Well ridden in the slop Andy and Ben, impressed by riding at steep section at 7.30, looked more slidey than it was, Ben's Skydio drone does a good job of following actually looked like it had a decent battery life too, ebikes made short work of the climbs, great stuff and thanks for sharing!

Brilliant trails up there! The local lads have put some good graft in! If your ever looking for another local ride up there I've been building up in sutherlands grove 5 mins away from Ben lora and just got myself a e-bike so wouldn't slow you down 👍

I didn’t really enjoy the trails all that much due to the conditions and they still need a bit of work. Definitely a place to come back to in drier conditions though👍

Wondering if you know any trails south of where you are towards campbeltown? Have you ridden the red route at Achnabeac Forest? Any good? Thanks mate
I work in Tarbert 👍 Campbeltown has some fairly good trails and Dunardry near Cairnbaan has some good ones too. Achnabreck is ok, nothing special but still worth a go.

We’ve got loads of campsites all over, but I reckon they will be very busy with people that have the same idea as you, everyone is desperate to get back out. Best to search where you wish to go first, and then check availability.

Hey quick question. I am confused about how you connected the Garmin to the Pivot. I have the 2020 model that has Bluetooth and ANT. Do I need any additional Shimano bit? (Etube, receiver/sender) or does the Garmin connect to the existing setup? Also: your Shimano display is gone. So the Garmin took all the functions over? Assist levels and all?
So I replaced the display with this stupidly expensive part bike.shimano.com/en-EU/product/component/city---trekking-e-bike-e6100-series/EW-EN100.html So that I could use the Garmin instead of the display. The Garmin has to be one of the newer ones, mine is the 530 edge. Using the Garmin iq app, you can download the Shimano steps software to the computer. I can also display a lot more on the Garmin than I could on the e7000 display that the bike came with, like battery percentage rather than the 5 bars, which was one of the main reasons I swapped it.

BTW, does the bike transmit output power? As in : power YOU output? My goal would be to have a Garmin connect or Strava, that has a proper workout in it. My Vivoactive can "broadcast" heart rate, so I would want to have that on the Edge, and it would rock if it actually calculated the workout from the bike. But just having a battery percentage would be such a benefit. I hate the 5-bar "stupid output" :) ... is it 2.001 that shows as 3 bars, or is it 2.999 that shows as 3 bars :) . RANGE ANXIETY :)

Both of them are ebikes, Ben’s is a Santa Cruz heckler and mine is a Pivot Shuttle. Both have Shimano e8000 motors with 500wh batteries. Actually very similar bikes overall.

There's not as many tracks their now it used to be better years ago when the forest wasn't cut, i was there sep. last year there is a few good little sections down through the gully tho

I can’t recommend the Oakley jawbreakers enough. I’ve had mine for about 4 years now and they’ve been great. Expensive though😮

@@denesk2794 you may be able to retain your displays with a Garmin, this device is to replace your display but keep the Bluetooth connectivity etc.
@@denesk2794 the metrics are very good through the Garmin, the sensors in the motor link to it and you can see your cadence, power output etc etc 👍
