Fallowed his direction exactly and my machine did everything just like in the video. I have watched other videos but this one was easy to follow.
They don't want you to repair it they want you to. Get a new one App have been work for years years lasts 25 30 parts you useing not needed

I've watched every video on TH-cam about this so far. A bunch of "Turn it left 80 times, right 40 times, slap your mama and pray to God." This is the only video out of all of them that actually worked. Thank you so much for uploading this, and I will definitely like and subscribe 👍

Just hoping for an answer to my issue. Mine is just like the one in the video and I've tried both resets and I get nothing. When I plug my machine back in after the two minutes, the click is very, very faint when the board or whatever is rebooted and then there is a very faint humming that starts. Any idea?

That’s why I could never get this to work. I forgot the part about slapping my mama LMAO.
I am quite handy with diag and repair but I never would have figured this out myself. saved hours of frustration and half of my vocabulary.

I can get all the blinking lights and get to rinse mode only flashing, but when I click start it stops and does nothing. The locked light never goes off
I've been repairing washers for 30 years. Most of the steps in this video are unnecessary. Start from any position and go L R R R L R ,THEN 4 clicks right till rinse light on, then start, that's it. Don't unplug
My conservator unit with the same setup.6 light model auto sense doesn't work. It just fills all the way to the top even with small loads or nothing at all. Got a fix?
What does it mean if when calibration none of the lights flash,they all come but didn't flash but it dis go through everything you said it would
It was the same on my Amana but I hung in there til it spun just a little, filled just a little and then unlocked. I figured what the heck the clothes and soap were already I'm there so I pushed the start button and right now my load is about to be complete. This gentleman is amazing and I'm so very grateful
well my lights did not flash they stayed solid it did several things even spinned a little then the lights went off and I unplugged it as said plugged it back in and started a small load I did notice when its washing the locked button is not on and its not locked which is ok with me I have never liked that feature not being able to open the lid when running. Do you see anything wrong here or do you think I will be good to go.

My washer will not fill when set to deep water. I tried this reset hoping it would fix the problem but didn’t. Even though the knob is turned to deep water it still does the auto sensing which does seem like enough water when it’s full of towels. Do you or anyone else have any ideas on this?

What about these stupid all touchscreen HUGE MISTAKE on my part .,,,is there a way to reset mine? It a pos Whirlpool Cabrio top loader . I have never had as much trouble in any washing machine. I had my mothers when I 1st moved out I know that washer lasted 30 years or more. I’m going back to the old school ones
I tried this and got to the calibration mode, when I pressed start all the lights flashed, the machine made a load buzzing noise which stopped pretty quickly, and then the lid lock light flashed continuously and that was it. How can I tell what's wrong with the machine?

Is it normal for these machines with the 6 lights as there any many models that are just alike to fill all the way up? The auto sense on my conservator machine doesnt seem to work. Fills up to top every time.

The settings on my Maytag don't say the same thing this washer says.
My lights won’t flash afterwards, also when I plug my washer in it sounds likes it running but no water and the bowl isn’t spinning or filling with water. Any idea? Thanks

I have tht exact model brand new just bought it. But it shakes in spin cycle. Not violently, but more than a washer should in my opinion. All ive ever had is direct drive. Legs are level, but i cant find any info or videos on normal operation and how much these new washers shake. Any help would appreciated. Thanks

Ok, I didn't replace any parts, just reset..or the 1st portion of the video. Hope it washes instead of making washing noise with no action. We shall see

I have a whirlpool mode WTW5000DW1, which can not re-start often lately after 5 years in service. The first two methods do not work. The last method of lifting the lid did the trick. Thanks for posting.

What does it mean you I turn the knob and when the lights come on they don't flash they stay solid and goes through all the cycles and shuts off,
I would try it several more times to make sure it was input right. Then look for error codes to specify the problem.

I have tried to reset my washer for 2 days after accidentally flooding it by soaking too many little bathmats at once. I tried several other videos, but this one was the only one that gave such clear instructions and included what to do just before re-calibrating and what to do afterwards. My machine is finally working right!!Thank you appliance flipper!

As he described...... I turned the knob 3 times counterclockwise, unplugged for 2 minutes, plugged in, and pressed the start button!
This is so crazy. You don’t see that in any of your manuals that you get when you buy a new washing machine. Absolutely crazy thank you.
Actually, at least in the whirlpool washers (and the other brands that my dude mentioned) the manuals are placed inside the steel frame that makes up the entire washer, sometimes you have to remove the lid assembly to see it, but most commonly flipping over the washer should allow you to see it.

This was the best video on the subject. We tried to get out machine out of Wash mode for 2 days, following other videos, but they clearly left out some steps. This video fixed the problem the very first time! Thank you appliance flipper!

I recalibrated mine so I tried washing some clothes. It click start and it stays on sensing It fills up with water and then it makes noise. It doesn’t wash. The led lights are off at this point

I’ve tried just about everything I can possibly try. Installed a new shifter actuator, installed a new capacitor. I’ve watched a few videos of the calibration process and it seems that the motor spins a few times during calibration. The problem with my machine is every time I try to calibrate or run it through the auto test it sounds like the motor spins for just a second and stops. But all the videos I’ve watched of the calibration process the motor spins two or three times the first time and then spins for a short while the second time. Mine just tries to spend once and makes the loud buzzing sound like it’s struggling to spin. If I take the pulley belt off,the motor will spin but again only for a second. I consistently get the error code for the shifter actuator, but I just installed the new one. Any thoughts?
I tried these steps but once I got to rinse and pressed start button, all lights immediately turned off, no loading . Also machine continues to stop during cycle with "Wash" Light On. Just Replaced Control Board Which was Maytags for sure Fix To The Issue...any suggestions?
What if it just wont go into recalibraton mode? Ive tried probably a hundred times and never get the flashing lights. I just keep hearing the clicking . Ive tried the lid reset as well and nothing. Any suggestions? PLEASE??!!

I’m having an issue with my unit…(mvwc565fw1) bought used and replaced the springs and basket hub. It still shakes bad during spin cycle. Help!!!

I have the exact same washer, did all the steps right. Only difference while recalibrating is yours are blinking randomly with the lock on. Mines has all the same lights are just on, with the lock on. Yours is making noise and running through mines is quiet and then unlocks.
In the coarse of a month I’ve had the motor, lower harness, lid lock, acu board, damper, actuator, parts replaced in increments 4 different techs.
The last guy finished the job yesterday and said it was done but all the light are just on when you move the dial. I tried to do a load thinking that’s just how it was gonna be and the lights run through the cycle but the washer doesn’t actually wash. The water fills up, goes quiet for a bit then when it says wash & you hear a spin sound randomly but not like it’s actually washing.. drains and then unlocks but the clothes and soap look how it looked when I put them inside.

Ok so I did all the things and at the end of the calibration, it stops and the lid lock light is blinking. I’ve done this twice. Does this mean that I need to replace the lid lock mechanism? I just replaced the actuator and looked in the drain pump for any obstructions.
We have one on the outside like this. But no adjutater in the middle. Big enough for my quilt and blankets. It stop spinning the way it should and leaves clothes very wet. When it goes to switch in gears ,it makes a weird sound.like its straining it or something. Then rocks a bit like off balance. Bought a few yrs ago at Lowes. Store says it doesn't keep records of purchases and warranty on it. Don't have money to fix it.or get another one. Hope this helps.
