I love the scene with Walt. Him showing genuine care for Jesse more so than his own parents while simultaneously thinking so low of him he forget that Jesse graduated high school. I think it sums up their relationship perfectly
And it sums up Jesse and walts relationship in the last line with Walt saying he’s lucky that’s he could do something special and such a young age it shows Walt really feels like running a criminal drug business is something admirable and that he thinks Jesse should be thankful of the opportunity he’s been giving meanwhile Jesse looks at him with the look of confusion because he understands what they’re doing is wrong
"I feel like this was just to give us peace of mind. Like, 'Do you wanna know if Jesse's aiight? ...he's aiight."
Real talk, that's the best description I've heard anyone give about this movie.

When I saw the scene with Jesse in the trunk with the old way, I thought it was meant to represent that in a way, Jesse is dead (or dying) both mentally and emotionally. And when Walt saves him and Jesse went to Alaska, it was like he was resurrected.

Anyone else get the vibe there was more to Jesse and the welder guy? I kept waiting for a scene showing he raped Jesse or something. I’m happy they didn’t write that, but I was expecting it.
I wouldn't be surprised if that happened in canon but they just didn't show it, like think of all the other dark things and torture Jesse went through that we didn't see.
The welder dude was basically responsible for welding Jesse up to the slave rig, chain and locks that the Nazis and Todd imprisoned him to cook.

A big Breaking bad fan - just finished the series a few days ago and today the movie.
************************************* REVIEW + SPOILER ALERT **********************************************
This movie was a big mismatch with the series and huge failure (A big waste of time)! Basically every character have been (clearly visible with Jesse P.) degraded and it was very misleading to call it a Breaking Bad movie since the plot circled mainly around about Jesse's life after the escape.
Jesse's "street-smartness", risk-taking character, "quirkiness" have been deleted. In that sense I did not recognise Jesse at all, because that's what describes him. He appeared very depressed, tired and sad as a person, it was sometimes very awkward to see him not deal in difficult situations he would have otherwise managed to do (in Jessie style). Jesse from the entire series I know, through everything he has experienced (Emilio, Tuco, the Cartell, death of Jane and some of his friends, Gus, the DEA and the relation to Walt), does not change. This change was a major blunder for the producer.
The action and suspense is not close/comparable to the series, Jesse is unable to be aggresive, looking for alternative options in crisis situations and threaten people, instead the movie take long shots on soft feelings, something I believe is not targeted for the big part of the BB- audience. There are many scenes which are forced with such content. Walt coughs, Jesse helps/cares for him (?). Happened one or two times in the entire series. Walt would have also probably not agreed on a meeting in a public place (wait isn't he dead? What did really happen after the police arrived?), he is much more clever than that. DEA are all over the place trying to catch both of them. Walt mumbling incoherently in that scene (??). They destroyed both characters. I think the producer wanted to reach a broader audience with this movie.
I think it was not necessary to follow Jesse during the time he was in hostage. If they really wanted to have the movie about Jesse, let him be himself and not a phony (although it would be more interesting to have Walt more included with his genius mastermind character).
