      @@vernmorgan7307 28? Stihl don't have a 28. Goes from 25 then jumps to 30. I just tried ordering a 28 and couldn't. Had to get a 30". My new 311 came with a 20, but. Gonna run the 30 on it for huge oaks, hackberry and monster cottonwoods that has to come down.

    25\1? To much oil man. I mix all mine 40\1. Stihl calls for 50\1

    • @justyn5408
      @justyn5408  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I went back to around 50/1 i was mixing 25/1 for a while because i have a vintage saw that uses 25/1 but all my saws seem to run better with about 50/1 mix

      @@justyn5408 back in the 70's and 80's we were running 32/1. Imo 40/1 is best. I don't think 50/1 is enough oil. Most manufacturers today say 50/1 because of regulations. Most pro loggers say 40/1 also. You might think about trying it. Saws will last longer without the carbon build up.

    • @justyn5408
      @justyn5408  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      When i mix 50/1 i usually put in a little extra oil just so i always have a little bit more rather than not enough. So its probably around 45/1 next time i mix some gas i'll try 40/1 i've heard from a few people that use it. One of my old saws is a Sachs Dolmar 120si its a 68cc saw it says to mix it 25/1 but i've been running it on about 50/1 for a while and it seems to run better. They all rev up quicker and start easier after switching back to around 50/1
