Great review Anthony. The MPGs are so great and you know that I really like the Crown. I'd likely go with the XLE. The built in dashcam is such a great idea and I wish more manufacturers would make that an option or even better standard. The limited having 1 less cubic feet of cargo kind of puzzled me lol. 77 was the high here and that didn't last too long. It was so nice to have windows and doors open and it's looking like it's supposed to stay that way for the next week fingers crossed. How are things on your side? Hopefully it's cooler as well. That is a bummer that your contractor broke the vanity but hopefully things will keep progressing there. I saw one of your doggies in the live stream and she is so cute and I can tell she loves getting attention from you! They are pretty strong dogs too yes? Hoping all is well and happy Monday Anthony
Thank you James. The Crown is awesome, it was weird seeing but of these at the same time but I was happy. Yeah the cargo thing is silly. That’s great weather and we had a similar day high 70s and now it’s cooler. This week highs look like the mid 80s which I hope we can but keep this weather. Today the contractor finally started the kitchen I no longer have one lol. I hope they start the install tomorrow so I don’t have to eat takeout everyday. I know I sound spoiled but I like to cook. This week I will try to show both of my chows as they just kept wanting to be around this past Saturday 😁. My chows are baby’s but they can be trained guard dogs but these one have the bark but nothing more. Happy Monday James
Not having a kitchen would be so no bueno. I hardly ever do take away and when I do it's always sushi lol. I prefer to cook also but am far from a gourmet. 2 of my neighbors and I share food with each other which is good because I only know how to cook big lol. I hope they can get that fixed for you soon. I had a friend who had a chow and I took care of him for a week. That dog walked me lol! So strong. Have a great night Anthony and enjoy the coolerish weather@@HawkeyeRides
TH-cam held your common again. I need to check with my setting maybe I can find the problem. So far 2 days no water or kitchen and hopefully tomorrow they start as this is his everyday words lol. I order pizza for a few days, it looked like I was having a football part. Thats awesome you and the neighbors do that. When I first moved here we had some exchanging of food but not so much now. Chow are fun and they have a strong pull. I have a medium and small one and they are both over 50lbs. Great weather today at Porsche I posted a few pictures on the community tab, back to BMW / Mini tomorrow and Mercedes next week. Have a great night James
Yes I noticed that my reply was not there and I'm glad you did also. YT is kind of crazy lately recommending videos of stuff I have no interest in and also giving me videos that I already watched so who knows lol. Oh wow that is not cool not having anything happening with you kitchen. I think you get tired of pizza after a while lol. I'm lucky having some great neighbors for sure. It was only 76 for the high here today and so nice when I went out. How were things on your side? Hope all is well and I look forward to what you review at BMW. Have a great night Anthony@@HawkeyeRides
Hopefully they (YT) will fix this problem. I have to go back tomorrow to BMW as I am looking to do a really cool comparison video and some more performance vehicles. One of the suv was not there to do it today so I said I will come back Thursday. I am a big pizza lover but time is ticking lol. I just want this construction done... Even when I talk to the contractor he is like 50/50 half happy/half what now. I told him I let you do all the measuring but now I am going behind him as he is off with his numbers. What a world we are in that contractors do not know sample math. Have a great night James
I'm in the same boat, but the 360 degree panoramic view option only comes with the Advanced Tech package on the Limited. And this can be such a blessing when parking in tight spots. I really wish the you could option the Limited with 19" wheels.
I've gotten Crown sedan XLE. This is an amazing quality car. Only gripes that I have that doesn't have memory seat & 360 camera which Meh~ to me,but I'm extremely happy with this car. Another thing, I don't see many of them on the road. That's good part.
The XLE signia has memory drivers. I don’t like the headlights on the XLE. Manual leveling ?? Why do I need to roll a little dial to raise the projected light path.
I agree, I don’t need the pano roof and prefer the 19” wheels. I think I could survive without the parking sensors but I’ve got quite used to them with my last two vehicles. What I really want is the upgraded sound system. I really like to jam on my cruise. I wish that was an option.
Wife and I purchased the Crown Signia XLE, but didn't realize the XLE does not have PARKING SENSORS! Tried to order a kit for our car, but not successful! We are both in our 80's, and it is harder to judge distances when parking! Wish we had known this TOYOTA blunder before we purchased it!
I’m sorry to hear this and the sales person should’ve explained the features to you guys. I see it sometimes when I’m out on the lots so I normally stop my review to help explain. Thank you for sharing and congratulations
I'd get the XLE. Why spend 10% more money for a vehicle that is ~99% the same? You get a little electronic nonsense and less head room. I'm 6'-3". I also don't see the point of the larger wheels.
I would choose XLE if I had digital mirror and JBL sound. I have to wait and see if they’ll change it next year. I’m with you giving us options to choose what we want.
Sound system is a big deal for me. I don’t need to blast the tunes; I enjoy immersive, clear sound in a quiet cabin. If the xle can provide that, I don’t need to pay $4000 grand for the upgrade.
I was excited by the Crown Signia, having followed this design for two years as it was previewed in Japan as the “Crown Estate”. I test drove both versions. Decided not to buy for three reasons. 1. Price of both models over $50k in CA. 2. Headlights (low beam) are bad - the beam, even adjusted max height with dashboard control, is TOO low (a RAV4 shines over 2 feet higher) and the recessed placement cuts off some of the side illumination - again noticeably worse than RAV4. 3. There is no spare and no room to place a spare. Another negative, though not a deal breaker, is that the rear seat backs are thinly padded and do not adjust for angle.
1. Cars are expensive now. 2. Headlights are great - no issue at all with seeing at night and I'm an old guy. 3. There is a cutout for a spare i the Limited and I out a Modern Spare there. Should it cone with one or be an option? Yea, totally agree, but not a reason to buy the car if you like everything ting else 😊
@ Are you talking about the Crown SIgnia? There is NOT a cutout for a spare under the rear storage compartment. absolutely not! There is a metal top of the battery compartment there with a curve formed in it… but it cannot hold a spare. I suspect the previous poster is thinking of a different vehicle.
Regarding the spare tire, it doesn't come with one, but there is room to add one . . . well, one of some type . . . I'm not sure if a full-size will work, but there are some other spare tire options out there now as more and more dealers are doing the no-spare-tire thing. Take, for example, the Honda CRV Byrbid, which is a great vehicle, but it doesn't even have a place to put a spare tire! Anyway, I guess we're lucky that at least we have a place to put a spare tire under the back liner area of the Crown Signia. Another thing I don't love about the Crown Signia is the glass pano roof doesn't open like a traditional sun/moon roof. Also, its position is such that the people in the front really don't get to enjoy much of it overhead. There is also a wide black section slicing right through the pano glass roof that isn't very appealing to the eye. At least the pano does open up the feel of the back seat, so that is at least one positive note.
This is true but the mpg we get is less than Eroupe. I was in UK for almost 3 weeks and there vehicles get 60-100 miles more per fill so don’t let this litter or gallon thing foul you.

I bought the XLE because it had 19”vs 21”. Cheaper to replace 19” tires and wheels. Did not want a sunroof so the XLE worked perfectly.
