- the information I got from a forum was apparently false as the comments informed me that this is bad advice. I thank the commenters informing me of this and I apologize if anyone had any failures with their mycelium and grain spawn. I'm sorry

Bro. No flow hood or even still air box.. that’s why you have mold in the first place
Tbh I couldn't afford a flow hood
Get a bella bora S.A.B there like 60 bucks, fucc a flow hood until you get more skillfully, I use a SAB and I've been doing this for almost 13 years. Ffu's are nice for more experienced mycologist. Just sayin
@@SporeWhore661 I made a a small flow hood with some MDF into a box. A clear tub lid for a top for light to see easier. I can place a portable led light on top too for more light. I used four computer fans with a variable speed controller on the back of the box and put a Hepa Filter in front of the fans with a 4 inch space between fans and filter, I sealed it all with silicon. Only positive air pressure coming out the open front. I spray it all down, and my hands, with isopropyl before use. When running I even puff some iso spray over the running fans to sterilise any intake from them too. Only cost me about 60 bucks to make. The filter was the most expensive part, around 30 bucks. No contam since making my home made hood. Big enough for bags, agar and doing LC jars etc
@@undead4058 You can use a large tote for a SAB, costs about $10.
Please don’t listen to this. If you have trich (green mold) on anything get it out of your house asap and start over. Peroxide does NOT kill trich. You can use it to control cobweb mold but not green mold.
Thank you, some of the forums that I looked at said that it would
@@undead4058 It would be awesome if it did,I’ve been near tears in the past having to throw out projects I’ve spent so much time and effort on. Excessive peroxide will just cause a lot of mycelium mutations and aborts. Now I have seen mycelium totally consume small spots of trich in the past and it also does it in nature but if the mold starts to spread there’s no chance :/
Please update with the results, I'm pretty excited to know if it worked
Well.. this video is very interesting... I have never made it to fruiting but have just started.. I have definitely be experimenting with HP... I intend to master this and trouble shoot everything possible... Thank you..
I have used this method effectively on tubs
It'll slow the trich long enough to get a flush. HP doesn't kill trich 😂
It works sometimes for me but I suggest using food grade hydrogen peroxide. Sometimes (like a jar I have growing now) the mycelium eats the mold. Im unsure if it was/is trych.
throw the jar, make another one. not worth it to fight the molds.
@@asshoub Yep. I figured this out in the kong run
Mycelium doesn't really eat mold. It can cover it up but it's usually still there.
Between your (non) sterile technique , and the way your jars are set up , its easy to see why you are getting infection , 🧐🤔 just sayin
Ik I was a beginner
Do you have any update on what happened with this jar after the peroxide? Tia
Yes, the grain spawn is growing nicely
I have heard about this technique, but you’ll hear so many conflicting things on the forums… very cool to see it actually work! Any chance you’ll do an update video?
it only allows the myco to catch up but doesnt "kill" anything. it slows down molds but i would be very careful opening mold in the open air as well. and the fruits it could produce having been soaked in HP, because all you did was mix the mold around better. i say eek but good luck
@@legendno1 thanks
@@eagleeyes9770 yes but not now
Mmmmm hydrogen peroxide mushrooms
That is a bacterial infection not mold
Does look like that, pinkish and slimy too. He needs to make a home made flow hood and be more sterile around all his equipment and products.
Stop throwing your cakes away
?
@@undead4058 What do you do with used cakes?
@@novaenricarter705 what cakes
@@undead4058 Idk lol I'm just joking along with whatever this dude said
Yeah, OK, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
Thanks💪🏽
@Hope Beel ok I don't know what to say to that. I haven't used that seller before
@@undead4058 Its a comment bot bro
@@figger1468 damn, I got gotted
I would've deleted this. This is the kind of thing that really pisses me off, DO BETTER RESEARCH....You can seriously make someone sick as hell doing that. Sorry but damn man
Your dead right. That is not even mould, it is bacterial infection and on the end product could cause a lung infection.
Did it come back
No
with that lil jar it's a waist of time and i suggest that you go back and rethink ur entire teknique cuz you got ur dirty fingers all in the jar you got freakin polyfill for the jar filter and way way WAYYYY to much of it cuz the hole is toooooo biiiiig and probley didnt sterilize the poly fill...did you soak grains for 8-12hr? then did you boil for 10 mins? and let dry then did you PC @ 15-20lbs for 55-65mins? and let cool in the PC? did you flame sterilize the needle before knocking each jar? did you were gloves and mask and not freakin breath on all ur surfaces and use sanitizer on gloves??? my guy contams are in the air and everywhere naturally you are the biggest contam risk to youre mushies and the info you gave here is also bad advice for 1 mycelium is not resistant to peroxide that is'nt diluted it coverts it into oxygen and water but full strength does damage it even if you kill the mold the myco will be weak and never give you anything worth ur time and also when you poured the peroxide in you took the lid of the jar and let millions of dust particles and spores n crap right into the jar onto the grains that you lovingly just cleaned for more to germinate on...use ur head bro...go back to the very beginning and try again dont cut any corners at all cost no matter what.
@@Swift-cd9dd did you see what I had renamed the video
Yaaaa i dont thinks so.
That’s crazy will it kill Trichoderma?
From my research yes
Many people say it only slows it down enough for the mycelium to take over, but allowing the mycelium to become dominant is exactly what you want. There's a specific spray you can get I've seen on ebay that specifically kills trych.
No it won't
