Those 5.4s are absolute beasts under boost. Here in the states there are many 2007-2012 gt500 mustangs making 1000hp+. None of them hold a candle to that green monster in the looks department though.

It'd have to be worth $40+ now... It was such a bullshit clean car inside and out. It got stolen after I fitted a tough C.O.M.E Racing Holden based 383... 😡
Sweet Car! In the states the 5.4 4v (300 HP) was only available in the 03-06 Lincoln Navigator, a 6000lb SUV. And the (385 HP) 2001 SVT Mustang Cobra R. Most 5.4s over here are built and boosted 2v. Either 2, 3, or 4 valve 5.4s all sound kinda uniquely good IMO with its super long stroke.
Always love the BOSS motor Luke. People don't realize that the BOSS 260 was the basis for the American Ford GT's supercharged motor and they have boosted them to 2000hp and go from 0-300mph in a mile. 😎👍

Maybe you're a bit bored of it or whatever, if so stick it in a shed and pull it out in a few years. You've made something special there. And not only will you miss it, it'll break your heart if some idiot gets it and ruins it.
You're not the first to say that. I love this car and I'm definitely not bored of it. I haven't driven it much over the last few years and the only reason I'd sell it is to help fund buying a house. I understand I'll regret it and I'll never find another one like it but sometimes you have to sacrifice your toys to make way for other things.

And if I still had the GT and sold it now I could have paid cash for that house lol You're right tho, you can't live in a car no matter how fast it is.

Yeah mate I swapped to a bf bumper but copped a bit criticism for it so I've gone back to original ba. I run bf tail lights but no chance I'll be changing them back
its running 11s and at 118 and u think its nothing? I got to watching a bunch of Falcon videos.... I just watched one and thought it had to be 8th mile and speeds were KPH? Nope... damn fast cars! Wished we had the chance. Love that green its a great looking car.
That's a really, really clean XR-8... Love the factory wheels and a usable stance- although it's an XR-8, it gives it a bit of a sleeper vibe (as sleeper as an XR-8 can be- it LOOKS stock), but it"s got enough power to embarrass most things on the street. Would be a blast to drive, manual and 417rwhp. What's not to love

I did order a new one from Ford but got sent a 6cyl one. After sending it back the dealer realised they had no v8 ones left. I'll track a genuine v8 tank down eventually

Some people cant understand the concept there are really 2 displacements, internal and external. While a 5.4 is slightly smaller than a LS1 internally, externally is where is massively loses the plot
If/when someone such as myself (who is a relative noob when it comes to the 5.4) is looking to buy a used XR8 (either B series or FG) what issues should one watch out for? For e.g. LS engines at some point need the lifters done. Is there any comparable overhaul issues that the BOSS engines need as they age? TIA
@@Fletch889 saw a rear mount turbo on a 5.4 at Joe’s Diner last week up here was a bit like swincys setup but they cut the boot floor out and had a false floor so you could see it all with the boot open

My Barra... in is perfect tune for a work ute.... one day. .I will turbo the fuck out of it. And probably blow it.. Because the crank. Couldn't handle the forged.pistons and 30lbs boost
