans like myself.
He would if he did clickbaity or confrontational/hater content but the man has too much self respect and genuine knowledge for that thankfully.
He has a great channel. You guys ever check out Andy Hoops? Both great channels!
@@meh7348I hate when they do that especially pertaining to Basketball
I have wondered myself why Jonny doesn't have a million subs, his content is top notch
Bcs he an old head who hates the modern game
Moses, Bob Macado, and Adrien Dantley. Those guys all need a hell of a lot more respect put on their names. Love this video.
Especially Malone
The chairman of boards
@@olajawanmagee768If u follow Jonny he shows Moses LOTS OF LOVE
Aye perfect timing Jonny, just went on lunch break 🐐
Same on my lunch break at chipotle
Excellent topic and list. Appreciate the originality, old/new school mix
thanks for giving Mark Jackson some love. Great fun to watch him play
Awesome video and list, Jonny! I remember learning about Adrian Dantley from your videos, and it was great to see him on this list and learn more about him.

Haven't finished the video, but the first name to come to my mind was Moses Malone.
No joke, he said greatest journeyman, and I just said "Moses" to myself and waited.
I'm loving these unique ranking videos.Keep 'em coming❤
Wow! Unbelievable topic, incredible list. You outdid yourself with this one. Awesome work. Mark my words, an NBA organization or NBA related show is going to recognize your work & talk $$$'s to you. Very original & very interesting list. Keep up the great work.
This list made me smile. Thanks.
Great idea for a vid. Gonna make a 2k team with this journeymen roster.
Hi jonny love ur work! I think it would be nice if u did a top 10 scorers of all time
I would have prioritized guys like Trevor Ariza, Sam Cassell, Jeff Green and Vernon Maxwell for this list. I know they aren't the same caliber of players but I don't classify a soneone as a journeyman when they have teams everyone associates them with (Billups with Detroit, Carter with Toronto, McAdoo with Buffalo etc).
That's what I was thinking, most of these guys aren't recognized as journeymen.
This comment is on point. Especially players that were considered at the top of there position at one time in the league.
Great consistency lately man ❤❤
Love this video idea. I would put jamal crawford at the very next spot.
Dantley is my favorite one. One of my 5 favorite players to watch along with Isiah, Aguirre, Clyde, and Dominique.
Great list
I’d add Grant Hill but solid list
Commenting to help push Jonny Arnett to 200k subs 🎉
6:59 Clyde Lovellette also won rings for the Lakers (while they were in Minneapolis) and Celtics in the 50s and 60s.
Great video nonetheless, Jonny!
That's what I was thinking, but I understand forgetting since Clyde didn't do much on those Celtics teams
Great video!!!
Video idea johnny: which MVP’s have the fewest all-star appearances? Bob McAcdoo (5x all star) got me thinking this.

Defense? Probably Steve nash off the top of my head

I see Jonny, I click. Hard to believe I've been following you for at least a few years now.
Side note: I think LeBron should be on the list🤣
I haven't watched the video yet but you're getting a thumbs up just for the concept.
It is nonsense that Johnny doesn't have a million subs. He is the best basketball debater on TH-cam by far
I've been following this channel for a couple of years I think. Jonny is darn underrated and deserves more subs. Keep it up my guy!
Hey Jonny! Great vid as always.
I’m curious , shaq barely missed the cutoff with 6 teams. If the criteria for your list were 6 teams, would shaq be number 1 on the list? If not who would. Thanks!
Yes, Shaq would be number 1, and Moses Malone would be Number 2. Chris Paul and Russell Westbrook would enter the Top 10 as well in that scenario.
@@jonnyarnett thanks for the response! You’re awesome
This will be helpful for Immaculate Grid
hey brother jonny i was wondering if you can make a video about rule changes you would personally change for the nba keep up the good work.
I was expecting a completely different list! But I love this one! Can you make a list of the best journey men that never made an all star or all nba????

❤another GREAT 👍🏼 👌🏼 👏🏼 video 📹 by Arnett ❤
Chris Paul? He played for at least 7 NBA Teams and is definitively better than a lot of players on this list.
Good one
you pick some of the most intriguing topics
Great video as always! Jamal Crawford needs to over he played for 9 different teams he played well enough for 6 of those 9 even tho the half the teams overall were pretty bad he was still a good player on those teams and won 6th man of the year for 2 different teams
Happy Friday!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
The thumbnail is hilarious
Matt Barnes, Stephen Jackson, Trevor Ariza, Jamal Crawford, Chris Paul, Shaun Livingston
Nba has existed before the past 20 years ya know
Barnes doesn't belong in that group, he was a bum
It's better to be respected by few then to be liked by all, appreciate you staying true yourself
Dantley also had the highest total points for the decade of the 80’s if I’m not mistaken.
My guess is Moses Malone at 1. Gotta be.

Robert Horry, Dennis Rodman, Lebron James, Shaq, Jason Kidd,
Can't believe Rondo is not in the HOF. Winning for both the Lakers and the Celtics is almost reason enough.
He didn’t officially retire until this April. He could’ve been the best player ever, he’d still have to wait 4 years to become eligible for the HOF
Idea for a video: Critique every all-NBA selection, and if you went back before the late 80’s, you could pick what a third team all-NBA would have looked like for you.
Could be a video series with a half decade per video.
Shout out to Goran Dragic. One of my favorite Heat players of all time.

Bob McAdoo is never thought of as a journeyman, considering he was with seven teams in 14 years.

Joe Johnson is so underrated and one of my favorite players of all time
Big Shot Bob gotta be number 1!
*Criteria immediately eliminated Horry lol
Moses malone is so underrated, every time I hear and read about him I'm impressed
Hello Jonny, greetings from France, I'm following you since a long time now, and for once I don't agree with your list. And here's why.

5:14 Vince Carter was also a very underrated passer.
I was knida surprised to NOT see Jamal Crowfrod in the Top 10. He had tremendous impact a Sixth Man on numerous teams.
Crazy topic: A history on every teams first ever 3 point shot
As a CT native I was really hoping to see Marcus Camby on the list
Just want to say that rondo isnt the only player to win a chip with the lakers and celtics. Clyde lovellette (although nobody likes him for obvious reasons) also did it.
Sumpfin makes me wanna put Jermaine O'Neal, Terry Cummings, Otis Thorpe & Jamal Crawford on this list but, I have no problem with it tha way it is....✌🏽😐❤️🏀
I know it isn't enough teams yet but I would say Lebron or Moses Malone are the greatest Journeyman
I mean, it’s just the minimum requirement I set for my own video, but by no means am I the authority figure on such a thing. If someone wanted to say a journeymen is a minimum of 3 teams, then that’s just a valid, and the whole list changes dramatically.

Reminds me of Edwin Jackson playing for 14 different baseball teams, including 3 other return stints
I was gonna say shaq, but he played for 6 teams lol
Day 2 of asking Jonny for a Top 10 most competitive players ever
Just wanna help the video
before i watch the video moses malone has to be number one
I'm starting the video right now not knowing the ranking. I try to guess number one: Moses Malone.
🏀
May as well add CP3 to this list because this season will make the 7th team he’s played for (NOLA, LAC, HOU, OKC, PHO, GSW, SAS)
*GARY DWAYNE PAYTON II*
Eligible for Honorable Mentions 🤯
8:19 As you may remember, Melo was the best player but Chauncey Billups is the one who brought the intangibles that previous Nuggets teams didn't have as a leader.

Somewhere, Jeff Green is watching and wondering how he could possibly get snubbed for this list
I guess Chris Paul hasn't officially played for his 7th team yet, but he's gotta be up there
Yeah, as soon as he plays his first game in San Antonio, he's eligible. I think he would go in my 3rd spot.
@jonnyarnett for sure. Thanks for the response bro you're phenomenal at what you do. I hope you never stop, lol
Thanks man! I have no plans to. lol
ISO Joe yessir
I was surprises shaq wasn't on the list or honorable mention, but he only got 6 teams (and he appeared in the video)
11:11 No I think you got this list right.
The one clear overlook player on your list. Still playing Chris Paul and I think russell westbrook is gotta be close to 6 teams
Pinned comment explains it
@jonnyarnett does your list mean six teams, or they gotta be on their seventh team?
Peak for peak Cousins has to be on this list
I've never heard Tyson Chandler be referred to as a PF before
When I read this comment, I genuinely had to go back and check to see if that's what I said, because I knew that was wrong.... Sure as heck, that's exactly what I said. Lmao. My bad, I just misspoke and I'm honestly not sure why.... He only played a tiny bit of his career at PF, but he was a Center 90% of the time.
@jonnyarnett Haha no sweat! Made me go look and see if he was drafted as a PF or something. Great video btw, unique ranking
He was drafted by the Bulls and he played PF next to Eddy Curry at Center.
@MasterSpade True, and I appreciate the info, but that was like a fraction of his career. I'm still taking the L on this one. lol
I was gonna comment the same thing.
Could you make a team up with just the best dunkers it has to be a real team like PG SG SF PF C may be even a 3 pt shooter team too
i was hoping chris paul would be on here, but the spurs makes his 7th team and he hasnt technically played for them yet
I'd get Vince off the list. Only positive impact he ever had was on the Raptors. Every other team he joined got worse with him.
1. Nets were in back to back finals before Vince. Couldnt get out of the 2nd round with him
2. Magic went to a finals before Vince, topped out at ECF with him

4. Suns were a 60 win team and contender before Vince, missed playoffs with him
5. Grit n Grind Grizzlies were a perennial dark horse contender before Vince, fell into obscurity with him
Then by the time he was a King/Hawk he was just a depth player anyways
I would put Jim Jackson on the honorable mention
What about Jamal Crawford and Lou Williams?
Had to be moses
Moses would definitely be more well received if he didn’t play for so many teams. I think that since a single team can’t claim him as their own it hurts the overall viewpoint on him
I think lack of total rings is the mote limiting factor (at least in mainstream perception). If he started for 3 or 4 championship teams, no one would care if he bounced around the league.
I love Rajon rondo
CP3 will crack the top 5 once he retire😊
