Hi Rick! Covid sucked…shut so much down! Thank you for taking us through the hotel! That’s really scary that you were there with squatters 😣 but I suppose they didn’t bother you as long as you didn’t bother them 🤷♀️
What a shame that this is all abandoned. It is too bad that they didn't re-purpose some of the furniture and salvageable things for people that need them. Thanks Rick.
The Proper People also explored this years ago and said that there was mold there back then. May be why everything was left behind.

What a shame….govt waste is ridiculous…why not let them pay a small portion rather than shutting them down.
I wonder if it was closed also due to mold, that would explain why everything was left there, was too dangerous to remove everything.
COVID was crazy for US
There’s definitely was a more streamlined and less abrupt way of doing that shut down! If they’re not paying taxes the people getting kicked out of the hot hotel that paid for their time aren’t going to magically create more tax money for the city. All they had to do is not take new reservations and close it as soon as the last person was gone. Yes if there was somebody who was staying for a month or something similar that would be different but if it’s a regular hotel that’s not gonna happen.

Another example of waste if the govt was owed taxes
Did the govt take necessary steps to get the taxes owed? auctioning off hotel or the contents
