This is a very interesting video! Thank you so much for sharing it! My ex-husband and I used to walk along the creek banks in Central Texas and we would load up 5 gallon buckets with paper shell pecans and take them home to dump into #10 wash tubs. In late October and early November we would take four #10 wash tubs full of paper shell pecans to a place north of Georgetown, TX and sell those pecans for 25 cents a pound.

Loved This video on how you get the pecans off the trees. Years ago, when I was a LOT younger, my in-laws had a pecan tree in their backyard. I would climb the tree and shake the branches to get the nuts. I was about 32 at the time. No big deal....as I always loved to climb trees. And so was happy to climb that pecan tree to get my favorite nut. Thanks for the information. Loved the video. Take care and God Bless. 👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

One of my best buddies, since passed away, was a walnut huller. He called that shaker a thrasher, I think. Man that guy would bring big bulk (unbranded) bags of the best pistachios and butter toffee nuts from the processer. We'd eat 'em 'till we just about got "bound up" as my grandmother used to say. She had lots of goos sayings, if we misbehaved she'd say "You better quit, or you're gonna find my hand on your head with a great big knot under it"

You. J Tee are one funny guy and your stories are great!! Now I know where it all comes from, your Gramdma!! Bound up, hand on your head with a knot under it! Can’t wait for
More!! I love that Lady!! Picked up a bunch of walnuts myself as a kid and sold to a huller that would come around and set up at a local store or park!! Even nutty back then! Thanks! Godspeed!! jimmy

I've paid for 4 mission trips to Mexico by baking and selling pecan pies. My former church had a very small stand of pecan trees and i was allowed to pick up the pecan with which I would make chocolate pecan, apple pecan and regular pecan pies.🤟👏👍😎🙏🙏
