Just got my back bumper yesterday. I called them in 10 minutes to order the front after unboxing it. I know quality when I see it. Thanks for the TH-cam!! I am painting it right now and I am glad you did this because mine did not come with install instructions.

Exactly. It’s hard to find bumpers that are different than every other brands (excluding Fab4 bumpers those are too unique lol)

Something I noticed on my ‘15 JKUR: Apparently they added the drilled holes on the right side frame rails for the right side tow hook offered by Mopar; therefore, you wouldn’t have to drill on the right side if you have a newer Jk. I think this is for all frame rails of all ‘13+ JKs since that is when the 10th Anniversary / Hard Rock Rubicons started. Mine isn’t a Hard Rock, so maybe all the frames are the same in all trims.
That’s probably the best spareless rear bumper you can get without running a frame chop bumper.

It won’t work with a factory spare tire carrier but it can with some after market ones and we are about to release one of our own very soon!

Hey man bumper looks good, quick question, how far past the tub does the bumper stick out to the side. I have EVO builder corners with no rear fenders so Wouldn’t want to much of the tube on the bumper sticking out. Thank you and keep up the great videos.
It’s practically even. Maybe goes out .25”. So it would flow great with no fenders

Paints working good so far! But I’m actually in the process of making a spray paint test video! So stick around and it should be posted in a few days or so!

Its not bad looking but I don't see a tire carrier that goes with it that attaches to the bumper so its all mounted on the frame. I don't want to be forced to go with a reinforced tire carrier that is attached to the hinges even though the JL is a lot stronger. I'm planning on getting the addictive designs rear bumper and tire carrier unless I find something better in the next month. I need something strong for my 37 copper mud terrain tire.
Ahh gottcha, well I heard something from Barnes saying they are developing JL and JK tire carriers (no idea on what style or how they mount) but I’m excited to see them. Everything I have gotten from them has been excellent quality

Two questions. 1. Will it work with the poison spyder tire cage carrier you think? And 2. If I have a body lift is it able to be raised to meet the body?
Just my opinion, but since you already are making new holes....why not just cut the frame a couple of inches to make it flush and snug to the tub. Then you can bypass worring about the tire carrier etc.
Did your bumper kit have 2 flag nuts (one for each side)? Or is there one flag nut only for passenger side?
Did you have special code from them? I’m going ti get the same bumper
Have you figured out how to mount lights to it?
It has 2 holes on the top side of the bumper. I might eventually put a small light on the passenger side, just haven’t gotten around to it
JK Gear and Gadgets the two small fixtures that you did an episode on. You mounted them to your hood. Would those work inside the bumper and took advantage of the holes in the bumper.
Just curious, I noticed the tailpipe, is that a random peace of pipe in place of the muffler? Or is it part of an aftermarket exhaust system?

Yep, I usually remember AFTER i get something in my eye. Although I won't touch a grinder without gloves. A friend, by instinct, grabbed for a falling angle grinder and grabbed the disc as it was still spinning down. Took a good chunk out of his palm. That learned me.
Yep! Grinders are the one thing that i wear protection for every time, taken chunks out of my fingers too many times lol

I like the new bumper but I run a spare tire. What brand was the old one? And are you running wheel spacers?
I think they just designed a carrier that works with this bumper! Old one was a motobilt, but it had a few flaws I didn’t like. And no wheel spacers.
If you don't mind me asking what didn't you like about your old bumper? I use the Teraflex tire mount and Hinge kit I'm not a big fan of the Swing Tire mounts. is that what they plan on doing with your new bumper using the swing tire mount?
L.T.K.F. No, they are doing a tailgate carrier. And my old bumper was heavy, and the biggest issues was the shackle mounts are welded high, each time I hit the bumper on something it would shift slightly and the tailgate would hit the mounts...
I've been contemplating going with a different bumper than my warn bumpers. I'm just concerned about them bending. Are those recovery rated? Also, I got rear ended by a full size Tacoma, and it only scratched my bumper but totaled his truck. Bad part. They are heavy as hell and hard on the engine. So what's your take?
I wouldn’t worry about this bending. Very well made. Since it ties directly into the frame in 6 spots you will be perfectly fine with recovery

I hate to say this but I am too OCD not to mention it. After it was Installed, it looked like it wasn't quite level. Looked like the passenger side was a little lower. Did you use a level to check?
It probably was 😂. However after a wheeling trip and a good smack on a rock it probably shifted it a tad

I wasn’t a fan of the cutout and how far it stuck out, this one mounts soooo much closer to the Jeep and is about 30lbs lighter.

A 3” might be a little extreme. You could always do their new frame chop rear, it will work with more carriers.
Why would you not run a spare tire on your jeep that is part of having a Jeep is the spare tire look on the back
Hard to run a 40” tire on the tailgate lol. Lots of weight that doesn’t need to be there.
It's easier to patch a 40+ inch tire on the trail than it is to replace it.

Im assuming thats your son who helped you remove bumper,next time have him put a pair of shoes on .removing a heavy metal bumper im flip flops is a good way to loose a foot.also crocs and socks,,who wears.those yuppie shower shoes,with socks no less.alaska.is one place inwill never go
