I do watch different reactors and theres a few that stand out. YOU are Definitely one of them! I guess I view Reaction videos a little differently...I am actually by myself quite a bit since I've been separated and I LOOOOVE music! All kinds of music. No matter your mood, theres always some kind of music that can change, enhance, soothe,empower or sympathize with you! So, sometimes I hear a song that I cant wait to show someone just to see how they REACT because you wanna be like " I know, right?! Isnt it amazing??!" LOL But I don't get to do that much. So to me, watching a GOOD reactor is like showing that video to a friend and really hoping they'll have as good a reaction to it as I did. Kinda cool, I think. Some may think that's dumb, but it's why I get such a kick out of watching these. That's also why not everyone is cut out to be a reactor...and I'm not trying to be mean at all. I simply think you have to have an outgoing, sociable,open,and respectful personality that loves music and wants to share that with other people who do too. Sorry if I went way too long but just wanted you to know how much your reactions are appreciated. You show your real, actual emotion like you were sitting around with a bunch of friends and I think that's what makes you great at this. Cant wait for the next one, especially if its Home Free, haha. Adam Rupp,the beatboxer, has a degree in music, but his instrument is the trumpet. When he & his brother Chris started this group back around 2000, he thought the group needed a beatboxer, so he learned to beatbox. Then he taught himself to play drums because he wanted to make sure the sounds & gestures he was making were accurate. Chris left the group in 2016 & was replaced by Adam Chance (aka "Chance"). Chris was in the Country Fried Pop Medley & the Butts Remix. Chance has been in the others you've watched. Home Free just keeps getting better. Love your reactions!

I’ve never really listened to Home Free before. So I’m on this journey with you. I have heard this song and ‘Elvira’ which they sing with the original singers of the song; The Oakridge Boys. They are a vocal quartet that started in the 40’s (if you want a bass that will floor you, listen to them). Both this one and that one are phenomenal. This song is from the movie “O’ Brother Where Art Thou” with George Clooney. George Clooney and the group of men he is with sing the whole song and it’s pretty dang good. George Clooney sings the lead. You should check it out. No drums though 😔 but I was shocked George Clooney could sing so well.
As a drummer , perhaps you should watch Adam Rupp’s ( the beatboxer) “ drum solo “ ( if you do try and find the newest one ) He learned the drums so that he made the correct moves !

That sound at the beginning and end was actually the sound of a mouth harp (or jaw harp) that was being done by the baritone, Adam Chance. You can see him vocalizing it right at the end before the fade-out. Home Free just released their cover of Springsteen's "Born in the USA" a few days ago. Chance takes the lead on this one. Great reaction. Adam Rupp the vocal percussionist is a great drummer! But for some great rhythms, suggest Hillbilly Bone, Can't Stop The Feeling, Wake Me Up, and find the live concert version of 9 to 5 where they ALL beatbox! By the way, the sound you called digeridoo is actually a jaw harp, and done by Adam Chance.
Unless he's doing a stellar solo (like the harmonica one here), Adam goes virtually unnoticed as a beatboxer BECAUSE he's so good at it. I remember when they were competing in "The Sing-off," Ben Folds complimented Adam for not adding frills or unnecessary tricks to his "drumming" just to show off that he can like other groups. That sound at the end is not a didgeridoo, which is an Australian instrument. It's commonly called a Jew's Harp or a mouth harp, and is very common in the South in old-time country and "mountain" music.
I think you nailed why Adam (you were correct) is so underrated most of the time. He is a human drum and doesn't overdo it. It builds such a solid foundation along with the bass line that Home Free can do whatever they want on top of that foundation.

One more, thank you for pointing out the low bass after his solo. Most reactors don't. There are a few but I think you are only the 3rd or 4th I've seen comment on that and there are way more than 3 or 4 reactions to this song on here.
Actually if you didn't come up in a family that gathered frequently for what was called porch sessions you wouldn't know that the sound you thought was a didgeridoo is in truth a lesser known mouth instrument know by a couple of names either a juice harp, mouth harp or a jaw harp. It is in the same obscure category as a wash tub bass. The mouth harp seems like it should be simple, but can be a literal pain in the mouth from your lip getting caught by the spring wire that produces the droning sound. The pitch is regulated by changing the shape of your mouth. Simple but tricky if you don't know what you are doing. Chance is obviously not making use of the instrument, but he is on point with the sound. Love your upbeat reactions. Very uplifting! You can tell that music is your calling 😉👏 and not just a job.
That really low little thing that Tim does after his solo is my absolute favorite thing in this and most reactors never even pick up on it. Kudos to you.
Adam Rupp is the consummate beatboxer! You should check out some of his drum solos especially 2018. This is the only song I've actually seen Austin sort of sing into the back of his throat--he really went all the way into this character. He just released a tribute to Brooks and Dunn Neon Moon and it's awesome. If you haven't gotten into their comedy, check out the Butts Medley, Guilty Pleasures and Story Time with Tim... great.

It's so satisfying to see that other people have the same reaction I do... it's a bit of validation that I'm not off base since I've never been this impressed and affected by any group before in over 70 years. I've liked some groups, but I was usually picking and choosing a few tracks I liked, but I haven't found anything of Home Free that I don't thoroughly enjoy. I should probably add Moonshine, Seven Bridges Road, the Long Black Train by Tim and Chris Rupp... excellent.

One more, thank you for pointing out the low bass after his solo. Most reactors don't. There are a few but I think you are only the 3rd or 4th I've seen comment on that and there are way more than 3 or 4 reactions to this song on here.

Actually if you didn't come up in a family that gathered frequently for what was called porch sessions you wouldn't know that the sound you thought was a didgeridoo is in truth a lesser known mouth instrument know by a couple of names either a juice harp, mouth harp or a jaw harp. It is in the same obscure category as a wash tub bass. The mouth harp seems like it should be simple, but can be a literal pain in the mouth from your lip getting caught by the spring wire that produces the droning sound. The pitch is regulated by changing the shape of your mouth. Simple but tricky if you don't know what you are doing. Chance is obviously not making use of the instrument, but he is on point with the sound. Love your upbeat reactions. Very uplifting! You can tell that music is your calling 😉👏 and not just a job.

That really low little thing that Tim does after his solo is my absolute favorite thing in this and most reactors never even pick up on it. Kudos to you.
Adam Rupp is the consummate beatboxer! You should check out some of his drum solos especially 2018. This is the only song I've actually seen Austin sort of sing into the back of his throat--he really went all the way into this character. He just released a tribute to Brooks and Dunn Neon Moon and it's awesome. If you haven't gotten into their comedy, check out the Butts Medley, Guilty Pleasures and Story Time with Tim... great.

@@DrummingwithJarvis I definitely plan to do just that... really enjoyed your reaction. It's so satisfying to see that other people have the same reaction I do... it's a bit of validation that I'm not off base since I've never been this impressed and affected by any group before in over 70 years. I've liked some groups, but I was usually picking and choosing a few tracks I liked, but I haven't found anything of Home Free that I don't thoroughly enjoy.
I should probably add Moonshine, Seven Bridges Road, the Long Black Train by Tim and Chris Rupp... excellent.
