MinimOSD - Flashing And Configuration

- Today we take a quick look at flashing and configuring a minimOSD with MWOSD firmware and configuring it for a miniquad minimalist setup.
All we really need on a miniquad is battery voltages, RSSI, flight mode, throttle level and flight time. All the other options are useless and just get in the way of our view of the tree we are about to hit.

Thank you for this video. I've been trying several days to configure my Sp Racing f3 +OSD. I've watch numerous videos and read many websites for information to get it working. They all left out an essential ingredient that only your video provided. You must install java. The little hair I still have left wants to say thanks.

ok i know that the osd level pitch line set for craft level...but is there a way to get the osd to let there be more then 15 degree of pitch...the pitch line stops moving about 15 degs.. i want to know what 45 degs. is when im in fpv..is there a way to do this??
Followed Painless 360's process (setting this up on a Naze32 AfroFlight), although I loaded the MWOSD firmware. Setup all the wiring and tested. On the screen I can see the OSD overlay, however the camera is not pushing any video to the monitor. If I remove the OSD the camera pushes video to the monitor without issue. Its as if the camera isn't getting power. I have hooked the leads (at the camera to a Volt Meter) and its getting the standard 10.67 (12v) signal). Any help appreciated. Do you have a break out of how your wiring is installed?
hi i see when you deselect your gps the MAH goes away aswell..i just want to use the MAH on the micro osd i saw that the guys usually land on 900 MAH then your lipo would be in precises 15.1v storage mode.i am flying spracing f3 basic board not full..what i am basically asking must i have the full spracing f3 board with gps just to have my MAH displayed..thank you for help in advance

I figure it out thanks a lot, quick question how do I get the armed and disarmed displayed on the screen.
You may need to enable it if its not on.. Look at around 23:00 and it will show you how to flip through the options and turn them on and off.

Please can you help? When I click on MW_OSD_GUI I get MWOSD GUI R1.6 which when clicked, opens in Wordpad. I can't get the choices that you and evreyone else seem to get?
Do you have Java installed? It is required to run the GUI portion.

if you want to run clmeanflight 1.9.0 and above you should select the one on top of the list

when I activate air mode it doesn't show on the osd know how to fix it?
The OSD firmware doesn't have options for airmode so it will not show it. It might be worth putting feature request in over at MWOSD.com for them to add it to it.

Great video when I tried to upload the sketch it say low memory
Yeah it always says that... The sketch is just at the upper limits of the memory of the arudino.. You can disable a bunch of the GPS stuff and it will help, but generally its nothing to worry about..
it would not upload to the mw osd becuse of low memory available
What version MWOSD? I think I have one still laying around here I can test it and see what I get.

Problem uploading to board. See www.arduino.cc/en/Guide/Troubleshooting#upload for suggestions.
That error is not due to low space.. That is your FTDI adapter not talking to the OSD hardware.
I just successfully uploaded the latest version 1.6 MWOSD to mine with no problem so it shouldn't be an issue.. It will still show the low memory warning but its nothing to be concerned about, its just a large sketch.
Do you know if I can use the minim osd for the kiss fc, I set up a micro minim but it must hav shorted out on the frame when i was trying to find a place to mount it when I first tested it. So now I am back to thinking about using the minim but I dont know if it will communicate with the same format? any help would be cool. Thanks.
