- We spent a few days in Normanton on this visit & it gave us a chance to really explore this great town.
We look at the Gulflander Train at the historic Normanton Railway Station. Have a look at a Giant Crocodile & a Purple Pub.
We did a helicopter flight over the floodplains towards Karumba, a must do when in Normanton. Amazing views over the surrounding land.
A little out of town we visit Leichardt Lagoon & Glenore Weir
We also did a trip out to Hells Gate but that will be in the next episode

We stayed at the Gulfland Motel and Caravan Park. The one the Big Barramundi out the front 😂
Great Host’s & also run a helicopter flight over the surrounding areas towards Karumba

it was closed when I passed through there too the purple pub .. and yeah the croc was bigger than. scale according to the history note .. huge tho hey . we didn't get to look at everything in town tho. went thru to Karumba

Yeah. It’s our third trip through the Gulf. Seems a natural course to take after coming down from the Cape
We’re currently working our way down the Qld coast towards Fraser Island over the next few weeks & then back across to SA. Possibly Birdsville or Innamincka to work our way south to the Eyre Peninsula for a few weeks
Hoping to be back in Vic for Christmas……
