    Why no body explain after we got the ticket. what do we do with ticket then ?

    • @SwitzerlandInsider
      @SwitzerlandInsider  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good point 😊 you just carry it with you. There are staff that check the ticket on the train. If you dont have one you get a fine. No need to validate your ticket or put it in a slot, no need to enter the bus on the first door. On commuter trains, buses and trams checks are random, but often. On bigger trains you get checked almost every ride. Hope this helps!

    Hi sir, I'm from Indonesia, if i already buy all in one swiss travel pass via application SBB Swiss, it's I've already get that travel pass, that means i can travelling around Swiss with that travel pass without purchasing ticket in every train station/bus station? Btw the city/village that i want to visit are Zurich, wengen and murren. Is there any cheaper suggestions for the transportation sir? Thanks before

      yes, if you have the pass you can travel without getting a ticket each time. some cable cars to go up mountains need an extra ticket. i think you will be fine with the pass, enjoy!

    Hello, How much is a round trip by bus in zurich (from Zurich HB to Kilchberg zh, and back). I have looked up a tons of websites but still can't find this. Would you say it be worth just getting a one way ticket online, x 2?

    • @SwitzerlandInsider
      @SwitzerlandInsider  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Check the sbb website or you can buy the tickets machine or ticket counter at HB. Return in your case means the ticket is valid til end of day and it will be around CHF 10 or a bit more.

      I would get normal tickets or it could be they have local passes! You can check at Geneva train station at the counter for more details. Sometimes there are passes for city+suburb.

    Thank you for this detailed video! Do you recommend sitting on one of the panoramic trains or travel by local trains along the same route? Can we drop on and off the panoramic trains? We would like to be able to drop off at some point to enjoy the sights a bit more.. Would it be too much of a hassle to DIY a train route since we have to buy tickets individually?

    • @somedaize8938
      @somedaize8938 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also, are the prices for bus/train rides more expensive if you do not book in advance and book at these machines? Thank you for your help! Hope to see you around Lucerne!!

    • @SwitzerlandInsider
      @SwitzerlandInsider  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey the panoramic trains run on the same route network (except Jungfraubahn). However if you take the regular train you might need to change here and there. Also the panoramic trains have special carts with extra large windows which is needed to look at the mointains. In a regular train only the window seats get good a view.
      The ticket is basically the same as for a regular train, but you need a mandatory seat reservation, which you can book online. The panoramic trains only run 1-3 times a day so hop on and off is difficult but maybe you can reserve segments only. Please check that on the website. Also there you can book a lunch for example. Although I have not been on a panoramic route yet, this is one thing I am really looking forward to and definitely plan on doing soon! So yes, it sounds absolutely fantastic!

    • @SwitzerlandInsider

      Some Daize yes they are regular fares. Also the saver fares only apply to trains and you need to book them from train station to train station in the SBB app. If you book a journey that includes buses as well, you will not see a discount. Hope this helps! Let me know in insta or fb and I see what we can do! Take care ☺️

    Hi, I am completely confused when using this diabolical machine. Can I use the singe ticket valid for one hour for multiple rides inside the city or do I need to buy a new ticket every time I take the buss/tram/train?

    • @SwitzerlandInsider
      @SwitzerlandInsider  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can ride as long as you want within the hour. But if you get a Kurzstrecke (short distance) you only travel like 5 or six stops. For this they print the station name on the ticket to make a radius. Its confusing, but i hope this helps

      @@SwitzerlandInsider It almost makes sense! I landed in Zurich one week ago and all I can think of is I really wish they had a monthly pass that would cover all bus trains and trams which would not need to have your phone with you all the time or to loose time buying tickets all the time, so much paper waisted :( Thank you very much for your answer! is there any restrictions to the size/wieght of my bagpack if I am using a bus? To go from the Airport to the center of the city for example.
    And I complain about the train been expensive here jesus.

    • @SwitzerlandInsider
      @SwitzerlandInsider  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you should be fine as long as you can carry it yourself! In the buses there is a middle section without seats where there is space for you to place it. Postbuses that go up to mountain villages have a hold where you can place it. If you transport a bicycle or a dog you need to buy an special ticket for it, but not for luggage.

  • @alb5840

    Greetings friend, what is the most common type of pass locals use when they go to work on a regular basis by public transport? Is there a monthly pass for just a city ? Or you guys just use the Swiss pass that lets you use most transportation in the country?
