You didn't specifically mention it, but in the footage you're popping the anti-role bubbles in pairs. I assume that's required to split the damage? Great guide though! Looking forward to seeing phase 2 :)
It’s great to see guides explaining what mechanic do to better understand why they need to be resolved. Your guide is straightforward and simple, you explain everything clearly in shorter time than many lengthy guides out there.
I watched MTQ, Xenos and Hector's guides and while all fairly good (I especially like Hector's approach, loved it for P2S/P3S) but this one is most concise and the graphics are very nice and informative for a quick refresh too. Hope this week's productive for my PF shenanigans in learning this fight. Thanks.
I guess my Pinax differes a little bit from PF, PF always drags the boss to Fire/Lightning while we always just pulled him South. Now our group pulls him to Fire/Lightning aswell, as its a little easier for some patterns! Thank you ! ❤
@@AqB thanks. My hope is hat Hesperos will be less taxing for my nerves since each singular fight seems to be shorter than fighting phoinix until his enrage.
For the orbs we are doing a strat where the DPS don't care about what "acting as" debuff they get, it's just always a ranged paired with a melee in static positions. There's no difference in the damage they take and it just works for some reason, so dps don't even have to look at their debuffs. We also pair 1 tank with 1 healer so every dps always takes 1 tank orb and 1 healer orb to cleanse their debuffs. I think this is maybe a bug but it makes the mechanic much easier and melee never have to disengage to pop an orb if both melees get the same acting as debuff.
In the video they only get him to 52% visually, but the audio says to get him to "49.9%". Is it from a video cut, or is the dps check actually slightly smaller(like 55%)?
My problem is, I received bloodrake 2 times, so what should i do? First one can't take the Line and Second one can't take the illness....... So I just need to wait for my party to take the line and the illness from me???
Yes! If you get bloodraked twice you are really lucky and can just chill out! Lets assume you are DPS and get bloodraked twice in a row, you simply stack all DPS behind the boss, let the tank and healer get it from you and keep waiting there for them to take the tether afterwards. Getting bloodraked twice is what we call a Jackpot ;D
Its basically 8 different macros for every specific player so I can Icarus them whenever I panic. its: /micon "Icarus" /merror off /ac "Icarus" for Partymember 2 then , , and so on :D
Oh christ, i was thinking about it aswell, but ultimates are very individual and i would need to understand every single jobs position completely... plus there a a million different strats for them. I am concidering trying it when Dragonsong hits, but I cannot promise anything :D
@@dawoudread1405 Yeah LPDU (Light - PartyFinder - Does - Ultimates) is a discord server that is like a collection of strats for ultimates that people on Light are using. You can also search for statics there its pretty nice!
I think I said that Jobs can get targeted twice in a row, having the opposite role mandatory to do both mechanics, but yes you are right it does not fit that well :D
The bubble phase still confuse me... You have tha "acting as DSP" debuff and soak with the other healer two bubbles who have a crossed out sword which means " For the love of god, no DPS!" So why are you surviving this?
because the orbs tether to the closest person, so if everyone is in position every orb will always be the same. as for why you survive that is simple. you get an "acting as tank" debuff, which means you'll be acting as the tank in that scenario, so you take the orb with an tank symbol. Same for DPS who get "acting as healer" debuff and take the healer orbs, you're acting as the healer in that scenario. the damage at that point is lowered depending on role and for that moment with that debuff you're the healer role (only technically, obviously your healing won't skyrocket, same for acting as tank, you'll be acting as a tank but you won't get crazy defensive capabilities) Kinda like the bloodrake mechanic, it doesn't exactly tell you what your role is, but when you get the 1st bloodrake, you don't take the 1st tether, but if you don't get the 2nd bloodrake you take the rot, just a minor detail that'll either determine you live or you die. (or atleast you take survivable damage or lethal damage)

Oh you are right!!! Let me Pin that comment for everyone!

This is by far the best explained guide I found!! Thank you and well done!

Appreciate your guides mate, concise and way better than anything else!
Glad you like them! I do the best I can :D
thank you so much!!! I learn more when someone is talking and explaining than just reading.
this is very helpful :)
Thanks! Same for me, I just wish I could have been faster :D
Great guide, but the double negatives in explaining bloodrake and towers is very easily confusing.
Probably the best guide for P4S Part 1 out there has all the up time strategy's appreciate that.

@@AqB I found the strat ty for the tip appreciate it
This one looks mad. I will try this out with my static soon.
finally here. Phoinix almost broke me

The defuff icon for illness immunity is an antibody, and I think that's neat
Hahaha i didn’t know that, how nice
Thank you for your guides, really easy to understand

Really nice guide, keep it up!
Thank you for the video, it's very useful!
These guides are really good! Cheers

I be damn, thank God for this guide. I can barely make sense on alot of the guide on this teather and buff swapping mechanic.
❤
Great guide, as always 👍 Hopefully I can clear this week.
Thank you, waiting for part 2.
As soon as possible!

Man, I love your gshade, any chance you can share? I loved your vids for our prog! Helped us loads!

WHAT IS PINAX!?`
Umm I cant tell if its sarcasm or nah, but its the whole 4 element Tile phase :D in case it was sarcastic: Pinax is memerino :D
