for people looking forward to getting pets, please adopt and don't shop. you can look out for fosters and rescue shelters. pet market is not always the best place for such animals as there are some breeders who ill-treat these innocent animals and breed them just for money while ignoring the health of the animals. I think it's fine to get a pet that is from a different breed and not available easily as long as the breeder you're getting it from is genuine. just be aware and research enough about the breeder you're buying from to make sure they are not mistreating the pets and are taking care of them.
