My friend and I want to their concert in New Haven the night that this aired. After the show, we watched the band watch this performance through the window of their tour bus! That was an awesome night :)
Are there more videos with those girls singing in them? I would like to see more of the girl that was closer to the drummer. Is she doing any public singing today? Haven’t seen anyone reply here! Those backing girls were fab! Someone must know something about them…
Was Letterman mentioning the drums for a reason? Are they some famous brand? I did notice that I liked the sound of them and normally I'm just not that discerning. But they are featured in a couple places and they really do seem to have a better sound than most of the bands that appear. or is it the drummer? I'm generally impressed with how bands sound on shows because though they have some control it's not like it's a recording studio. But this performance sounds extra great.
@ttank74 OH MY GOD!~!!!! Your comment is the funniest thing I've ever read in my life... I actually fell out of my chair. Man I will never forget this comment. It's just an awesome comment.. You deserve an award for this comment. Like WOW! you rock ttank74 !!!!
@CyberoptixDubstep: Yes terrible performance. It was on Letterman and you weren't. Guess your noobtube performances (commenting as you have and your echo techno) will have to do...
Letterman was such a great late night show, funny, "Top Ten Lists," great musical guests, and Stupid Pet Tricks. Late Night is now full of political simps, Fallon, Kimmel, Colbert... all garbage.
Anyone else get chills upon the first chorus? Hearing "When the Morning Comes!" just fucking ... yes.
That's one crazy good drummer behind the kit.
Fuckin agreed
He is what makes this clip what it is. Fucking amazing.
Still one of my favorite bands of all time. Sadly underrated. Damian is a genius
Gotta say it again - this song BELONGS to that drummer!!! He's so so good.
He played those drums like they owe him money! Great performance. Great song!
They really unleashed the Danimal in this performance. Great drums and great band overall
This may be my favorite rendition of this great song. That drummer is the fucking best!

I think I fell in love
welcome to the club :)
I think their drummer is amazing. I wish they had shown more of him.
It's so freakin' great to see them playing live.. they enjoy it as much as the crowd does. Or even more.
absolutely incredible !
Love Dan so much! Such a good drummer!
Heard this song for the first time last week. I am addicted to it !!!!!!!!!!!

I miss Dave. When he had you on it usually meant he was into the band. Love it.
nothing crazy technical on the drums but so much power and precision. beautiful
The drummer steals the show
This song put me in a good mood.
drummer literally goes HAM at 3:20 that is an INSANE FILL
He made that whole song.
What's insane about this fill? :D He's mid
Damn , that is some good music listening to this in Montrose Colorado May of 2022 ad , smoking some of Colorados finest
Damn didn’t realize this song was that old!! Only just recently started listening to it 😳😳
Ok Go is the only band on Letterman with the power to say "No, Mr. Paul Shaffer, you can NOT be featured on stage with us."
Thanks for posting this, I don't have broadcast tv in my house so missed it!!

I like how the bass is distorted
i love how at 00:38 you see damian just 'feel' the music
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love the beat, especially as a drummer
Keyboardist is beautiful!
Dave kills me, he neve (as in Never) missed a chance to ask the drummer about his drum ownership.
So good
Yes, this.

Cool band work baby!
this is sweet
See people they CAN perform live!
Please come to Klagenfurt!
Dan is the fucking man!
the drum is sick!
Notice how every video has 2 flippin ads per video now? That alone puts me in a foul mood where I dont even want to watch the video.
Good job Dan!!!!!!!!!
Wow such a Mandela effect
(ie my memory sucks)
I thought this song and this band came out way after Letterman retired
WHY WOULD THEY PLAY THE DRUM TRACK WITH THE LIVE DRUMS THIS MAKES NO SENSE
You've got good ears
Also, who’s playing lead guitar?
Are there more videos with those girls singing in them? I would like to see more of the girl that was closer to the drummer. Is she doing any public singing today? Haven’t seen anyone reply here! Those backing girls were fab! Someone must know something about them…

"NICE JOB ON THE RENTALS!"
That drummer KILLED it.

at 2:32 Damian's just like, "lol i aint singing suckas"
Like if you can see the entire machine while this song is heard. XD
Hahah Dave always compliments the drums

DANGER: Do not touch mod wheel!

what is making that treble sound if there is no guitar?
Who is Mr Brown?
@llamasarus1 trumpets & other brass recording.
Needs a marching band
@llamasarus1 the bass
2:21 a little off key? :P
@ttank74 dont get it
Why do i think of sim city everytime I hear this?😂
Haha, They must have been the third time they played this song on letterman :P
....live auch nicht schlecht.......
@TheSpiceify and hes still taller than tim :)
Why does he always stand in a mini split?
@ttank74 or ditto even
I miss when they ACTUALLY USED GUITARS.
+Kurdt Lawrence this is the stupidest thing ive ever read
This is basically one of the only songs Andy doesn't play guitar
I wonder why they thought it necessary to stress the drummer out by making him catch up to a drum track during the performance. Very sloppy.
Probably for time reasons, they probably plan the shows out really intricately to make sure it all fits in within the time limit
There were plenty of options if they wanted to stick to a certain tempo.
Fooly Cooly some effects and guitars were played from the click track too.
Not at all
So I'm confused cause I've never played an instrument but I love music. Was the drummer playing along to a track or was he being augmented by a track?
Does the leader singer remind anyone else of Casey Affleck?
@aw3s0m3p0ssum i knoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow
They remind me a lot of Black Kids
4:05 Uh...Worldwide Pants Inc.? \=(
daequan
@ttank74 diddo
This is a great song, but if you don't realize that the drums are the backbone of this song you must be deaf.
I like to make a sandwich to this song.
yeah he has such long legs lol
the one-shooter-marching-act is better
Scumbag Steve gives his single thumb down again...
