Hello Sir! Great video and great insight for this profile. I qualified in 2017 and for some time I have been looking to switch my profile to IT Profile and I have always been proficient with computers always able to sole whatever issues I have had and also decent knowledge regarding both Software and Hardware side of the things. But since I have been qualified a long time and at this juncture I am trying to switch my profile which I couldn't do earlier due to some personal reasons, I have not been able to land any interviews. Sir I have attempts at every level from IPCC since I am very very poor at theory, in practical subjects i score marks for fun. This reality i got to know when I had my final attempt and wasn't able to recall anything of theory subjects 1 month before my attempt. Scored 94 in SFM, CLEARED MY G1 IN 2nd attempt with 67 in fr again which could have been easy 80+ if i didn't have to score 40+ in theory subjects. Now my main issue is my practical understanding of concepts is great but every where one thing is asked how many attempts. I don't know how to explain people that my attempts are not my fault or my weakness, instead they show i have some sort of strength. I really want to go for data analytics field along with application of entrepreneurship along with it. My G2 is still pending, 3 subject hopefully will clear it this time. But my main issue is how to get a job where I can prosper instead of struggling with clerical work, basically minting money for my clients or employer instead of being some compliance man.
Hi Sarthak First of all, Don't give up.. Keep going ahead... Life is full of all such events, this is just a beginning & CA is preparing you for all that.. Believe me, these reattempts make you stronger & employers know this... You will get a job despite your number of attempts & then you can prove yourself with your work... Second, Here's an advice for theory subjects that works for most.. Many of our fellow CA friends followed this & got through... Do theory subjects not all at once... Just give 1 hour in the morning to read through 1 subject & understand the concepts and then 1 hour in the night to the other subject... say Audit in morning & Law in the evening or vica versa... See how much time it takes you to cover an entire syllabus... Say it takes you a month to cover these subjects like this.. Next time, do it in 15 days & third time in 1 week... Don't do more than thrice.. Then once last on the final day only... Hope this will help you get through your subjects in your next attempts.. You don't have to show anyone anything for now and don't think about getting a job. Focus on clearing your exams first and then you will get many opportunities. This way, you will gain some experience, make some money, do some networking, meet like minded people & take it from there.. If you want to continue with job, later think about switching into the field that you love, be it data analytics or anything else.. Hello.. Why not if you are interested.. Technology should not be a limitation.. gather Business/ Process knowledge & learn new technology... Both Oracle & SAP are very big players so make up your mind if you want to grow as an Oracle or SAP consultant or better, a process consultant i.e. Business Analyst.. Keep in mind, learning new technology will be challenging initially as you have learnt Oracle in the last 3 years already but you will be starting afresh with SAP...

1. I think bonds are not binding, just that your joining bonus or some other amount may get deducted in case you plan to quit 2. If you like the company/profile/ salary, go for it if you have no other alternate offers at hand 3. if you start liking the work, co, profile etc, 2 years pass by quickly however if you dont like it, dont let the bond be a barrier to your carrier & growth.. I think you will join as a person with no relevant erp experience.. so maybe you get a job with same or 10-20% +/- .. Hive it a try if you want to.. also, try other jobs which might consider your experience but still allow you to change your stream like Business Consultant or a management consultant etc..

Ideally you should talk to them about onsite opportunities before accepting the job offer... some big 4's that are India based like KPMG or EY India, don't have any opportunities for going abroad whereas KPMG or EY global can offer chances of travelling short, mid or long term.. Second, Accenture is also consulting firm.. Companies like Samsung/ Oracle etc can send abroad if the team is located there.. Usually, consulting firms & Big 4's offer more travelling opportunities as compared to industries but some industries that have M&A divisions and alike also offer travelling opportunities... My recommendation would be to clear your expectations before joining.. Good Luck !

I thinks it’s perfectly ok to choose your career at 31.. give it a shot but be sure in a year or 2.. Erp consulting is good if you get your hands on good projects.. Good Luck !
Consider lot of other factors like what do you currently do, why do you want to switch, what are the opportunities you have at hand, how easily can you move back to the previous role if this doesn’t work etc and take an informed decision 👍🏻
Both are good, depends on lot of factors - which is your education background, your kill set, which region - Europe or US.. finance or SCM.. think of all of this and take an informed decision.. good luck !

It totally varies on your experience, location, skillset/ level etc.. If you are good, you can get good salaries and hikes .. some MNCs do allow wfh aswell..

Sir, I have done MBA in finance and work at a PSU bank. My current salary, including benefits and allowances, is about 16 lac. I'm thinking of switching careers, so tell me if I can get a job in the ERP field with my current work experience and if so, how much I should expect in terms of compensation-will it be higher or lower than my current salary?
I think you will join as a person with no relevant erp experience.. so maybe you get a job with same or 10-20% +/- .. Hive it a try if you want to.. also, try other jobs which might consider your experience but still allow you to change your stream like Business Consultant or a management consultant etc..

Hello.. Ideally you should talk to them about onsite opportunities before accepting the job offer... some big 4's that are India based like KPMG or EY India, don't have any opportunities for going abroad whereas KPMG or EY global can offer chances of travelling short, mid or long term..
Second, Accenture is also consulting firm.. Companies like Samsung/ Oracle etc can send abroad if the team is located there.. Usually, consulting firms & Big 4's offer more travelling opportunities as compared to industries but some industries that have M&A divisions and alike also offer travelling opportunities... My recommendation would be to clear your expectations before joining.. Good Luck !

Why not if you get right opportunity.. many of my colleagues did that when client was supportive..

I thinks it’s perfectly ok to choose your career at 31.. give it a shot but be sure in a year or 2.. Erp consulting is good if you get your hands on good projects.. Good Luck !

Consider lot of other factors like what do you currently do, why do you want to switch, what are the opportunities you have at hand, how easily can you move back to the previous role if this doesn’t work etc and take an informed decision 👍🏻

It totally varies on your experience, location, skillset/ level etc.. If you are good, you can get good salaries and hikes .. some MNCs do allow wfh aswell..

Are you ready to start from 0 or from scratch and leave the corporate culture and fixed monthly salary for a few initial years, then go for it.. plan for atleast 5 years to come to the point where you have reached.. also consider your family and other commitments..

Service agreements are not bound by law .. problem is ur salary and all could get deducted for any bond amounts.. clarify and choose accordingly.. Good Luck !

Does your company offer sap fico projects or trainings ? First, best is to check within your company
Also, you have so much of experience and it seems you donot know much about sap fico yet, then why do you want to do this course only ?
