remember, there are almost always two versions of the ost, one is the calm version, and the combat version. calm means there are no enemys, and combat version plays when enemys appear.
7:45 Hakita is so good with giving off this feeling! For sure mate, it honestly annoys me a little when people react to music and just say that sort of stuff 😂 I guess I'm fortunate enough to be able to have a bit of knowledge so I can explain things (even if I get it wrong from time to time)
While people are mentioning the calm and combat mixes for songs, there’s also a lot of motifs that get used between songs, which has already been shown in this video with “Into the Fire” + “Cerberus” and “A Thousand Greetings” + “A Shattered Illusion”, but there are also ones that get used farther apart from each other song wise later on.
As an ULTRAKILL fan, This is the first video I'm watching of yours. The intro had me intrigued, but your reactions to the music pulled me in! Good video! Consider me subbed! You are spot on with the uncertainty with a thousand greetings! It’s the first proper step into hell, coming from the entrance in hell. It is all peaceful initially, but soon you realize that the grass, trees, and even bird chirps are simulated. A lie.
really nice video! I enjoyed the detailed deconstruction of the ost (also the drums in basically all of the songs is the amen break, its a popular drum sample thats basically an omnipresent motif for this ost), but your voice could use a little mixing at some parts as its hard to decipher what your saying in some parts. Besides that, love the vid, and all im saying is your wish for the requiem motif to be explored could be fufilled in the near future, who knows 👀
Me neither! I wasn't initially planning on it however this video has done better than I expected so if enough people would want me to play it I'd definitely consider it!
Just want to mention that almost all of these tracks feed into each other, making pretty seamless transitions which is why during tracks like Versus at 16:54 the song will become much different, because it is a segway into the next song. I think that sometimes it is really important for certain tracks, for me personally Chord of the Crooked saint and Altars of Apostasy the latter of which is my favorite song in the game. Just thought I’d mention it. Edit it’s at 16:30 not 16:54 my bad
I can see why you put it on F, but I kinda like the destroyed senses song. In game the whole level is burning down so it's supposed to represent the whole level literally being destroyed. It's an artist piece, but actual enjoyment of it is an aquired taste.
Yeah I appreciate that, for game context reasons I would've assumed it would be quite fitting however I rank the tracks mainly on how much I like them and how enjoyable they are to listen too.
7:50 you guessed it perfectly, it is so different coming from fighting 2 huge stone guys guarding the mouth of hell in Cerberus, to you being in what appears to be a paradise, but you realize that the paradise is fake, the trees are plastic, the views are on screens, and the bird noises are played from speakers hidden behind trees

DEATH ODYSSEY APPROACHES (in a while probably)
LETS GOOO, (also are you gonna continue the series after the last two layers and P-3 release?)
You are spot on with the uncertainty with a thousand greetings! It’s the first proper step into hell, coming from the entrance in hell. It is all peaceful initially, but soon you realize that the grass, trees, and even bird chirps are simulated. A lie.
I actually like ACAUDOTS (a complete and utter destruction of the senses), just if they got rid of the fork scraping against the plate
really nice video!
7:53 And that is true, it is meant to hive a feeling of uncertainty. That’s because *You are not safe*
The foreshadowing on Requiem is crazy
I already cant wait for episode 2
Ps. I hope you play ultrakill too after calamity
Me neither!
I wasn't initially planning on it however this video has done better than I expected so if enough people would want me to play it I'd definitely consider it!
we have to manifest this guy into playing ultrakill now
Just want to mention that almost all of these tracks feed into each other, making pretty seamless transitions which is why during tracks like Versus at 16:54 the song will become much different, because it is a segway
into the next song. I think that sometimes it is really important for certain tracks, for me personally Chord of the Crooked saint and Altars of Apostasy the latter of which is my favorite song in the game. Just thought I’d mention it.
Edit it’s at 16:30 not 16:54 my bad
the context of "in the precense of a king" is that you are fighting with a gigant corpse, and it complements with the sounds of the around
20:50 the song is like a heart attack even the levels name is sheer heart attack
If you'd play ULTRAKILL, you would understand why "a complete and utter destruction of the senses" would be like that.
Bro is not prepared for the Keygen Church stuff
I love how he says that in versus the story isn't concluded. In the game v2 (the guy you fight when versus plays) runs away
