Thanks Where will you be riding at? The S1000RR is a great bike, and crazy power for the track. I have never ridden in slick mode....even in race mode the throttle is a little twitchy for me in the tighter corners so I ride in race mode and sometimes in sport mode. You're right about the shift light....I need to change that because it seems to pretty much flash the entire time. It was set for street riding but I never got around to upping it. I think it is set for 10K. Good luck!
