ABANDONED CREEPY CABIN IN THE DESERT Full Of Stuff

  • I found this creepy abandoned cabin / shack / bugout shelter (?) in the desert on my last adventure.
It appeared someone had been here shortly before I arrived, but there is only one road in and out? The road in skirts the perimeter of a volcanic lava flow, and the road is becoming overgrown with thorny mesquite bushes. It's also in a very isolated location. This probably explains the lack of vandalism.
All in all, this is a bizarre place that has miscellaneous items like abandoned vehicles, hand-painted pictures, a basement, and a dummy propped in a chair to make it appear that someone is inside. This place is near the U.S. and Mexico border, so it is plausible that migrants or smugglers do stop here for shelter...

I find it bizarre that this place was built sometime in the early to mid '90s and there's a vehicle from a different state from a different era out there... Thanks for watching and commenting!

My spell checker "Helped" me in the word "Van" became "Event."
I hate it when I discovered this stuff after the fact.

Yeah, that California license plate was issued in the 1980s. I’m not sure when they stopped issuing that design, though. So many mysteries with that cabin! I was hoping you were going to pull that bucket out of the hole in the wall that was in the cellar. The bucket might’ve been acting as a plug or stopper. Might’ve been something stashed behind it. That solitary chair on the roof reminded me of a lookout post. That mannequin was also very odd. Think that place was used for drug smuggling? That rescue tower at the end of the video was also interesting. So that’s to be used by immigrants who make it over the border but are near death due to the harsh desert climate, right? By pressing that red button, they would basically be setting themselves up for apprehension when the Border Patrol shows up, right? Doesn’t make sense.
By the way, I spotted three trail cams in this video. LOL

That van with the vintage California plates was strange, being where it was. Stolen and ditched? I don't know. After you mentioning the bucket, Frank, I am compelled to go back with a, as I responded to Headframe Hunters comment, "a high-capacity persuasion device" to pull that thing to see what's behind it. Maybe a treasure chest, lol, or a nest of scorpions. The purpose of that place is a mystery, but anything is possible...
Those rescue stations are fairly new. They've been installing them in remote areas of the New Mexico desert for the past couple of years. If I was in that kind of situation of migrants, I'd much rather be caught than dying of exposure and thirst in the desert. Thank you for checking out what I've been up to, Frank! I appreciate it.

@@ABANDONED_UNDERGROUND I watched your video again, and it looks like that plugged hole in the wall had some kind of liquid dripping from it. You can see the drip stains on the wall right below the hole. Strange….

Pretty sure that's a drug/human trafficking scout house. The chair on top of the roof to use with binoculars, the bonfires for signalling to coyotes probably hoofing a bunch of drugs, then the vehicles take them into the nearest city to hand off to someone else

All of those theories may be plausible. I just wonder if that's the case, how did the construction go undetected from Border Patrol and the Bureau of Land Management for so long? It appears that this place, and the vehicles left behind indicate that it has been here since at least the '90s.

Me too! The smell of it was quite strange. Frank suggested that I should have removed the bucket in the wall. I might have to go back with a high-capacity persuasion device to check it out again...

Can you blame anyone for wanting to live out of the wilds given what's happened recently though?
