It took about 20mins to apply the dye and I let it sit for 40mins before thoroughly rinsing with cold water then shampooed twice and conditioned for 30mins. All products may be found at Sally Beauty Supply store or your local beauty supply. Please comment any questions you may have 🤗

Glad it helped! Good luck,make sure to rinse the dye out with lukewarm-cold water until water is clear and deep condition. Continue to use oils and moisturizing products between dyes

hi!!! im thinking of doing this after seeing how good yours turned out :) did you have virgin hair before going red? i dyed my black virgin hair using a red box dye a few months ago and should i use a color remover or will the results be okay without it?
It wasn’t virgin, but the dye is meant for dark hair, so you should be okay 👌
I use 30-vol it lifts it much more to a brighter red if you are looking for that

Hi! First of all, you're gorgeous! I love the hair. I'm planning on doing this exact hair color but I have sm questions. First, I have almost black hair, so should I still get the 20 developer, or should I do 30? Also, was your less soft after you dyed it, and how long did the dye last? I don't want a bright red, I want more of a burgundy like yours. Thank you!
Hey girl! Thanks so much 🥰💯 I suggest 20 developer for less damage, the dye is meant for dark hair. It was a little less soft because it was processed but still very soft and shiny, it lasts for like 3 months.

@@KristinnPetty Yes!! I wish I had seen this video before I went to the hairdresser 2 weeks ago. They put bleach in my curly hair. Curls ain't poppin like they use to anymore. I was very skeptical but I went ahead with the process and now i regret it. Your hair color is beautiful. So natural with that tint of color. Healthy hair is the most important thing. I'm glad you showed your results with the 20 developer. Most people go straight to 30. The color is more vibrant but hair will definitely be more damaged.

Probably a silly question but how do I know my hair is natural color and not the last blue/black box color dye.... I honestly can’t remember when I last dyed my hair I just know it was def over 6 months ago and I dyed it blue black.... should I use an Color Oops on my hair before I dye it this magenta or am I good to just dye it as is...????? You should be good to go as is, this dye is pretty high coverage

I prefer 20 volume for no damage.. it lifts really well and it says on the dye box “for dark hair”

I’m sorry, TH-cam muted my voiceover.. about a cup for 2 boxes of dye.. if you’ve never dyed your hair before, just add a little developer at a time until the dye is the consistency of mayonnaise 👍🏼

I would honestly go to a professional or try color oops and a semi permanent dye..this dye is only for dark hair.. check out my hair playlist to see my results with color oops

Hi! I'm studying cosmetology so I know a bit about it. Is your brown side natural or is it dyed brown? If it's dyed, I suggest using a color remover first. If not, I suggest bleaching it. If you can afford it, I recommend going to a professional but if not, make sure u watch lots of videos and learn more about bleach before bleaching it. Once u get ur brown hair to about the same color as ur blonde side, (it doesn't have to be EXACT. Just as close as possible.) You can use this color on bleached hair. Just make sure you use a 10vol developer that way it opens the hair follicles and adds color to your hair rather than lightening it like 20vol, 30vol, or 40vol would do :) I'm actually about to do this color on my already bleached hair lol

Everything I showed is what I used which was 2 bottles of dye and like 1 + 3/4 cup of developer. I get it to the texture of mayo 🤗

I’ve been dying my hair forever with box dyes so I tried to get to that consistency, I just keep adding a little at a time til it gets to that mayo type texture 👌🏼

Girl! Why didn't you use 30 volume pexroxice with that hair color?? It woulda came out much more vibrant. This is a hair color for dark hair to Lyft 3 to 5 shades from your own hair color....I color my hair this brand and color is magenta! W 30 volume for best bright results!

no wonder it didn't work, you only used 2 tubes for all that hair !!!
I would have used 4-6 tubes - also you dont measure out the developer and only use 20 vol (I use 30 for a proper result/lift)
