  • Normanton, located on the Savannah Way is a small country town in the north of Queensland. In the mid 1880’s gold was discovered at the nearby town of Croydon and a train line was established between the two towns. The line is still in use 150 years later and the Gulflander train is a popular tourist attraction. Another unique feature is the huge life size replica of Krys, the Savannah King the largest authenticated salt water crocodile ever shot, measuring in at 8.63 metres in length. And don’t forget the Purple Pub.
