    I have been in the business for 43 years...owned my own "Top 20" company, worked for Cendant and Realogy as a senior executive. Been doing this in a variety of positions for a very long time. Mike...your presentation is spot on. Very well stated with supportive facts. Thank you.

    Is there a part 2? It feels like this ended right in the middle of the conversation. "Recognize the changes and act appropriately." Does that mean go to eXp or Compass? How do we compete?

      Hah, no (not yet anyway). For agents, I would suggest being at a company that is asking the RIGHT questions and where you're satisfied with the answers. And that the questions are being re-asked on a regular basis. It's about being informed and making smart choices. You don't want to stand still.

    Hey Mike! Great coverage. I'm curious if you know how Compass is still offering exclusive content given the MLS Clear Cooperation Policy (MLS Statement 8.0 from NAR). It was my understanding that this rule was put into place to specifically address exclusive listing networks. Thanks!

    • @mdelprete1
      @mdelprete1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question. The main thing Compass is doing is keeping listings offline and Compass exclusive. They don't go on the web site, MLS, etc. You only get access to them by calling a Compass agent.

    Thank you Mike! Gary's quote is so true! Curious, have you looked into what Keller Williams is doing for their agents to keep them in center of the transaction with the best tools, technology and training? Would love to hear you expand your conversation on that. It is quite opposite of Realogy and it's "standing still"! I appreciate your work!! :)

      Thanks, glad you liked it! To be fair, I don't think Realogy is exactly standing still...but it's all relative. Each of the big brokerages, including KW, is doing a lot in the space. But the question is if it will be enough.

    Enjoyed this Mike but you're incorrect to say that 'Countrywide didn't do anything wrong' - they had bad luck and bad timing, sure, but also plenty of unforced errors.

    • @mdelprete1
      @mdelprete1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fair point. Plenty of mistakes and errors along the way. The context is really important, and it's hard to hit it all in 30 seconds or less!
