Thank you for taking the time to explain this. Even though you are in the USA and I'm in Canada, i'm sure the fundamentals are similar. This makes sense. For someone new like me, videos from people like you make it possible. Really appreciate it.
eBay sometimes falls short when it comes to the details of how to do things. Your video was very informative. I'm so glad that experienced eBay members like yourself share their knowledge with others who are still in "learning mode". Thank you so much.
Thanks Rebel! I have done the combined shipping before payment many times but no lie I had a buyer purchase 2 items and pay for them separately not 2 hours before you released this video. I was in a rush and had no time to figure out how to combine so I just sent them separately. I did send her a little discount anyway but I really could have used this tutorial a couple hours earlier! 😂
I can't thank you enough for helping me out to do my first big 3 items to the same person, you two are the best, I do my best to support you back threw buying threw your links, thankyou thankyou,,,a happy watcher from Nebraska,
Hi, can you remake this video . The screens look a bit different and somewhere along the line, I'm not following what I am supposed to be doing. I do look around on the page and see if that item is in a different spot, I worked out the one before they buyer pays , but having difficulty on after they pay trying to figure it out. Thanks
this is helpful just to know how experienced sellers do it. Ebay isn't really the smoothest interface. It feels very herky jerky, overcomplicated and clunky when using it.
Could you share the dimensions of the board with the white fabric behind you with the clothes hanger? Do you have a video on how to construct it with it leaning back? Please send me the link if you do. I'm trying to downsize selling my daughter's clothes she can't wear any more. Thank you for educating us and you do a fantastic job.
I did all this for combine shipping but my problem is I don't have a box to fit all the items into. I had to custom make these large thin picture frame boxes and a small box. I dont have a large box to place all of the buyers products. I have 3 items all going to the same buyer that are individually boxed. So what would be the best way to get this to the buyer? Ive already combined shipping and now I cant get them all in one large box without paying for an expensive elongated box size.
@@TheRebelReseller yeah, i ended up repackaging the 3 items and custom cut two boxes wih scissors to make one elongated box. It ended up messing up the weight and dimensions of the package. So i paid about 15.00 more in shipping.I bubble wrapped it really nice and tight using the two boxes. It was one of longest times ive spent packaging an item. After all that i never all got a positive review. Lol
There really isn't a height to a bubble mailer. The height, or thickness, depends on what kind of item you're putting in it. It could range from something 1/4 inch thick or smaller, up to a few inches thick. The length and width are big factors in determining how thick of an item can go in a bubble mailer.
If the package isn't going to be subject to dimensional weight, the dimensions don't matter. I don't enter dimensions on eBay for regular sized (not dimensional weight) packages for items under a pound. For those regular sized items over one pound, I enter the dimensions of the large priority box, 13x13x8. For any packages larger than that, I enter the dimensions. Dimensional weight packages are packages with a length x width x height greater than 1728 cubic inches which is a cubic foot.
We use OBS and do either a window or full screen capture depending on what we need. It's free and there are a lot of how to videos and articles that show how to use it which helps us figure out how to do what we need for a video. We also use it to record our haul and what sold videos.
I can’t thank you enough for this video Rebel! I didn’t know that you could turn off immediate payments for the buyer. But with as much as I dislike accepting an offer, having the buyer never pay and then having to relist it, turning it off sounds risky. Has it turned out that way for you?
I have my fair share of non-paying buyers. But most are people who sent offers so it doesn't help having "immediate payments" turned on anyway. I often have people who purchase multiple items and I don't mind if they take a couple days to shop.
This is Robert...I use Davinci Resolve to edit videos. It's free and has a lot of features. If something on the screen needs to be covered or blurred and I want to do it fast and easy, I create a rectangle over that area of the screen. I choose a color for the rectangle that is the main color the will be covered up so it's less glaring to look at. This is an older video and I've gotten better at making that kind of thing look a bit nicer than when we first started. You can also do a blur on part of the screen instead of a colorized rectangle but that's a bit more complicated. I tinker with it every now and then if I'm not in a hurry.
This is such a great video! How are they able to buy without paying first? I have it set up in my ebay store that I dont require immediate payment but for some reason everyone still messages me to make them a custom listing and they say that otherwise it makes them pay a huge shipping total. Then I have to refund which is terrible for the buyer because not everyone has that much to shop with OR can't afford to wait for the refund to clear their funds
I do not have immediate payment required turned on. I do get multiple item orders quite often and this allows my buyers to continue shopping. When they are done, I then send an invoice. You could tell them to send an offer and then they don't have to pay immediately. Then you can send a combined invoice. Hope this helps.
In OBS you can set up multiple scenes. I set up a scene that is just the camera on Rebel and a microphone. When she selects that scene, it shows her and records her voice to a video file on the hard drive. I set up a second scene that shows the web browser window, the camera on Rebel but I resized it so it's small and in the corner, and it has a microphone. When she switches to that scene, it shows that configuration and that is what is saved to the video file. When she's finished talking about what sold, she switches back to the first scene and that's what is now being saved to the video file. When she's finished with the whole video, I edit the video file in Davinci Resolve and cut out that part where she's switching scenes so what you see is it jumping from one immediately to another.
@@TheRebelReseller I think the only time it could be an issue would be if you had a global shipping program order but it’s within a few ounces so I have never had a problem.
So are you saying that you just take the loss if it's over 13 Oz? Because don't you still have to put in the eBay shipping system if it's more than 13 Oz?
What if you set it to free shipping and each item weighs 4oz? Do I receive a 4oz label if they buy two products, or does it recognize it's now an 8oz label?

Thank you, we had someone win an auction on two items and then go radio silent for two days. Then at 1am asked for combined shipping on the two items.
People get busy. I just cancel on day 4.
@TheRebelReseller the guy didn't pay and we gave him 5 days. I don't think he lived in the regions we ship to.
If your item is 16oz or under and a bread and butter item do you always do First Class.
Yes, I only do priority for under 16 oz if it higher dollar and I want the added insurance.
Thanks for doing that video. And I went into Poshmark again and am getting used to it.

Quick question. After you issue a refund for the shipping, does ebay recalculate your fees automatically?
Yes, before you submit the refund, it will show you the credit for the fees you had paid for that amount.
