Episode 113: Put The Dáil On Strike

  • Ireland needs one thing right now: a landslide shift at the next election toward candidates who stand for Free Speech, Fair Borders, and Full Sovereignty. It is wise to think about what exactly we should do once we have a large pool of such candidates elected, but that question is actually not as urgent, and can even wait for when we are in the Dáil. Even if we did nothing for a few months while we figured it all out, that would be far better than what we are currently dealing with in the form of this rogue government at war with its own people and daily dropping more and more the pretence of representative democracy. Imagine if the Dáil went on strike and did nothing . . . wow, sounds good, right? Let’s do it.
    So, we must get a bunch of us elected who oppose the Hate Speech Bill, mass immigration, and the various attempts to offshore our sovereignty such as the WHO Pandemic Treaty and EU Migration Pact. How do we do this? Many voices are saying we must not “split the vote” and so must all unite into a single coaltion or super-party; however, I think this is not the best strategy and is based on a misunderstanding of the dynamics at play. Unless I am mistaken (please tell me in the comments if I am!) then actually the more candidates there are running who stand for Free Speech, Fair Borders and Full Sovereignty, the better it is. So long as we ensure the voters know who all such candidates in their constituency are, and so long as they list them all in their preferences, then the “splitting the vote” threat will not apply, and any eliminated good candidate will simply have their votes transferred to another good candidate - and the establishment candidates will gain nothing from it. And by doing this, we extend our reach to voters who may be triggered by some aspects of the various nationalist parties/candidates and would otherwise turn away from us and vote for some status quo candidate or no-one at all; but instead by flooding the system with various kinds of candidates with varying philosophies, personalities and backgrounds, we appeal to far more people and yet all this vast pool of candidates will be united on the core three issues, and so we will all be delighted for the present moment to have any of them elected.
    We need unity, but I do not think merging parties will help us; I believe our unity must be in the form of a voting coalition standing for Free Speech, Fair Borders, Full Sovereignty. We simply need some kind of a website directory which lists all parties and all candidates in every constituency who have signed on and sworn to defend these three policies, and then we need each candidate and party to constantly reminds their supporters to vote #1 for themselves but also vote #2, 3, 4, etc. to EVERYONE else on that list. Ireland thus has a fighting chance this election to achieve our glorious victory against this tide of injustice. We need only set aside our disagreements about the lesser issues, to the extent that we will tell our supporters, friends and family to vote for everyone on the list of patriots, no matter whether some of their beliefs jar with us. Because only such unity will save our way of life.
    I myself will be running in Dublin Bay North under the banner of my new political party, Gaelic Awakening, whose core policies are the three stated above. We need 300 members in order to officially register, so please go to www.gaelicawak... and become a member (for free). If we cannot be registered in time, I will be running as an Independent. Reach out to me at info@gaelicawakening.ie if you have questions or suggestions, and if at all possible please consider making a financial contribution via the website, or if my words resonate and you wish to get directly involved, I would be honoured to discuss your being a Gaelic Awakening candidate in your local constituency. The only qualifications are that you are honest, have common-sense, can communicate the need for our three core policies and you love Ireland and the Irish enough to work hard without fear of failure, gratefully.

      @@GeorgesDupont-do8pe Most likely yes it will come to leaving the EU (if the EU doesn't collapse first), which is unfortunate because it's a big task to persuade enough Irish people that this is wise. But actually the first step I advocate is organising and campaigning to reform the EU. If this is met with total resistance, then onto leaving. Like a toxic relationship, we can give them a chance to find their heart, but then we must be strong and leave if they are unwilling/unable to change.
      I think a single change of law would be enough to make the EU an institution worth staying in: namely, renegotiate our involvement such that Irish law overrules EU law whenever they come into conflict. Currently it's the opposite. If Irish law was supreme (isn't it obvious in our hearts that it should be?) then the EU could make whatever rules it wanted but we could just basically veto them for our own society. This would sacrifice the standardisation drive the EU so loves, in exchange for massively boosting the democratic nature of the EU, which has grown to be awfully technocratic, autocratic and beyond anything envisioned when Irish people first voted to enter a European trade network back in the 70s. And if Brussels knew we could overrule anything, they would be forced to actually talk to us and try to persuade us with logic and reason to get on board certain initiatives.
      If such a renegotiation could prove successful (say if the EU gets desperate as it starts to splinter) then Ireland could pave the way for other member nations to demand the same reform, and the whole EU could be redeemed into a force for good.
      But as I say, given the corporate control over the helm of the EU, it seems more likely that this first stage will simply serve to show Ireland and the world that we did our best to make this work, and that the other party were not who they were pretending to be. But whatever path we take, every nation has the right to govern itself and this includes joining or leaving any agreement with other nations or groups thereof.

      @@rendezvouswithjamiemcglue Good luck. I await with interest your progress, especially after what happened in the UK. It occurs to me this is a problem happening all over Europe. A reform root and branches would be fine idea, but there is an alternative that like minded sovereign nations set up their own trading block like the one we voted for in the '70s, and constrain its limits with a constitution immediately rather than wait 40-odd years before getting Giscard d'Estaing (!) to try it.

    • @rendezvouswithjamiemcglue
      @rendezvouswithjamiemcglue  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Absolutely, but how exactly do we organise this? I advocate a more decentralised coordination. This is my response to another comment here just now:
      But if we only run a single nationalist party (even if we manage to overcome that obstacle of uniting) I worry many people who would vote for a nationalist candidate would instead vote globalist/status quo, because one or more of the groups/people involved in the super-party triggers them in regard to some sacred cow they can't be rational about. The danger of centralising the nationalist movement (besides a single target being easier for globalists to infiltrate, subvert and attack) is that it may reduce our ability to reach out to people who are on the fence in order to get the 5 minutes of their time we need to make them realise that they have been misled and lied to. We need lots of different voices who can appeal to the various sections of Irish society and opinion, who then swiftly lead the conversation from where the listener agrees to the core point that we need to defend free speech, borders and sovereignty. Once this is done, then the candidate/party needs only to persuade the listener (who already has a favourable open mind to them) that they must unite in giving a mere preference on the ballot to those other parties /candidates who vow to defend these three things.
      Above all right now we need to reach out to those who usually don't vote or usually vote status quo; preaching to the choir isn't enough. I think it will be more successful for winning seats if nationalists allow an organic decentralisation of the movement, with many parties and candidates who are united only in passion for Ireland and agreement on the core principles of defending free speech, borders and sovereignty. I think the formal structure should simply be that we all sign on for membership of a coalition which retains the separate party names and structures but which requires an oath to uphold free speech, fair borders and full sovereignty; loose enough a definition but tight enough that globalists can't sign on without completing doing a 180 turn. The only danger I see with decentralisation is if the voters fail to educate themselves on the names of the patriotic true nationalist candidates running in their constituency and so fail to give preferences to all of them. But isn't providing this information via a massive grassroots outreach campaign easier and overall less risky than everyone uniting into a single group whose talking points, leaflets, posters, website, newsletters, podcasts etc. would all have to be somehow united into a unified message with a single leadership executive?
      My own party, Gaelic Awakening, is for now still small, but if I were to sign up to Nationalist Alliance, presuming they would have me, I wonder how much of my principles, policies, irreverent style and frequent swan dives into spiritual tangents would be appreciated or allowed by party leadership. It seems to me wisest that we allow the organic flourishing of many voices, which is in line with the tribal decentralisation of our ancestors; but similar to our ancestors we ensure a certain minimalist central structure which can provide symbolic unity. This I think should be a coalition/group which simply has a website listing all the parties and candidates in each constituency who have vowed to defend free speech, borders and sovereignty; and this group would also organise an education campaign via social media, radio and knocking on doors, to ensure everyone knows all the candidates they must give preferences to, and who to ignore. If the voters are organised by the candidates, I think we'll have a healthier democracy and a big victory.

    Educating people about the importance of numbering their preferences in order of 1 through 14 is key to preventing spoiled votes 👍

    • @rendezvouswithjamiemcglue
      @rendezvouswithjamiemcglue  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, more education is vital now. However, we only need to number those candidates we wish to give a vote to, so even listing 1, 2 and 3 would be a valid vote. This is very important to note, because not only must we give preferences to EVERY candidate standing for Free Speech, Fair Borders and Full Sovereignty, but we also mustn't give votes to ANY establishment candidates opposed to all these. Even if we list them 13th, there is a real chance in a late round of counting that this vote will be given to them, just as if it were our #1

    Judging by the European elections most Irish people will continue to vote for the mainstream parties. The right of centre grouping is fragmented and divided between several small parties. As things stand nothing will change. Europe is headed for another five years of the same trends with von der Leyen’s re-election. Increasing numbers of ordinary people are going to question the value of democracy, increasing numbers will question the value of the European project. But despite their discontent the political elite will largely remain untouchable….unless?

But I do think a loose coalition of patriotic candidates and parties could a) educate voters on how to vote without spoiling it, b) educated the voters on who to give preferences to, and c) collaborate to ensure at least someone in the coalition is running for every seat (meaning a 5-seater constituency must have 5 of our people on offer for the voters of Ireland). @@Joseph13163 Good question, I think we need to rally round the concept / principle of Full Sovereignty, but exactly what it entails is a messy business. I'd say for now we need to do whatever will practically put the brakes on these insane policies trying to transform Ireland at top speed. So I think that means for now working within the EU and trying to reform it, while simultaneously working to reform Ireland itself (much more important) and then if the EU fails to change its ways (as unfortunately seems likely) then we can campaign to leave, with the ability to say we tried to work with it but it's beyond redemption. Hopefully by the election in 2030ish we'll be in a position where leaving the EU will be more acceptable to the country at large, and parties can campaign for that if it seems wise. Until then, I advocate maximising Irish sovereignty (and sovereignty for every other member state, like Hungary, Denmark, etc.) within the framework of the European Union. I think that should be something IFP can get on board with, even though they will also go further and endorse an immediate exit. Again, it's all about practically benefitting Ireland.

      Possibly - I haven't seen conclusive evidence that the system isn't secretly rigged somehow - but for now my best shot is taking action as if it isn't rigged, and we'll find out how things look after the election. It's all about practical baby steps forward.

    We need one Nationalist Party. The more you split the vote, the liklier it is that the Globalist party will win on the first count.

    • @rendezvouswithjamiemcglue
