There are no weak points in this series in my opinion. Well written and well acted by the entire cast. I highly recommend people to give this series a watch.
I disagree. I skipped very scene with Charlotte, Jonah, and Wyatt. They're ass characters, and I still understood the story perfectly 100% and could predict what was gonna happen. They're just used for filler. Ruth was ass too, but a little less.

Showing how it looks to grow up with criminal mastermind parents and shows truly how dysfunctional the family really is. As for Wyatt and Ruth they exist to show the collaboration of a family that initially had a nice American dream living in Chicago with a redneck family and shows how they aren’t so different after all. Makes sense that you think they were boring, you skipped all their scenes😭

Well it's not underrated since were already at season 3. Also S1 & S2 felt like it was a rip-off from Breaking Bad & it was hard to accept Bateman as a Dramatic Actor. S3 is pretty great & I don't have anymore reminder of Bateman being a comedy guy.

BUT... this is simply a remake of Breaking Bad without the long drawn out character and settings build up. The main characters are already deep into 'cooking' but this time cooking books and money.

This series is like someone saying “I want to rip off Breaking Bad but have the main character survive and allow the trailer park kid to die instead” terrible in the last season. Why did they even need to show an additional scene of Ben being murdered? It was good before adding the new episode showing him cry, deny, then agree and accept his death and forgive his sister. And the season starts w a terrible rollover car crash w the family in it and ends with them crawling out of the car unhurt, no concussions, and then go home and put on their tuxedos. It’s all over the place. Great acting but in the end it was soft.
Whenever I talk to someone now I always bring this up and they light up like a Christmas tree with stories about the previous episodes and how it's reminiscent of breaking bad in how a good actor is playing a badass.
This show was simply the best show on Netflix just completely and utterly loved it. I'm gutted it's finished. A massive thank you to all of the actors, actresses producers and all the people that made this master piece possible. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

For me its like Soprano which is my fave show .They both have in common that no scene is boring . Something that i havent find(cause its hard too findand im picky plus easy bored) since sopranos but now i found it in ozark .Sopranos is still my faves but that says a lot cause it was a long time ago soprano was on .

I've started to watch this series because I saw Julia Garners sci-fi film ("Everything beautiful is far away") which is a masterpiece and I wanted to see if she is really a good actress or if that film was just a lucky shot. Using the camera, the performance of the actors/actresses, the music... Everything is just perfect in this series. If you have any doubt in you just watch season 1 episode 1 and I'm pretty sure if you like quality series (which is hard to find) the final scene will make you think this series is a MUST. I'm at s1 ep 7 now. Great series!

I started watching it one day just to see how it was. A week later done the series. Crazy good show, top notch acting! Breaking Bad is my favorite show, but Ozark is either tied or very very close. If you like those shows, I'd also recommend Bad Blood and Peaky Blinders. They're both on Netflix and also share the premise of smart people who commit crimes, bite off more than they were prepared for, and have to outthink their enemies in order to survive and be successful.
Jason Bateman needs to direct “The Stand” series or a “Dark Tower” series. The Outsider, for example; His adaptation was the best TV adaptation of a King novel I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen them all.

Big fan of Jason Batemen, just started watching this show and enjoying it as expected, so far. He's such a marvelous surgical monotone actor, with quick whips at the ready, and a deep buried comedic undertone. This serves him extremely well in his natural environment of comedy movies and in serious roles as this. I'm just on episode 2 of Season 1 but must compliment the writing already. The way they portray the wife, in episode 2, speaking highly of her dead lover. Reflecting the reality of how completely disconnected she is, not only of being unfaithful, but glossing over the fact, he chose to save her life. If that's not a woman for ya, I don't know what is. Justifying their actions, fueled by selfish emotions and spitting in the face leniency, as if their actions never should've been judged in the first place. I've not been on the side of Jason's character, but the other guy. I've had to end several such creep creep relationships, as I couldn't even stand the self-righteousness, of the women.

so did a two day binge watch of Ozark. I personally think the show is excellent. They make the setting somewhere in MIssouri, but there as soooo many picts of lake lanier from the air, that there is not mistake that its here. Also, pretty amazing how they contrasted the corruptness of a mexican drug cartel with a homegrown hillbilly crime syndicate, this is where the comparisons between this show and Breaking Bad fail. This is more like combining Breaking Bad with Justified, both shows were brilliant. There were also criticisms of Jason Bateman, who directed and acted, saying his character was stale and unemotional, however, you have to watch the show all the way through. I thought he played it well: a man under unbelievable duress who had to shut down all his emotions Laura Linney is amazing and so is a bright upstart by the name of Julia Garner. The FBI agent played by Jason Butler Harner blew me away, this guy is amazing. The show is multifaceted, and there are just so many scenes that leave you slack jawed, wondering "Did that just happen?!!!" Really some amazing stuff and cudos to the writing staff. I loved it. Watch it all the way through.

A show so good it plays out in your mind years after you watch it. That's what good TV is all about
It's not great though, the writing is average like a john Grisham novel and Bateman is totally unconvincing in this role

I started watching it one day just to see how it was. A week later done the series. Crazy good show, top notch acting! Jason Bateman in this the way he acts deserves alot of credit, I've only ever seen him in comedys. I wish there were more of this show. Seriously.

I can confirm this is my favourite series since Breaking Bad finished. Up there with Better Call Saul.
Breaking Bad is my favorite show, but Ozark is either tied or very very close.
If you like those shows, I'd also recommend Bad Blood and Peaky Blinders. They're both on Netflix and also share the premise of smart people who commit crimes, bite off more than they were prepared for, and have to outthink their enemies in order to survive and be successful.

Jason Bateman needs to direct “The Stand” series or a “Dark Tower” series. The Outsider, for example; His adaptation was the best TV adaptation of a King novel I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen them all.

Big fan of Jason Batemen, just started watching this show and enjoying it as expected, so far. He's such a marvelous surgical monotone actor, with quick whips at the ready, and a deep buried comedic undertone. This serves him extremely well in his natural environment of comedy movies and in serious roles as this. I'm just on episode 2 of Season 1 but must compliment the writing already. The way they portray the wife, in episode 2, speaking highly of her dead lover. Reflecting the reality of how completely disconnected she is, not only of being unfaithful, but glossing over the fact, he chose to save her life. If that's not a woman for ya, I don't know what is. Justifying their actions, fueled by selfish emotions and spitting in the face leniency, as if their actions never should've been judged in the first place. I've not been on the side of Jason's character, but the other guy. I've had to end several such creep creep relationships, as I couldn't even stand the self-righteousness, of the women.
First time I see Jason Bateman as a serious business man.

Breaking bad
It isn’t as good as Dexter, Breaking Bad or Walking Dead. I’m almost finished with season 1 and I have yet to be drawn in by any character in ozark as I have on the other 3 shows. Maybe it takes several seasons with this series to get to that level?

I've lived in the Midwest all my life and LOVE Breaking Bad, THE #1 show of all time. Right in the middle of Ozark and it has been great so far!

so did a two day binge watch of Ozark. I personally think the show is excellent. They make the setting somewhere in MIssouri, but there as soooo many picts of lake lanier from the air, that there is not mistake that its here. Also, pretty amazing how they contrasted the corruptness of a mexican drug cartel with a homegrown hillbilly crime syndicate, this is where the comparisons between this show and Breaking Bad fail. This is more like combining Breaking Bad with Justified, both shows were brilliant. There were also criticisms of Jason Bateman, who directed and acted, saying his character was stale and unemotional, however, you have to watch the show all the way through. I thought he played it well: a man under unbelievable duress who had to shut down all his emotions Laura Linney is amazing and so is a bright upstart by the name of Julia Garner. The FBI agent played by Jason Butler Harner blew me away, this guy is amazing. The show is multifaceted, and there are just so many scenes that leave you slack jawed, wondering "Did that just happen?!!!" Really some amazing stuff and cudos to the writing staff. I loved it. Watch it all the way through.
