Im here via Jay too! Awesome!! You look so much better already. Great job! I wish you a good smooth recovery and I like your spirit already. I like that your sharing your journey here…😎🥾🥾
Hey Tony, I just learned about you through Jay’s channel and want to wish you a full recovery! It looks like you have a very positive attitude which is such a joy to behold. After watching this video I decided to subscribe. Be well.
Hi Tony, Jay sent us over, so nice to meet you. Saying prayers for you for a speedy recovery. Last year I fell off a 2 story roof, the ladder slid out from under me, and I landed on it on the 1st-floor roof where I broke all four limbs, then rolled off the roof to the ground. Firemen said it was an 18-foot fall and it was a miracle that I lived. I have been in Physical therapy for a year. It is tough but you can do it. Every day just keep putting one foot in front of the other. I am a Health Coach by trade so I take in a lot of nutritional supplements that have sped up my progress, but I still have tough days. Hang in there and I hope to one day see us both on the AT. Keep dreaming and chasing your dreams!
Hi Tony - Jay mentioned that you are recovering from a stroke and vlogging on your experience. I plan on sharing your vlog with my co-workers who work in the area of stroke prevention. Thank you for sharing. When you go on the AT - I would be willing to slack pack and cook some healthy meals for you. The brain is an amazing thing....Best.

Good to hear you stood on your own. Took me a week before I could. My balance was bad enough I couldnt shower alone. Then I got use to using the bars for help. My balance is still bad but I dont need to hold on to the bars anymore, well occasionally. Im sure it will be similar for you. Good luck with that It will come!
Tony , Jay told us about your problems. If I may I have some advise that might help since I have almost been where you are. To shorten the story. 1993 at the age of 49. The day after work I was going to go backpacking and camping. That morning I had three complete Cardiac Arrests at work. Was pronounced dead by the Doc. The nurse went to fold my arms and I squeezed her finger very lightly , or so she told me later. 3 days in a coma and out of it. Surgery's , an implanted defibrillator / pacer. Following what the doctors and therapists told me I managed to get back to what I like ( with restrictions ) but a more reserved style. With lighter gear and especially lighter packs after a triple by pass in 2013. Recovery is always possible , will say a prayer and wish you the best and back at it. Remember , each day is one more step forward. My reward , I did manage to make my original trip but ( shorter ) and almost 2 years alter.
Wow oh my goodness Chuck that is incredible I that is incredible I can't believe that I am just seeing this comment almost 11 days laseven days later well I must have needed it now now more than ever your words of encouragement have put a new light on it was getting a bit discouraged earlier today the progress even though is coming fast doesn't seem to be coming fast enough for me that's enough for me I guess I gotta have a little more patience
