Instead of going to these collection centres we can just give our waste to Kabadi wala/ raddi wala. They visit almost everywhere in india and collect cardboards(we receive a lot these days fron online orders) and plastic. They make sure our wastes are recycled by selling them to other vendors and you can potientially also earrn some money. Kabadi walas are truely nation builders and helping India reducing its waste output.
one small thing that I have changed in my lifestyle is to carry a water bottle everywhere I go, or carry a cloth bag to avoid wasting money on plastic bags when I go out to buy stuff. Small change but it's so satisfying to see that how much it has helped me.
Our school teachers gives us too many activities every year just to write save tress, save water 💧 and what are ways to conserve them but what will happen just by writing it on a sheet of paper, when we will do it practically They just give us these save tree, save water activities just to show how best our school is and by uploading them on instagram and Facebook 😶
Teachers give you task to write these things (like how to save water, trees, air, soil... basically the mother nature) so that you can understand it and apply it in your life. Every thing is not meant to be taught, they can only guide us but rest of steps must be taken by us. What about villages, where neither dustbin nor any resources to which they can put the waste thing ,in villages people burn the plastics and ,they throw the sanitary pads in field and in pond and all .
Segregate your wastes into wet waste and dry waste. Use wet waste like fruit & vegetable waste, tea powder and dried flowers for making compost. Add soil, curd or dahi as a source of microbes that decompose wet waste to form humus which becomes our organic fertilizer. You can also add earthworms to the mix which will consume the wet waste and prepare vermicompost which is made of earthworm poop. Compost formation is a slow process. It will take atleast a month for the wet waste to get converted into compost. This compost is an excellent organic fertilizer for your plants. If we grow vegetables like brinjal, coriander, kadhipatta, leafy vegetables, pulses, etc at our homes then, we get some of our food at our homes only. Societies can also create a vegetable garden if they have enough space. In this way, you can avoid going to very crowded vegetable markets and avoid covid virus.

Segregate your wastes into wet waste and dry waste. Use wet waste like fruit & vegetable waste, tea powder and dried flowers for making compost. Add soil, curd or dahi as a source of microbes that decompose wet waste to form humus which becomes our organic fertilizer. You can also add earthworms to the mix which will consume the wet waste and prepare vermicompost which is made of earthworm poop. Compost formation is a slow process. It will take atleast a month for the wet waste to get converted into compost. This compost is an excellent organic fertilizer for your plants. If we grow vegetables like brinjal, coriander, kadhipatta, leafy vegetables, pulses, etc at our homes then, we get some of our food at our homes only. Societies can also create a vegetable garden if they have enough space. In this way, you can avoid going to very crowded vegetable markets and avoid covid virus.
