I've got a VHS tape of Jimmy that was made in the 80's on how to catch bass that I would watch every spring as the ice was melting to get my strategy down and get PUMPED up. He gave me focus as a young man, THANKS Jimmy!

Being able to fish a short walk from the house must be the closest thing to Heaven on earth. Catching them is even greater. It is clear Lucy and Milburn missed you. You have a strong bond with them which helps keep you strong. Just another of God's gifts (gg's). So Roland is turning 80 on March 14th. Is there a huge party planned? He sure deserves it. Man! I would have a hard time leaving that paradise you live in. But, I guess if you want to live in paradise you gotta leave every once in a while just so it stays sweet to come back home.
It is difficult to leave, Susan, and it is close to Heaven, I believe!!
But I have to leave and make some money to pay for it!! That’s why I just spent 14 straight days on the road. Lol.

He's got a better selection of tackle in his pier/dock box than most of us have in our entire collection. I'm suffering with a bit of tackle envy, Jimmy may help rectify that when his new color combos come out. I'm hoping for a giveaway contest, I'm a little fascinated by that green casting setup. He's been sayin' early this year, I hope it's soon. I'd like to see a video with close up details & discussion of the improvements and features, like that boat one he did a while back.

That was funny how Milburn was taste testing those bass... Lol... some time back I read an article about some deer on an island off the Virginia coast that were seen eating fish that washed up on shore... I guess they didn't know they were supposed to be herbivores... Lol

Jimmy, my buddy and I used to watch your show when it was on TV. at least 25 years ago. It's been a while since I heard that laugh, I didn't realize how much I missed it. Also, I had found an old blonde wig that somewhat resembled your "signature" hairdo. I used to do a pretty good Jimmy Houston impersonation back in the day, fish kiss and all! (people must have thought I was nuts, fishing with a wig on.. )
