  • Trees provide important habitat for wildlife, support our health and wellbeing, and can reduce the Trust's carbon footprint. As part of the Trust Green Plan, Trust members are invited to become Green Champions, and help plant the 420 tree saplings donated by the Woodland Trust.
Planting will start on 23rd November at 10am at Harefield Hospital, and continue throughout National Tree Planting Week and beyond. No experience necessary, but booking essential to respect social distancing. (new Covid-19 guidelines).
Why not become a green champion?
Gardening is important to maintain one’s health and wellbeing. This is particularly important during the current times, which can be testing.
We are now recruiting Green Champions, who will help maintain the Peace Gardens, and other Harefield gardens. Champions will receive training and become part of the green fingered community, benefiting from online gardening sessions on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, on Zoom. The December session will focus on tree planting.
Thanks to the Mayor of London Greener City Fund, National Lottery Community Fund, HS2 CEF, Patient Amenities Fund, and the Heathrow Community Trust.
