Ha! You should see my couch! I. Watching this while slurping my coffee. I stopped/ started, stopped/started, following you and making samples of everything you made. I think I loved the most….weaving twine, embroidering,and the little slip knots on the edge of the card. I love them all. YOU are magnificent!!!
VIP,,, I just found out that if you iron the newspaper first it will set the inks and dyes and you won’t get it all over you. Just protect iron and ironing board to be on the safe side. My friend actually said, That’s why butler’s always ironed the newspaper before the man of the house read it…. Interesting tidbit of info
Excellent idea!! I was wondering about that. I also want to try lightly spraying the newspaper with varnish. It will also protect the ink and give the paper a crinkly feeling. This is one thing that I love, love, love, about rhis channel in particular, and we crafters share amazing tips and tricks based on Natasha's videos!!
What amazes me more than your creativity sometimes is your ability to reproduce a brilliant idea and tweak it to a whole new idea, again and again. We all have good ideas once in a while, but to work out an idea to a system, reproduce it, evolve it- and the consistency of you showing up with more, and more, and yet more... I'm in awe.

I love this idea so much! I’m kind of like you, I don’t like really touching newspaper, plus it gets that black ink on my fingers! So what popped into my mind is using the paper that newspapers are made of. Without investigating further, I decided to use the paper that is used for packing delicate items when you move. I have a bunch left over from my last move, which was 15 years ago!, You just never know when it’s going to be needed, right?! That’s what my sister told me anyway, maybe I’ll give her a special envelope! Thanks again for all the suggestions - - I love it!

I started making these "wallets" back in junior high/ high school to pass notes to my friends before everyone got cell phones. I folded it slightly differently but never thought to turn it into a book. Thanks for sharing! 😊
I love the origami wallet fold. I hadn't considered binding multiples together. I have used it by making one and stitching a small signature into the spine so I have a notebook w/ extra pockets. I also make a blizzard book and slide the first and last flaps into inner the pockets of a wallet fold so it becomes a book cover. Other thing I do is to make one, fill it with journal cards and tags, and stick it into a pocket in a handmade mini album. This thing so so versatile.

You’re doing a great job of the explaining about the washi tape addition. Sometimes I find it so hard to verbalize what my hands can do,,,, . And if we are all inspired to try it, that’s a win for all of us. I’m actually thinking of doing this origami folded wallet look with a double layer of fabric that’s been adhesived together. I have a boat load of fabrics that would be fun to use. Great tutorial and I’m only on the first idea ! ! ! 🥰

I haven't even watched the whole video I stopped at 1:58 its so mesmerizing. I have used catalogs and magazines to make booklets and journals; and magazine pages for envelopes (and actually mailed them). It's been a long time and you have reinspired me. Thank you! I intend to try that one very soon - I have soooooooooo much scrapbooking and cardmaking paper and I love stamping my own, as well, so I intend to mix and match any newspaper with other, pretty paper! Asking us to pick a 'favourite' is like asking a mother "which child is your favourite?" Even IF we had a favourite we would NEVER admit it nor would we ever tell. Another mind blowing project! Who knew newspapers could be a thing of beauty instead of a bearer of bad news! It would be great to use a foreign newspaper, maybe Japanese, for the base. It would look wonderful even if you didn't add all the embellishments. I've done that fold but in a far smaller size and used them in journal pockets so I know they can get bulky with regular paper. Using a newspaper is genius. I state again that I hope you leave your brain to science (you can even wait until you're dead to do so - IF you must!).
Sometimes the hardest part of creating is just getting started, but you always make me want to make something right damn now. It may not even be what you're making. While watching Natasa’s videos I compiled so many notes/prototypes that I decided to create a dedicated journal to put all those printed notes and samples into. If I ever have (when I retire) my own TH-cam channel, I’ll hire somebody from my family to produce dramatic intros like in Natasa’s. Video pieces of art - intriguing and lovely. An expanding pouch (38:29) and Wonky Envelopes (8:45) are two of my favorites. Thanks a lot for this as usually!
Newspaper is becoming nearly "extinct" nowadays, but what about using another nearly "extinct" product: old telephone books where there's much more fine print? You set me off again, Natasa, thanks for a brilliant video, as always.😊

What a wonderful introduction/presentation ! The sounds of the paper,the beauty of the charms,beads,threads,lace EVERYTHING. I haven't even watched the whole video I stopped at 1:58 its so mesmerizing. We all have stuff on our minds ,problems that need solving, issues that plague our thoughts but whenever I watch one of your videos. All those annoying thoughts go away & I am filled with joy & I get a real good feeling. Maybe this is sick but that me .Who would of thought I'd get so elated watching these beautiful cards/inserts being placed inside pockets????Now I'm going back to watching the rest of the wonderful video. Ironing the newspaper before crafting, sets the ink. Less of a mess
My favourites:
#1.Loved the simple 1 page embelished pouch.
#2. Concertina pouches glued together.
#3. Washi Tape using cellotape pressed down over printed paper and pulled back! 🎉
You really made my heart sing using all these creative methods, especially with the newspaper. I could watch you create for hours, but then I would not have time to go and create!. Thanks for all you bring to us!

I am so intrigued with this video! I love paper! I actually hate when I have to throw away some psper...bullrtins, news, catalogs! I have used catalogs and magazines to make booklets and journals; and magazine pages for envelopes (and actually mailed them). It's been a long time and you have reinspired me. Thank you! By the way, project #1 is my favorite, then 3, then 4, 2, 5!

I loved this video! I especially enjoyed the pocket book! I intend to try that one very soon - I have soooooooooo much scrapbooking and cardmaking paper and I love stamping my own, as well, so I intend to mix and match any newspaper with other, pretty paper! I am so glad I discovered your channel! You've inspired me more than most other channels so much! Asking us to pick a 'favourite' is like asking a mother "which child is your favourite?" Even IF we had a favourite we would NEVER admit it nor would we ever tell. I love newspaper but have only ever used it for collage. These origami inspirations open up a whole new world of possibilities. Fantastic work Natasha.

It would be great to use a foreign newspaper, maybe Japanese, for the base. It would look wonderful even if you didn't add all the embellishments. I've done that fold but in a far smaller size and used them in journal pockets so I know they can get bulky with regular paper. Using a newspaper is genius. I state again that I hope you leave your brain to science (you can even wait until you're dead to do so - IF you must!).
Sometimes the hardest part of creating is just getting started, but you always make me want to make something right damn now. It may not even be what you're making. You just have a way of giving my own creativity a kick in the pants. Thank you for that. And, for your intros. They're crazy fun to watch. ~ Lisa

While watching Natasa’s videos I compiled so many notes/prototypes that I decided to create a dedicated journal to put all those printed notes and samples into. If I ever have (when I retire) my own TH-cam channel, I’ll hire somebody from my family to produce dramatic intros like in Natasa’s. Video pieces of art - intriguing and lovely. An expanding pouch (38:29) and Wonky Envelopes (8:45) are two of my favorites. Thanks a lot for this as usually!

Newspaper is becoming nearly "extinct" nowadays, but what about using another nearly "extinct" product: old telephone books where there's much more fine print?
