Regarding “serious newcomers” we mean someone that wants to dive deep into the hobby and can financially afford it. Some guys may want to just try crawling on a budget and we recommend a 24th scale for that. This is a good platform to customize (spend more money on) but performs really well out of the box too. Regarding the Spam: we took care of it. Someone made a fake account using our avatar but a very different name, and not verified. Phishing for private information. We zapped them 👍😎⚓️

The start of the video was a bit like a commercial/infomercial imho, but things got better after that :-) Nice crawler, and one that even made it up Bash Mountain! Love the point-of-view shot; more of that please. This model would really benefit from a light-kit.

Often, for me anyways, simple is better. I like the simple looks of this crawler and you guys showed that it can perform. Abby, you deserve two medals... one for making it to the top of bash mountain and a second more precious one for not quitting.
That is sort of how I felt too. When I realized they were going after the TRX4 Sport market directly, we got even more excited. Great rig. Love it’s capabilities in the real crawling world 👍😎⚓️
Now that you mention it, I put some thought into the body standoffs. I think the main reason they didn’t hide them is so people can MUCH more easily swap other bodies out. This rig is RTR but designed to be customizable and if it didn’t have those stand-off posts, it would be a challenge to get bodies on this. Just my two cents ⚓️

Another awesome video you guys! Did they seriously put the primary battery mounting location in the back of the vehicle? That goes against most conventional crawling wisdom. You need that battery toward the front whenever you can for most situations.
Yes, they did, but clearly it worked though. Full throttle and full steering and it didn’t roll. Plus it made it up bash mountain which is a seriously steep incline. Incredible performance!

You’d be massively surprised about her shoes. They have memory foam in them and no need to tie. She says very comfortable. Paid $19.99 for them at Walmart! I also got a new grey pair and paid $9.99 for mine! 💯👍😁😎⚓️

Just watched west desert wheelers review of this truck and it looked like it had a great drag brake, is there different options for this truck? Or possibly just needs programmed from the esc?

I love the body.l and how it looks. The pickup truck is a lot different than most things Axial has. Plus the body mounts being exposed make it easily customizable with other body styles which is great for newcomers wanting to do a custom body!
Looks cool but I dunno for 389 bucks. I guess that's in the ballpark of other rtr crawlers. I still think for that price I'd pick up a elememt ecto or something with a nicer looking body. Body looks really cheap.

Quality content as always! Gonna be honest though: I feel like they wasted a lot of money on licensing here. Assuming they were trying to compete with the TRX-4 Sport (which seems to be the general assumption), why do things that cost more? The "licensed" bumper looks literally like any other bumper (same deal with the tires), but they're wasting money on licensing? I don't get it lol that point aside, the truck seems good, just not sure why they went that route. I would be interested how one of these compared to an RGT vehicle, as I feel like they would stack fairly evenly against the $200 RGT models like the EX86100, and potentially do worse than the same-priced ones 🤔
Good point! My guess is, and I know this sounds crazy, but sometimes people WANT to pay more. They assume, well I am paying more, so obviously I’m getting a better product. If you don’t want to research a lot, I truly believe that MOST people shop this way.

I agree with you. A lot of channels are straight up trying to sell this rig and others. But that doesn’t mean all channels do that. We talked about things we didn’t like in this video. We also show things that we’ve gotten for free blowing up, literally. Just be careful who you watch. Not all have the best morals.

Usually bashers with a lot of speed make it up. Normally the crawlers start slipping and either slide backwards or roll over.

Tinted windows like on the 1955 ford f100 is better than the silver windows.

Quality content as always! Gonna be honest though: I feel like they wasted a lot of money on licensing here. Assuming they were trying to compete with the TRX-4 Sport (which seems to be the general assumption), why do things that cost more? The "licensed" bumper looks literally like any other bumper (same deal with the tires), but they're wasting money on licensing? I don't get it lol that point aside, the truck seems good, just not sure why they went that route. I would be interested how one of these compared to an RGT vehicle, as I feel like they would stack fairly evenly against the $200 RGT models like the EX86100, and potentially do worse than the same-priced ones 🤔
Good point! My guess is, and I know this sounds crazy, but sometimes people WANT to pay more. They assume, well I am paying more, so obviously I’m getting a better product. If you don’t want to research a lot, I truly believe that MOST people shop this way.

I agree with you. A lot of channels are straight up trying to sell this rig and others. But that doesn’t mean all channels do that. We talked about things we didn’t like in this video. We also show things that we’ve gotten for free blowing up, literally. Just be careful who you watch. Not all have the best morals.
