These videos explain the attitude of men on my dad's side of the family. All military or government workers going back to the times that they immigrated from Scotland.
Dude, you're gonna single handedly change the military and make it a better place for us all. No way all the commanders and such aren't seeing all of these...
Lol. I went from private industry slave labor wages to govt work. It was the first time I actually had health insurance, paid sick time, and paid vacation. I couldn't believe it.
Can relate to this as working mines and energy sector for life. Some of us thrive on a controlled environment. Being let out to see the “wild” can be bewildering.
I heard that that’s the reason a lot of neurodivergent people do really well in the military. The external motivation and clear rules, boundaries, policies and procedures is really good for people with ADHD and other kinds of neurodivergence. I know I liked it, and struggled a bit when I got out.
They put urine charts up at work at eye level over the urinals. I went to safety and asked them to lower the charts because everyone cant piss that high and someone could hurt themselves trying. 🤣
Work at nuclear plant, there 100% is a poster in the bathroom to tell you what color your urine should be. The military life is alive and well in the nuclear industry(kinda).
man that vet is lucky to have found a job where they were actually good enough to say you should go home while sick... at my mother's job the manager was just fired because she took 6 days off when she was quite sick with COVID, she was nearly hospitalized... they fired her because they said she should have come into work... ... despite the fact she had been working remotely as much as she could, she even did scheduling and all the other duties she was technically required to do... she just didn't come into the building to work... This is the norm for every job I know of as well...
Might just be a Chair Force thing, but from talking to my friends it seems like civilians have it way worse when it comes to sick days and time off in general.
I don't know what civilian jobs MFD has had but none of the ones that I've had (and that's a lot) have ever been as great as he makes them out to be... some times I think the civilin coporate world is worse than the military......but only some times........
Before one summer my new supervisor said they were going to put up a scale in the restroom so you could check your urine to make sure you were hydrated. One guy raised his hand and asked why it mattered how much it weighed.
I enjoy these videos but I’ve noticed a lot of service members really struggle in civilian jobs with deadlines and independent work being done. Most we have where I work do not work there longer than six months or so.
Oh dear lord, if i had house inspections... The energy drink cans and pizza boxes would not be in my way when I'm looking for things ! It's an actual deficiency not being trained to do things without regulation. I'm not even joking.
Go to work in construction, you’ll see a lot of the same procedures, including the reflective clothing. We had urine color posters in the shitters. One contractor I worked for even had their own fuel depot. And there will be safety briefings, or meetings. And some of the younger guys are married to strippers, or they have cars they can’t afford.
"I haven't heard my first name in like 17 years"
Best line holy shit! 😆

"Where do these ppl find the will to live?!" 😂

I'm out for 13 years now... I remember calling my buddies on the boat and telling them allllll this..!!!!

Bruh….I am too looking for the company’s supply of Will to Live and I can’t find that shit NOWHERE!
"...throw up on my own carpet ". Oh, that makes sense.

Epic 😂😂😂
Watching Vets in Civi-life is like watching Americans react to free healthcare and civilized work life balance.
Lol the Happy energy drink!! 😂😂😂

It's like you've been following me around taking notes...

I miss those long weekend safety briefs!
When i worked for Wally World, we existed on cigarettes, energy drinks, and spite.
Okay. It's completely settled. I am now 100% satisfied that I did not enlist. 👍 👍 👍
The last one got me lol
4:00 I died seeing the two different monsters as phones.
Yeah love those ”phones” 😂😂
No vehicle inspections and no chalk blocks??? WHAT!!! 😂😂😂
"As far as i can tell actual work"
Nah. Thats not true lol
Haha, they don't tell us what not to do on the weekend.
I feel this more than I want to
Come work in public education. The transition will be much smoother.
I have over 400 hours of sick leave saved up. The whole concept of calling off feels wrong.
That's 10 weeks paid vacay. You must really love your job. In most companies if you don't use it you lose it every year.
is it ACTUALLY saved up? or did it not roll over from last year? go talk to HR and find out before you try to take a 10 week vacation
I can't tell if the guy that is still in is terrified or amazed.

The 2020 vehcile with 30,000 miles is just going to get funnier and funnier as time goes on
"Energy drink called 'Happy' gives them energy to clean."
This is why military people make such good construction workers😂
I haven't heard my first name in like 17 years😂😂😂😂
If you don't know what to do on the weekend, just pretend you're Canadian and sees if you can make the Geneva checklist longer!
He should have given you a Lozenge! That's all you need. The VA issues them, it will literally cure Rickets or even the plague 😅
I reckon you could time travel the first infantry soldier to the present day, and they would still totally understand these!😂❤

I've seen the urine chart in multiple warehouses lol
