    For folks that live 2-10 miles of dirt or worse roads off the beaten path, this is a go-to truck. You’re getting in and out in nearly any road condition!

      @@TheSquiggyacfd 16-17mpg on highway for me, but in town it's dismal ~11mpg. New so not fully broken in (1400miles).

    i absolutly love my AEV Prospector Power Wagon. I use it to take my 25" 10,000lbs toy hauler trailerwith 3 450 quads in off road beach sand ans dune sand. lockers are awesome. Pulls hard all 4 wheels. true 4x4. The original 4x4 truck.

    Took both out for a weekend. The rebel is hard to beat. Its literally a car like feel in a very capable truck. The PW is stiffer and comes with a ton more options. Boil it all down in my case, I needed the 1 more extra seat. Wish the Rebel had a bench option, front and rear locker and disconnecting front sway. Would have gone Rebel without blinking.

    Most people don’t use their HD trucks as intended. Sacrificing payload and towing for off road is a smart move. It more fun to hit the trails than head to Home Depot to get over 4,000 lb’s of Quickrete 😂

    PW is a 3/4 Raptor. I would argue this model is more inline with the previous gen. If TRX comes true then this gen Raptor will have a real competitor. GM has a off road setup at every level in trucks. If I'm not mistaken the new srw 3500 can be option with a off road package. I read Ford may bring a something in this hd segment.

    Air suspension would unfortunately limit articulation unless they designed a new, custom setup for the power wagon.

    how to sum up the Power Wagon its a American Pick Up trying to be like an Australian UTE. as for towing it may not be as much at the other RAM models but here in Australia its pushing it any more and you need a truck license Max GVM with a car here is 4,500kg(9,920ib) load or 9,000kg(19,841ib) with a trailer. as a farmer needing to tow heavy shit in from town i would buy one the problem is we had to fix our tractors again (that's what we get for buying a New Holland tractor) and we have don't have much money left.

    I have never driven a truck with the 6.4 but the numbers are only marginally better that the 5.7

      I have a hard time keep my foot out of it to know if it gets good gas mileage..My 2012 got good gas mileage until I bored and stroked it to a 6.7 liter. Now I have a 2018 PW and towing a 27 footer it gets about 12 to 13 mpg. But it is hard keeping your foot out of it.

    2015 96,000 miles transmission and differential both took a shit! Only went off road a few times to see what kind of trails it could take, did good! Only pull my camper with it like once or twice a year! Made in Mexico, what’s the catch DODGE/RAM?

    So based on the description you gave regarding the sensor placement... does it actually have radar / adaptive cruise control? That would be a big selling point for me.

      guy proulx, when you spend hours upon hours in your truck and do over 30,000 miles a year the luxury is nice. It may be an off road vehicle, but I didn’t buy it to drive a spartan stripped out truck.

    I so wanted one of these until I heard the payload and how capability, or lack there of. What's the point of getting a 2500 and rigid frame if it can't how as much as a 1500? Because the rebel is so weak in the 1500 compared to regular 1500s. I don't get why the off capabilities make u trade off the haul how capabilities? I mean wouldn't it better to get the 1000ft lb torgue model 2500 and just swap out wheels, tires, lift, bumper, grill, and add a winch? Cause basically it's all about the looks for off roaring. I mean who's actually doing so much the need to unlock the sways and that independent suspension?

      No, TaRD sucks. I owned one for 8 months. Plagued with shifting problems and vibrations. I only got 14.5 MPG. I sold it for a Rubicon 2 years ago. Power wagon is a Rubicon on steroids. Check out AEV dodges. You’ll fall in love.

    I have a 2018 and 'm just not a fan of the 2019. I dont care for the lights up front. Plus the cheap plastic overhang for the rear parking sensors. The dial shift and among several other things. I do like the synthetic rope for the winch! They do need to make this thing in a diesel! Get rid of the winch and not many people would care about the weight. Most consumers would buy this up like hot cakes if you added the 6.7 with front and rear lockers.

    I don't think the part about the Power Wagon not having rear wheel drive and being full time 4WD is correct. Other videos that show the transfer case show 4H 4L and 2H on the manual lever. You can see it fairly clearly on this video: th-cam.com/video/rh39JTVJMYo/w-d-xo.html

    Get a 2500 tradesman with a power wagon package for 45k instead of a 60k power wagon. Also GMC is making a 2020 AT4 Sierra 2500 which should come close to the power wagon

      I'd skip the expensive power wagon. Like you, I'd either get a cheap and capable off road tool that I won't regret throwing into mud or banging against rock, or a luxury and comfy truck that can tow.

      @@BoopSnoot that's the point. Its the 2500 frame with throwaway trim. It's an offroad vehicle. Get an actual power wagon if you're using it as a mall crawler and hitting a trail once or twice a year

    This Ram is fantastic off road and comparable to Fords Raptor but the Power Wag handles better, has a way nicer interior and is easier to drive without getting whiplash.
    Hands down like my Ram bighorn 1500 , the best trucks on the road now.
    Sorry Ford but your in the rear view mirror camera now.

    For the cost (67k) for this, I would go with the Tundra TRD Pro and get Toyota reliability for about the same payload and towing ability, for over 10k less, albeit with less options.

      Actually there was a last 2018 model in salsa red for $48k on the lot. I would have snapped it up but I am being patient for the 2021 redesign. Now, if at the end of 2020 I see that what Toyota has is a stinker and another mild refresh I'll be done with them and go with Ram 2500.

      Alan Bowers I understand that one is a 1/2 ton and one is a 3/4 ton but both are off road focused with similar capabilities with similar power levels. It’s just that the tundra isn’t as plush or nearly as expensive.

      Brian Winkler not sure the capabilities are similar. Power Wagon has front and rear solid axles, locking diffs on both, disconnect able sway bar, different geometry compared to the standard truck along with that 12k winch. Tundra is a mild lift and shocks.

      It is a significant issue indeed- yet it does have adjustable pedals. Also if I am not mistaken no trucks or suv with full solid axle in front have telescoping steering column( F250/350, Jeep gladiator etc.)
      I wish it would be available though

    Considering that for most owners it's going to spend 95% of it's life on-road it doesn't really make much sense. Cool truck though.

      Not my first choice but for towing and boondocking in BLM land this would fit the bill sort of. It's unfortunate the payload is skimpy though. By the time you get a family of four & trailer hitch weight and maybe a generator in the back with extra fuel your done.

      Wrong about what? If your payload for a 2018 is 1466lbs according to it's web page let's do the math.
      Let's assume( since I don't know your trailer so I'll take an Airstream) a 27' trailer has tongue weight of 790lbs. But we all know most times if taken to a scale it's more depending if it's a classic or newer model. In real world it's probably closer to 1,000. But let's go with published specs of 790.
      How much do you weigh? I'm 240, wife ads another 130, my two kids ads another 200 with a total of 570 lbs along with a 50lb boxer dog 630 inside the car.
      Add two 2019 Yamaha TW200 at wet rate of 270lbs apiece for a total of 540lbs.
      People + motorcycle=1170 lbs
      Trailer tongue weight of 790 lbs
      Total 1960 lbs
      In this hypothetical case I'd be over by 494 lbs not counting auxiliary gas tanks, helmets, fishing gear, whether or not your trailer is 100% empty etc.
      I KNOW the truck is capable of doing more than specs but for insurance purposes I hope to never be on the wrong side of MFG recommend specs when it comes to a vehicle "incident".

      @Ben Tackett what people don't know about military diesels os they don't have to meet epa standards and the diesel engines they use is set up to burn any type of oil or diesel. they are not the same as the diesel that we have

    STOPPING IS LIKE THE BRAKES ARE WET WITHOUT THE LOAD, NEEDS HYDROBOOST BRAKES!
    CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT IS ON THE HORIZON FOR WRONG BRAKE SYSTEM!!!!

      @@TheTeeDay well if you knew anything about the PW you would know that they can't make them in a diesel. No place to mount the intercooler. Besides not everybody wants a diesel when the 392 will do the job just fine. With the break down rate the new Cummins is having I sure as shit would not want one.

      @@rxonmymind8362 Not sure, the 3 liter diesel makes 240 hp and 420 torque. The 2500 is a heavy truck.

    Air ride? In a Power Wagon? Why would you suggest they try that? It would be worthless. It would completely over stretch the airbags when sway bars disconnected and limit suspension travel. Total waste for a true off-road vehicle.
