Interesting video Martin. Very informative, and yes, a little scary. Definitely makes you want to be sure to cook pork properly.

Wa'qqa Martin Paul! I am so glad to see you! I have a question for you. What is the Name of the Yuraq Dance where we go like this like we do both hands outn the right side and then the drums go 3 times and then we go ruff ruff ruff! And the same time on the left side and the Middle we do the same thing but without the "ruff ruff ruff!" Instead we go "Awooooooo!"
How do you do, lad? I am sorry to be this late for your project. My grandchild is studing medicine like yourself and last week while he was researching for cisticercosis (infection of the larvae of Taenia solium) your vÃdeo came up and got him mix-up on this matter (as they are very similar) I want to give some light on the differences to prevent more confusion.
First of all this foodborne paracites thrive in different climates Trichinella spiralis likes cold weather (which may be the reason it called your attention) and Taenia solium (A.K.A. tapeworm) likes warmer weather (with globalisation it no longer matters).
Triquinosis infects muscles in particular (only in severe cases they have moved to other organs, but is not usual) while cisticercosis not only invades the muscles and some organs but it loves to eat and nest in brain tissue.
Trichinella spiralis does not go unnoticed (as you mentioned the symptoms) while Taenia solium often goes unnoticed (the first symptom a patient may show of cisticercosis may be overnight lost of vision in one eye but after beeing tested by an ophthalmologyst the eye is in optimal condition, however it has neurological damage).
Means of diagnosis are mostly the same x-rays, MRI and biopsy (thats what taking a piece of tissue for study is called), biopsy tells us exactly what paracite it is.
They are both treated with Praziquantel (do not automedicate SEE a doctor for that).
If your inmune system is healty the cist of this infections may be calcified.
Pork is no longer the main source for either one (I know of several vegans who have contracted Triquinosis or Cisticercosis from their 100% organic greens (no chemical fertilizers means it use animal feces or dung to grow it, and in orden to prolong shelf life of this products they been neither wash nor sanitized) washing and disinfecting your greens with food grade iodine is very efective.
FDA approved meats and greens will be paracite free (small producers or farmers markets products may not have that garante).
I hope this bief explanation may be of help yet, there still a lot to say about this matter.
I saw your vÃdeo of the song you wrote in high school, where can I send you pictures I have something that I will like to share with You, good night to You all.
Can I have h pylori bacteria
