- Forever My Girl tells the story of country music super-star Liam Page (Alex Roe) who left his bride, Josie (Jessica Rothe), at the altar choosing fame and fortune instead. However, Liam never got over Josie, his one true love, nor did he ever forget his Southern roots in the small community where he was born and raised. When he unexpectedly returns to his hometown for the funeral of his high school best friend, Liam is suddenly faced with the consequences of all that he left behind.

The plot is good. I really loved the movie. Highly recommended. A story about choices and consequences, forgiveness. Go and watch this feel-good movie.

Actually, no. It is a full length book from 8 years ago, not from Wattpad and the plot it's a little bit different like they have a son, not a daugther and he is 10years old not 7yo but still it's a good book and I totally recommend it

Much like nachos out of the microwave, this film is quick, simple, and a little too cheesy, but also enjoyable and without regrets. It made me think about my family relationships and what I'm doing to strengthen them. It also painted small town Louisiana in a very beautiful picture and that was nice to see.

I saw this movie at the theater, waited to come out on dvd and bought it, I also got it as a mother's day gift from my kids ( now I got 2 copies of the dvd- one for home and one for our rv). Love love love this movie.

There's this novel named One Percent Of You by Michelle Gross and its about a single mom(Hadley) falling in love w the next door neighbour(Elijah) AND the interaction here btw Liam and his daughter reminds me so very much of Elijah and Lucy!!!(Hadley's daughter) This movie seems soo niceee i'll be definitely watching it!

There a book on this story but its way diffenrt then the movie!!! Like in the book it a son not a daughter, and it isn't the grandma that dies it one of the main leads friends husband that was best friends with the main lead guy. I like the book, but the movie could be Ok cant wait to see it

I don't understand why they completely changed the movie to not tell the original book. First of all Liam comes back for a friend's funeral and runs into a little BOY looking at football trophies. Secondly Liam is not a country music singer in the book, he is in a rock band. I was initially excited to hear this book was made into a movie. Now I'm not sure I'll even go see it. They've changed the whole premise of the book. Also this is the first book in a series, there is even a second generation of books about the children of the band members. I have no idea why the author rewrite her entire book.

donald, you act like hollywood is just one group of evil greedbags. it seems more like someone was desperate for southern accents and puke-worthy sweetum moments rather than making an actual movie on a book that was successful for staying true to the inconveniences. if they were really money-hungry, they'd be smart about it and keep to the book.
so sure, these guys could be greedbags, but the demographic of _specific-book-into-movie-loving_ country hicks is pretty lacking, so it just doesn't add up...

lmao, i'm not sure you read all that i said. i said that yes, they could be greedbags, but that just doesn't add up with the stupidity presented here. i highly doubt the hicks will like this movie, but perhaps i - and those producers - put too much faith in them. this trailer contradicted itself with following the book, though -right off the bat, but oh well.
Thank you! Someone who gets it! Im proud of HM for either making money selling her story or rewriting for a d list should be made for tv movie, but the books make you love the characters and this is far from what we as readers fell in love with. And those accents tho.

I've had a screening of this and I will say. . .Yes, it's not like the book (which of course, as usual, was even better) but that's why they say it's based on the book, or an adaptation...it's NOT the book exactly (many things are different. And PS for those that read the book, the funeral scene is NOT for the grandmother.) but it still gives you a great story and shines a light on Liam & Josie from a different angle (I think this was due to demographics). So, I'd say to give Forever My Girl a shot it's a feel good movie!
This is a fantastic movie, I like the Actors and the plot. I disagree with the brother when he was putting down Liam, well Liam did wrong but he was trying to make up for it his mother pass when he was young, and he did not know how to handle thing but when he found he had that precious daughter he step up. A very fantastic good movie over all.
