I get this issue with the side windows and just responded to a post made by several owners of the Tucson why the windows aren’t clearing when lowered down and up!! This was my response… Glad I found this!! I have the same issue on the 2023 model which is certainly a defect and a dangerous one at that!! It causes blind spots! When dirty or heavy rain it’s impossible to see, especially when reversing!! This should be brought to attention of Hyundai … It’s obviously a rubber seal issue as it does not make contact with windows!!
Just bought the new tuscon nline s in shadow grey .Beautiful car but god the beeping every time u go 1 mile over limit was so annoying thank god u can turn it off and lane assist does my head in. Got to turn both off every time u get in car. Apart from that love it
Nice detailed video, good to see reference the previous gen interior for comparison. Would have liked to see more of the ambient interior lighting feature thou. Light
Wow first time watching one of your reviews and it is fantastic quality, information, precise comparisons I can really understand and relate! Thank you! Subscribed!
No rear ac vents for all but the top trims (n line s and ultimate). Sportage has 3 zone climate control in all hybrid trims (default on gt line s) and at least rear vents in all trims. You missed this main point! You buy this kind of car with a family so rear vents will be important to most families.
I've been shopping around , some had boots too deep , others had poor mpg or only 3 cylinders.....autos and diesels very pricey , and then I found the Tucson 👍
Bought the N Line S Phev AWD. Overall finding it easy to drive and comfortable. The only thing I was not ready for was the autobraking safety system. I found the safety braking aggressive both normal driving and reversing. Used to find the same safety system in my Audi A4 Avant annoying at times and this one is more sensative. There may be an option to tone it down.
According to the RAC "While it’s not currently mandated that cars sold in the UK have to be fitted with Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) systems, we’d be surprised if manufacturers deliberately excluded the feature from those they sell in the UK as it would add unnecessary cost to production." I wish they'd lift the indicators up from bumper level
@@davel9359 missed opportunity to make it look more expensive! Thing is though regulations are different in different countries so could be a way of keeping costs down and keeping it universal also
@@ItsDanLatham I’ve seen it mentioned that they’re like this in Korea, so haven’t modified them. Also seen a couple of guys who have modded theirs: one is a proper Heath Robinson lash up and the other utilises towbar wiring. If we keep ours I may do the latter, currently deciding if we go for the facelift or keep our Ultimate HEV.
I test drove an Ultimate auto. Very good and certainly all the bells and whistles on it. I then went to Mazda and tried the CX30. Not quite as high - riding but a much more dynamic ride and looks nicer too. Mazda's 6 speed auto was decisive too. Tried their Takumi top trim. No ventilated seats or ambient lighting, but UK summers hardly warrant the former and I figure I'd be bored of the glitzy lighting after a month. The day to day better ride of the Mazda is edging it.
@@Markthismomentintime I’ve yet to do a full review of one but keep hearing good things about the Mazda and my limited time in one has been really positive so the comparison is insightful! I’m in a qashqai this week and it doesn’t handle anywhere near as well as the Tucson or the Mazda.
@@ItsDanLatham It's a very crowded market, the suv segment. Another plus for the Tucson is the huge boot. It's about 10cm longer than the Mazda CX30, which yields just 430 litres. It's horses for courses again, we rarely need 600 litres + but for larger families, it's streets ahead. Perhaps I should be comparing the CX30 with a Kona?
Test drove one for around 45 mins today. Was very nice , think i preferred the Kuga drive but will do a longer one to confirm as that was 15 mins last week. The colour options are a bit bland in the Tucson.
@@sbashir9460 definitely brighter options on the Kuga - and I agree RE the drive being better on the Kuga. I think overall though living with the Tucson would be nicer day to day, the tech and the interior is just a different level
@@ItsDanLatham Ended up going Ford. Had a 45 mins drive today , so much more involving than the Tucson and it still has the same equipment overall. Got what seems a great deal so will go for it. Thanks again for the reviews!

Agree re the rear indicators , it’s a common gripe and missed opportunity. Even some MG’s have them in the cluster.

Yes!

New dash looks awful compared to the previous one.

Different segments. Civic’s are quite costly now and the Honda interest rate are sky high.
My civic advance was cheaper than a Tucson
The Honda is certainly much better but I suppose people will want the SUV format... The new Civic is good but overpriced when new...
You compare a sedan to an SUV?
