Farmall H Fuel Tank Liner Conclusion (Thoughts and Opinions)

  • The conclusion of the fuel tank lining process. It was easy to do. It is somewhat time consuming however. You can't be in a hurry! I give my thoughts, comments and opinions about the process. Next time, I would probably make my own kit and save a few dollars. For a Farmall H, I found 1 quart of liner to be enough.
    Was it worth doing? Yes. By all means, do it. You can do it.

    Great tips on the materials. I had no idea they used simple, everyday items. I have always done it the way you prefer to do it, minus the phosphoric acid - but that is a GREAT idea!

      I use phosphoric acid in my shop for a variety of things. But, I make dang sure I get the "stuff" that does not have other types of acid in it. I often give rusty parts a long soak first to "convert" the rust.
      I also agree with you! This is an easy process. If anybody has rust in their tank, they should do this. It's not terribly expensive and it's well worth it to preserve the tank from rusting away.
