I just pulled the midshaft bearing from my 2010 AR240. I have a stainless steel part still on the end of the shaft with the two o-rings in it. I assume it's the thrust washer. Should this just pull off? Mine isn't coming off, I tried wrapping it with electrical tape and used some channel lock pliers with no luck. Then tried a map torch and got it hot enough to start smoking the seals still won't move. Do you have a video of the removal of this item? Ray
So I just did this and looked at the factory schematics and there are two o rings that go on the shaft and it looks like one goes behind the seal closer to the motor. Did you put orings in?
@@EricksonMachinePerformance I have another question. I bought a wsm kit with a bearing and seals and it came with two of the same seals that are on the motor side. was I supposed to put both of them in on that one side? I have two wave runners and they each only had one.www.wsmparts.com/Item/003-622/Bearing_Housing_Repair_Kit_br_Yamaha_650__1300_94_20?iCartID=163028&sSessionID=0b647e92-d5e4-4917-a3d2-4c781a72503d#start_view
@@CoyoteChris When you grease a lot of stuff you can feel when you start to build pressure which is when you stop. Unfortunately there's really no right answer to give you because every grease gun pumps at a different rate. And really is a feel thing. Sorry I can't be more helpful than that unfortunately there's no real right answer 5 pumps on my grease gun wouldn't equal 5 pumps on yours if you understand what I mean.
Mark, I keep having problems and or questions about things i run into and you keep having a video that helps me along in this hobby. Thank you!
Happy to help!
Great Informational video...Luv this channel!
Glad you enjoy it! thanks for watching
Which grease do you guys use in the midshaft housings?
THanks for making this. Need to do this job soon.
Any time!
Hey bud my go 1200 has 0 push and I’ve been told that this is the problem. Do you think this mid shaft bearing will kill all shaft power?
I have a 1992 Yamaha Waverunner VXR (WRB650) with a short shaft. How can I find out what bearings, housing and oil seals my jetski has?
Email me ericksonmap@gmail.com.
Is this for a square nose or round. Or does it matter
Do I need to pull my engine out completely or can I slide it forward and leave it in my hull to get the housing and shaft out?
It's easier to just pull the engine
We gotta get you some more subs 😎
Help share the videos!!

Hi Guys.
Need to pull the whole engine out or just push it forward?
Depends on the ski. Normally, it's easier to pull the engine

enough to push the engine or pull it out ?
Did you have to pull the motor to remove it?
did you ever find out? I need to know also

Yes you are correct and they where changed. Those orings are more to dampen harmonics from the engine.

@@CoyoteChris But if you pump slowly and pay attention to what your doing you'll be fine
