no i did the exact same thing, i considered him to be the most honest character because nothing ever was personal to him. not in the slightest. i didn’t stop to think that that WAS what made him so psychotic.

It's just a thing they do. Many of them refuse to watch or engage in things just because they're popular and too many people talk about it. It's a fucking atrocious way to live in my opinion. In someone like Pat's case, i believe they do it to stand out and look edgy or cool or whatever. But the "just kidding" never comes.

To answer the question about if AMC had anything to do with this movie.
No, AMC had nothing to do with el camino and AMC did not even make breaking bad. Sony owns breaking bad and they hired a production company to produce it. Sony sold broadcasting rights to AMC in order for it to be on TV.
For el camino sony and the same production company made it. Sony sold the distribution rights to netflix.
AMC still have rights to El Camino for TV, they broadcast it after Netflix

Jordan Drake Breaking Bad is owned by Sony but was produced by both Sony Pictures TV as well as two more production companies which are High Bridge Entertainment and Gran Via Productions. So Sony did also make it, it didn’t just distribute it.

The beginning of this movie with the long stretch of road, police moving past you, and you having to drive up a ways and then turn right quickly reminded me exactly of the beginning of GTA5 story mode when you have to escape from that place you just robbed.

He distracts people and starts talking about irrelevant stuff or he keeps talking about a subject that's long gone. He does it so much in Parks and Rec reactions, DBZA, DBS etc. while it isn't as distracting in DBS because it's mostly action... in Parks it's super annoying because they miss a lot of jokes because of it.

One of my favorite movies this year
The actor that plays Todd plays the most lovable loser in Friday Night Lights. Not a psycho at all and so likable. You have to watch FNL if you haven’t seen it yet. You don’t even have to like football. That’s just the backdrop for an amazing show about families in Texas

my take on Todd in this movie is that he feels guilty for what is happening to jesse as he is partially responsible for it in the first place, but he is in a place where he cant really do anything about it, he's not the one in charge, his uncle is and he seems to really respect (or fear) his uncle and wouldn't go against him, and he's not really the kind of person to be comforting or good at social interaction.
I really don't think he feels guilty at all. He hasn't shown any remorse ever, about anything. He shot Jesse's girlfriend right.in front of him to send a message of punishment. Yes, kept Jesse alive when Uncle Jack wanted him dead, but I think that was more to please Lydia with her demands about the quality.
He exploited him quite directly for over a year, fed Jack's gang with the info on Jesse's weaknesses and made sure to keep a photo nearby to remind Jesse of his place as... property.
For what we've seen, he treated Jesse pretty much like a dog he forgot to wash. And while he showed some sort of "kindness" to him, (and he probably even *believed* they were somehow sort of "friends") he probably truly didn't seem to understand why Jesse would feel the need of escaping at all! As if he doesn't concieve of him really being a person, or having a will of his own.
He stragled his aparently liked housekeeper, who he had known for years, "just in case", without *any* remorse or even basic human respect.
And he did threaten to send Jesse "to see the little boy" that very day. I believe Todd doesn't exactly have actual malice towards Jesse, or anyone, but he doesn't *care* about him. At all. Not like a person would.
I think he sees Jesse more like a pet. A pet he *might* have become attached to, and felt some sympathy for... but not a human being, with any rights of fellings.
Varely more than a thing he kept, just like that tarantula.
To think breaking bad was Aaron Paul's first acting role
